Ejecting CDs■ Ejecting a CD
To select the CD to be ejected,
press “” or “ ” on or

The number of the CD selected is
shown on the display.
Press and remove the CD.
■ Ejecting all the CDs
Press and hold until you hear a beep, and then remove the CDs.
Selecting, fast-forwarding, re versing and scanning tracks
■ Selecting a track
Press “ ” to move up and “ ” to move down using until the
desired track number is displayed.
To fast forward or reverse, press and hold “ ” or “ ” on until you hear
a beep.
■ Scanning a CD (type A)
Press .
The first ten seconds of each track will be played.
Press again when the desired track is reached.

CAUTION
■When programming a garage door or other remote control device
The garage door on other devices may operate, so ensure people and objects are
out of danger to prevent potential harm.
■Conforming to federal safety standards
Do not use the HomeLink
 Compatible Transceiver with any garage door opener
or device that lacks safety stop and reverse features as required by federal safety
standards.
This includes any garage door that cannot detect an interfering object. A door or
device without these featur es increases the risk of death or serious injury.

Maintenance and care
Replace the light bulb, and install
the bulb base.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb
with the mounting, and insert.
Turn and secure the bulb base.
Shake the bulb base gently to
check that it is not loose, turn the
headlight high beams and daytime
running lights on once and visually
confirm that no light is leaking
through the mounting.
When installing the cover install by conducting with the
directions reversed.

When trouble arises

5-2. Steps to take in an emergency
■Avoiding a discharged battery
●Turn off the headlights and the audio system while the engine is off.
●Turn off any unnecessary electrical components when the vehicle is running at a
low speed for an extended period, such as in heavy traffic, etc.
■Charging the battery
The electricity stored in the battery will discharge gradually even when the vehi-
cle is not in use, due to natural discharge and the draining effects of certain
electrical appliances. If the vehicle is left for a long time, the battery may dis-
charge, and the engine may be unable to start. (The battery recharges automat-
ically during driving.)
■When the battery is removed or discharged
Make sure that the key is not inside the vehicle when recharging or replacing the
battery. The key may be locked in the vehicle if the alarm is activated. ( P. 1 0 1 )
Maintain the engine speed of th e second vehicle and turn the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch to IGNITION ON mode,
then start the vehicle’s engine.
Once the vehicle’s engine ha s started, remove the jumper
cables in the exact reverse ord er in which they were con-
nected.
Once the engine starts, have the ve hicle checked at your Lexus dealer
as soon as possible.STEP5
