Condensation build-up on the inside of the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the insi de of the headlight lens does not indi-
cate a malfunction. Contact your Lexus deal er, for more information in the following
situations: ●
Large drops of water are built up on the inside of the lens. ●
Water has built up in side the headlight.■
LED lights
The front side marker lights, parking light s, daytime running lights, front fog lights,
stop/tail lights, tail lights, rear side mark er lights, high mounte d stoplight and license
plate lights consist of a number of LEDs. If any of the LEDs burn out, take your vehi-
cle to your Lexus dealer to have the light replaced. ■
Discharge headlights
If voltage to the discharge bulbs is insufficient, the bulbs may not come on, or may
go out temporarily. The discharge bulbs will come on when normal power is
restored.

Replacing light bulbs ●
Turn off the headlights. Do not attempt to replace the bulb immediately after turn-
ing off the headlights.
The bulbs become very hot and may cause burns. ●
Do not touch the glass portion of the li ght bulb with bare hands. When it is
unavoidable to hold the glass portion, use and hold with a clean dry cloth to avoid
getting moisture and oils on the bulb.
Also, if the bulb is scratched or dr opped, it may blow out or crack.●
Fully install light bulbs and any parts used to secure them. Failing to do so may
result in heat damage, fire, or water en tering the headlight unit. This may damage
the headlights or cause condensation to build up on the lens. ●
While the low beam headlights are turned
on, and for a short time after they have
been turned off, metal components at the
rear of the headlight assembly will be
extremely hot.
To prevent burns, do not touch these metal
components until you are certain they have
cooled down.Metal components

Discharge headlights ●
Contact your Lexus dealer be fore replacing discharge he adlights (including light
bulbs). ●
Do not touch the high-intensity discharg e headlight’s high voltage socket when
the headlights are turned on.
An extremely high voltage of 30000 V will be discharged and could result in
serious injury or death by electric shock. ●
Do not attempt to take apart or repair the low beam discharge headlight bulbs,
connectors, power supply circuits, or related components.
Doing so could result in electric shock and serious injury or death.■
To prevent damage or fire
Make sure bulbs are fully seated and locked.

Emergency flashers ■
Emergency flashers
If the emergency flashers are used for a long time while the engine is not operating,
the battery may discharge.The emergency flashers are used to warn other drivers when the vehicle
has to be stopped in the road due to a breakdown, etc.
Press the switch. All the turn signal lights will flash.
To turn them off, press the switch
once again.

If a warning light turns on or a warning buzzer sounds...Stop the vehicle immediately. Continui ng to drive the vehicle may be
dangerous.
The following warning in dicates a possible problem in the brake system.
Immediately stop the vehi cle in a safe place and contact your Lexus
dealer.
* : Parking brake engaged warning buzzer:
A buzzer sounds to indicate that the parking brake is still engaged (with the
vehicle having reached a speed of 3 mph [5 km/h]).
Stop the vehicle immediately.
The following warning indicates the po ssibility of damage to the vehicle
that may lead to an ac cident. Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place

(Canada) Brake system warning light (warning buzzer)
*•Low brake fluid
• Malfunction in the brake system
This light also comes on when the parking brake is not
released. If the light turns off after the parking brake is fully
released the system is operating normally.

Charging system warning light
Indicates a malfunction in the vehicle’s charging system.Calmly perform the following actions if any of the warning lights turn on or
flash. If a light turns on or flashes, bu t then turns off, this does not necessar-
ily indicate a malfunction in the system. However, if this continues to occur,
have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

Failing to investigate the cause of the following warnings may lead to the
system operating abnormally and possibly cause an accident. Have the

(Canada) Malfunction indicator lamp
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The emission control system;
• The electronic engine control system;
• The electronic throttle control system; or
• The electronic automatic transmission control system.
SRS warning light
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The SRS airbag system;
• The front passenger occupant classification system; or
• The seat belt pretensioner system.

(Canada) ABS warning light
Indicates a malfunction in:
•The ABS; or
• The brake assist system.
(Comes on or
flashes) Pre-collision system warning light (if equipped)
Indicates:
• Malfunction in the pre-collision system if the light comes on.
• The system cannot temporarily be used if the light flashes.

After taking the specified steps to co rrect the suspected problem, check
that the warning light turns off. Slip indicator light
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The VSC;
• Trailer sway control;
• The Active TRAC;
• The hill-start assist control system;
• Crawl Control system; or
• Multi-terrain select.
(Flashes) “AFS OFF” indicator light
Indicates a malfunction in the AFS.

fasten his/her seat belt. Fasten the seat belt.
Tire pressure warning light
When the light comes on:
Low tire inflation pressure
such as
• Natural causes ( P. 8 2 7 )
• Flat tire ( P. 8 4 9 ) Adjust the tire inflation pres-
sure (including the spare tire)
to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a
few minutes. In case the light
does not turn off even if the
tire inflation pressure is
adjusted, have the system
checked by your Lexus dealer.
When the light comes on after
blinking for 1 minute:
Malfunction in the tire pres-
sure warning system.

Unengaged “Park” warning
light
Indicates that the transmis-
sion “Park” mechanism is not
engaged. Shift four-wheel drive control
