◆ Enabling/Disabling the head-up display
Press the HUD (head-up display)
switch.
◆ Changing settings of the head-up display
Select on the multi-information display (  P. 91), and then select “HUD”
to change the following settings: ■
Display brightness/location
Select to adjust the brightness and location of the head-up display. ■
Display content
Select to enable/disable the following items: • Route guidance to destination
• Driving assist system status
•Compass

Displays the following multi-in formation display linked icons:
: Master warning icon
Displayed when a warning message is displayed on the multi-information
display. (  P. 5 3 2 )
: Information icon
Displayed when a suggestion/advice po p-up display is displayed on the
multi-information display. (  P. 9 1 )
Displays the following items in the appropriate situation: ■
Warning/Message (if equipped)
Displays the following system warning/messages: • Pre-collision warning (pre-collision system)

Displayed when the audio system is operated. ■

Displayed in the following situations: • When the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode
• When the low outside temperature indicator is flashing

Route guidance to destination
Displayed when the navigation system is performing route guidance. When
approaching an intersection, an arrow will be displayed to indicate the sug-
gested direction of travel. ■

Head-up display
The head-up display may seem dark or hard to see when viewed through sunglasses,
especially polarized sunglasses.
Adjust the brightness of the head-up display or remove your sunglasses.■
When the battery is disconnected
The customize settings of the head-up display will be reset.■
Display brightness ●
The brightness of the head-up display can be adjusted on of the multi-information
display. Also, it is automatically adjust ed according to the ambient brightness.●
When the vehicle is stopped, the display may dim temporarily. This is not a malfunction. ■
Enabling/disabling of the head-up display
If the head-up display is disabled, it will rema in disabled when the engine switch is turned
off then back to IGNITION ON mode.
WA R N I N G ■
Before using the head-up display ●
Check that the position and brightness of the head-up display image does not inter-
fere with safe driving. Incorrect adjustment of the image’s position or brightness may
obstruct the driver’s view and lead to an accident, resulting in death or serious injury. ●
Do not continuously look at the head-up di splay while driving as you may fail to see
pedestrians, objects on the road, etc. ahead of the vehicle. ■
Caution for changing settings of the head-up display
As the engine needs to be running while changing the settings of the head-up display,
ensure that the vehicle is parked in a place with adequate ventilation. In a closed area
such as a garage, exhaust gases includin g harmful carbon monoxide (CO) may collect
and enter the vehicle. This may lead to death or a serious health hazard.

When changing the settings of the head-up display
To prevent battery discharge, ensure that th e engine is running while the changing the
settings of the head-up display. ●
Do not place any drinks near the head-up dis-
play projector. If the projector gets wet, elec-
trical malfunctions may result. ●
Do not place anything on or put stickers onto
the head-up display projector.
Doing so could interrupt head-up display
indications. ●
Do not touch the inside of the head-up display
projector or thrust sharp edges or the like into
the projector.
Doing so could cause mechanical malfunc-
tions.

Press the “MENU” button on the Remote Touch, then select “Info” on the “Menu”
screen, and then select “Fuel Consumption”. ■

If the “Past Record” screen is displayed, select “Trip Information”.

Updating the past record data
Update the average fuel consumption by selecting “Update” to measure the current fuel
consumption again. ■
Resetting the data
The fuel consumption data can be deleted by selecting “Clear”. ■
Cruising range
Displays the estimated maximum distance that can be driven with the quantity of fuel
remaining.
This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption.
As a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that displayed.1

vals, as well as the cruising range. 

started.

Changing the door unlock function setting
It is possible to set which doors the entry fu nction unlocks using the wireless remote con-
trol.
Turn the engine switch off.
When the indicator light on the key surface is not on, press and hold for
approximately 5 seconds while pressing and holding .
The setting changes each time an operatio n is performed, as shown below. (When
changing the setting continuously, release the buttons, wait for at least 5 seconds, and
repeat step .)
To prevent unintended triggering of the alarm, unlock the doors using the wireless
remote control and open and close a door once after the settings have been changed. (If
a door is not opened within 60 seconds af ter is pressed, the doors will be locked
again and the alarm will automatically be set.)
In a case that the alarm is triggered, immediately stop the alarm. (  P. 7 8 )1

The system can be operated when the electronic key is inside the vehicle.■
Alarms and warning indicators
A combination of exterior and interior alarms as well as warning messages shown on the
multi-information display are used to prevent theft of the vehicle and accidents resulting
from erroneous operation. Take appropriate measures in response to any warning mes-
sage on the multi-information display.
The following table describes circumstance s and correction procedures when only
alarms are sounded. When locking or unlocking the doors
The system can be operated when the elec-
tronic key is within about 2.3 ft. (0.7 m) of
either of the outside front door handle.
(Only the doors detecting the key can be
