■Use of ethanol blended gasoline in a gasoline engine
Lexus allows the use of ethanol blended gasoline where the ethanol content is up to 10%. Make sure that the ethanol blended gasoline to be used has a Research Octane Numberthat follows the above.
■If your engine knocks
●Consult any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified andequipped professional.
●You may occasionally notice light knocking for a short time while accelerating or driv-ing uphill. This is normal and there is no need for concern.
Fuel information
EU area:
You must only use unleaded gasoline conforming to European standard
EN228.
Select unleaded gasoline with a Rese arch Octane Number of 95 or higher
for optimum engine performance.
Except EU area:
You must only use unleaded gasoline.

■Notice on fuel quality
●Do not use improper fuels. If improper fuels are used, the engine will be damaged.
●Do not use leaded gasoline. Leaded gasoline will cause the three-way cata lytic converter to lose its effectiveness and the emission control system to function improperly.
●EU area: Bioethanol fuel sold under names such as “E50” or “E85” and fuel contain- ing a large amount of ethanol should not be used. The use of these fuels will damage the vehicle’s fuel system. In case of any doubt, ask any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
●Except EU area: Bioethanol fuel sold under names such as “E50” or “E85” and fuel containing a large amount of ethanol should not be used. Your vehicle can use gaso-
line mixed with 10% max ethanol. The use of fuel with more than 10% ethanol content (E10) will damage the vehicle’s fuel system. You must ensure that refueling is carried out only from a source where fuel specification and quality can be guaranteed. In case
of any doubt, ask any authorized Lexus deal er or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
●Do not use the methanol blended gasoline such as M15, M85, M100. The use of gas-
oline containing methanol may cause engine damage or failure.

and the turn signal lever is moved to the fi rst position in the direction of the flashing
light, the turn signal lights can be selected to be flashing or off.

●Is the window lock switch pressed?
The power window except for the one at the driver’s seat cannot be operated
if the window lock switch is pressed. ( P. 196)
●The auto power off function will be operated if the vehicle is left in ACCES-
SORY or ON mode (the hybrid system is not operating) for a period of time.
( P. 217)
●The seat belt reminder light is flashing
Are the driver and the front passenger wearing the seat belts? ( P. 539)
●The parking brake indicator is on
Is the parking brake released? ( P. 230)
Depending on the situation, other types of warning buzzer may also sound.

●Did anyone inside the vehicle open a door or anything move inside the vehicle
during setting the alarm?
The sensor detects them and the alarm sounds. ( P. 102)
Do one of the following to deactivate or stop the alarm:
• Unlock the doors or open the trunk using the entry function or wireless remote con-
trol. • Start the hybrid system.
