Interior features NOTICE ■
To avoid compass malfunctions
Do not place magnets or any metal objects near the inside rear view mirror.
Doing this may cause the comp ass sensor to malfunction.■
To ensure normal oper ation of the compass●
Do not perform circling calibration of the compass in a place where the earth's mag-
netic field is subject to interferen ce by artificial magnetic fields.●
During calibration, do not operate electric systems (moon roof, power windows, etc.)
as they may interfere with the calibration.

Brake ●
Painted brake calipers (if equipped)
• When using detergent, use ne utral detergent. Do not use hard brushes or abrasive
cleaners, as they will damage the paint.
• Do not use detergent on the brake calipers when they are hot.
• Wash detergent off immediately after use. ●
RC F: Rust may form if the vehicle is parked with wet brake pads or disc rotors, causing
them to stick. Before parking the vehicle af ter it is washed, drive slowly and apply the
brakes several times to dry the parts. ■
Bumpers
Do not scrub with abrasive cleaners. ■
Side windows water-repelle nt coating (if equipped)●
The following precautions can extend the effectiveness of the water-repellent coating.
• Remove any dirt, etc. from the side windows regularly.
• Do not allow dirt and dust to accumulate on the windows for a long period.
Clean the windows with a soft, damp cloth as soon as possible.
• Do not use wax or glass cleaners that co ntain abrasives when cleaning the windows.
• Do not use any metallic objects to remove condensation build up.●
When the water-repellent performance has become insufficient, the coating can be
repaired. Contact your Lexus dealer.
WARNING ■
When washing the vehicle
Do not apply water to the inside of the engine compartment. Doing so may cause the
electrical components etc. to catch fire. ■
When cleaning the windshield (vehicles with rain-sensing windshield wipers)

When the upper part of the windshield where the raindrop se nsor is located is
touched by hand ●
When a wet rag or similar is held close to the raindrop sensor ●
If something bumps against the windshield ●
If you directly touch the raindrop sensor bo dy or if something bumps into the raindrop
sensorSet the wipers to the intermittent windshield
wipers. (  P. 236)
If AUTO mode is selected, the wipers may
operate unexpectedly in the following situa-
tions, and may result in hands being caught or
other serious injuries and cause damage to the
wiper blades.

Parking brake warning light (warning buzzer)

Indicates that the parking brake is engaged
 Release the parking brake.
Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer)
Indicates a malfunction in the EPS (Electric Power Steering) sys-
tem
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
LDA (Lane Departure Alert) indicator
If the LDA indicato r is illuminated:
Indicates a malfunction in the LDA (Lane Departure Alert with
steering control) system.
 Check the warning message displa yed on the multi-information
display. (  P. 460)
If the LDA indicator flashes:
Indicates that the vehicle has deviated from the lane (while the
LDA [Lane Departure Alert with stee ring control] system is oper-
ating)
 Check the area around the vehicle and return the vehicle to
between the lane lines. (Flashes or illuminates)
PCS warning light
Indicates a malfunction in the PCS (Pre-Collision System) or that
the system is temporarily unavailable due to the vehicle being
extremely hot/cold, or dirt around a front sensor, etc.
 Follow the instructions displaye d on the multi-information dis-
play. (  P. 260, 470)
If the PCS (Pre-Collision System ) or VSC (Vehicle Stability Con-
trol) system is disabled, the PC S warning light will illuminate.

Slip indicator
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) system;
• The TRAC (Traction Control) system; or
• The hill-start assist control system
The light will flash when the VSC or the TRAC system is operating.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately. (If equipped)
Automatic headlight leve ling system warning light
Indicates a malfunction in the automatic headlight leveling system
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
Open door warning light (warning buzzer)

Indicates that a door or the trunk is not fully closed

When trouble arises ■
SRS warning light
This warning light system monitors the airbag sensor assembly, front impact sensors, side
impact sensors (door), side impact sensors (front), side im pact sensors (rear), driver’s
seat position sensor, driver’s seat belt buckle switch, front passenger occupant classifica-
tion system, “AIR BAG ON” indicator light, “A IR BAG OFF” indicator light, front passen-
ger’s seat belt buckle switch, seat belt pretensioners, airbags, interconnecting wiring and
power sources. (  P. 41) ■
Front passenger detection sensor, seat belt reminder and warning buzzer
If luggage is placed on the front passenger seat, the front passenger detection sensor
may cause the warning light to flash and the warning buzzer to sound even if a passenger
is not sitting in the seat. ■
If the malfunction indicator lamp comes on while driving
First check the following: ●
Is the fuel tank empty?
If it is, fill the fu el tank immediately.●
Is the fuel tank cap loose?
If it is, tighten it securely.
The light will go off after several driving trips.
If the light does not go off even after severa l trips, contact your Lexus dealer as soon as
possible. ■
Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer)
When the battery charge becomes insufficien t or the voltage temporarily drops, the
electric power steering system warning li ght may come on and the warning buzzer may
sound. ■
When the tire pressure warning light comes on
Check the tire inflation pressu re and adjust to the approp riate level. Pushing the tire
pressure warning reset switch will not tu rn off the tire pressure warning light.■
The tire pressure warning light ma y come on due to natural causes
The tire pressure warning light may come on due to natural causes such as natural air
leaks and tire inflation pressure changes caus ed by temperature. In this case, adjusting
the tire inflation pressure will turn off the warning light (aft er a few minutes).■
When a tire is replaced with the spare tire (if equipped)
The spare tire is not equipped with a tire pr essure warning valve and transmitter. If a tire
goes flat, the tire pressure warning light will not turn off even though the flat tire has been
replaced with the spare tire. ■
Conditions that the tire pressure wa rning system may not function properly

If the tire pressure warning light freque ntly comes on after blinking for 1 minute
If the tire pressure warning light frequently comes on after blinking for 1 minute when the
engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mo de, have it checked by your Lexus dealer.■
Warning buzzer
In some cases, the buzzer ma y not be heard due to being in a noisy location or audio
sound.

If the vehicle reaches a speed of 3 mph (5 km/h),
flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate
that the hood is not yet fully closed.
 Close the hood.
Indicates that the trunk is not fully closed
If the vehicle reaches a speed of 3 mph (5 km/h),
flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate
that the trunk is not yet fully closed.
 Close the trunk. (If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the intuitive parking assist-sen-
sor
The assist-sensors flash.
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer. (If equipped)
Indicates that an intuitive par king assist sensor is dirty or
covered with ice
A buzzer also sounds.
 Clean the sensor.Warning message Details/Actions

RC F_U Indicates a malfunction in the vehicle’s charging system.
 Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and
contact your Lexus dealer. Continuing to drive the
vehicle may be dangerous.
Indicates that the radar sensor is dirty or covered with
ice
A buzzer also sounds.
 Clean the sensor.
Indicates that the dynamic radar cruise control system
cannot be used temporarily due to bad weather
A buzzer also sounds.
 Use the dynamic radar cruise control system when

When trouble arises Indicates a malfunction in the smart access system with
push-button start
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer. (If equipped)
Indicates that a Blind Spot Monitor sensor or the sur-
rounding area on the bumper is dirty or covered with ice
A buzzer also sounds.
 Clean off the dirt, snow, ice, etc. and drive the vehi-
cle with the operation conditions of the BSM func-
tion (  P. 295) satisfied for approximately 10
minutes. If the warning me ssage does not disappear,
the sensor may be misaligned. Have the vehicle
inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise con-
trol system
Press the “ON/OFF” button once to deactivate the
system, and then press the button again to reactivate
the system.
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in the LDA (Lane Departure
Alert with steering control) system
A buzzer also sounds.

met.
The following systems may be suspended until the
problem shown in the message is resolved.
• PCS (Pre-Collision System)
• LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering control)
• Dynamic radar cruise control
•Automatic High Beam

Indicates that the system is temporarily unavailable due
to a malfunction in a sensor other than the camera sen-
sor
A buzzer also sounds.
 Turn the LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering
control) system off, wait for a little while, and then
turn the LDA (Lane Depart ure Alert with steering

* : Refer to the separate “Scheduled Mainte nance” or “Owner’s Manual Supplement”
for the maintenance interval applicable to your vehicle. Indicates that operation of large electricity consuming
systems such as the air conditioning system are sus-
pended
 Stop using unnecessary electric components to
reduce electricity consumpt ion. Wait a while until
the electric power supply is restored.
If this message is freque ntly displayed, have the
vehicle inspected at your Lexus dealer immediately.
Indicates that the PCS (Pre -Collision System) is tempo-
rarily unavailable
 When conditions improve, the system resumes
operation. If this message is displayed continuously,
have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates that part of th e PCS (Pre-Collision System)
sensor is dirty, covered with ice, etc.

and the turn signal lever is moved to the first position in the direction of the flashing
light, the turn signal lights can be selected to be flashing or off.
