When using the microphone ●
It is unnecessary to speak directly into the microphone when giving a command.●
Wait for the confirmation beep before speaking a command. ●
Voice commands may not be recognized if:
• Spoken too quickly.
• Spoken at a low or high volume.
• The roof or windows are open.
• Passengers are talking while voice commands are spoken.
• The air conditioning speed is set high.
• The air conditioning vents are turned towards the microphone. ●
In the following conditions, the system ma y not recognize the command properly and
using voice commands may not be possible:
• The command is incorrect or unclear. No te that certain words, accents or speech
patterns may be difficult for the system to recognize.
• There is excessive background noise, such as wind noise. ■
When searching for a track ●
A USB memory or iPod must be connected to enable track searching and playback.
(  P. 3 9 9 ) ●
When a USB memory or iPod is connected, recognition data is created so tracks can
be searched using voice commands. ●
Recognition data is updated un der the following conditions:
• When the USB memory or iPod data has changed.
• When the voice recognition language is changed. (  P. 4 0 3 )●
While the recognition data is being created or being updated, a track search cannot be
performed using a voice command. ■

Due to natural language speech recognitio n technology, this system enables rec-
ognition of a command when spoken naturally. However, the system cannot rec-
ognize every variation of each command.
In some situations, it is possible to omit the command for the procedure and
directly state the desired operation.

Selecting the operation screen
When selecting the main display, move the Remote Touch knob to the left.
When selecting the side display, move the Remote Touch knob to the right. ■

Automatic air conditioning system (  P. 4 9 9 )
Set the air conditioning system to automatic mode. The temperature for the driver’s seat and front passenger’s seat can be adjusted indi-
vidually.
Seat heaters and ventilators (  P. 506, 507)
Select “AUTO” mode on each seat. Seat heater or ventilation is automatically selected according to the set temperature
of the air conditioning system, outside temperature, etc.Lexus Climate Concierge 
 : If equippedThe climate control seats are automati cally controlled according to the set
temperature of the air conditioning system, outside temperature, cabin tem-
perature, etc. Lexus Climate Concierge allows a comfortable condition to be
maintained without adjusting each system.

Adjusting the temperature setting
Press to increase the temperature and to decrease the temper-
ature. ■
Adjusting the fan speed setting
Press to increase the fan speed and to decrease the fan speed.
Press the “OFF” button to turn the fan off.Automatic air conditioning system Air outlets and fan speed are automatica lly adjusted according to the temper-
ature setting.
Vehicles with a Lexus Display Audio sy stem: Press the “MENU” button on the
Lexus Display Audio controller, then select “Climate” to display the air condi-
tioning control screen.
For details on the Lexus Display Audio controller, refer to “Lexus Display
Audio controller” on P. 392.
Vehicles with a navigati on system: Press the “MENU” button on the Remote
Touch, then select to display th e air conditioning control screen.
Vehicles with a navigation system (12.3- inch display): The air conditioning sys-
tem can be displayed and operated on the side display. (  P. 4 9 3 )

Change the airflow mode
To change the air outlets, press .
The air outlets used are switched each time the button is pressed.
Air flows to the upper body.
Air flows to the upper body and feet.
Air flows to the feet.
Air flows to the feet and the windshield defogger operates■
S-FLOW mode
In S-FLOW mode, priority for the airflow is given to the front seats, reducing
the airflow and air conditioning effect on the rear seats.
If a passenger is not detected in the front passenger seat, priority for the air-
flow will be given to the driver's seat only. In this case, the temperature indicator fo r the front passenger side will turn off.
S-FLOW mode will be activated automatically according to the set tempera-
ture, outside temperature, etc. (  P. 5 0 2 )The indicator comes on when S-FLOW mode is on.

Using the automatic mode
Press the “AUTO” button or select “AUTO” on the air conditioning control
screen.
Press to switch to automatic air intake mode. (if equipped)
The air conditioning system automati cally switches between outside air
and recirculated air modes.
Adjust the temperature setting.
To stop the operation, press the “OFF” button.■
Automatic mode indicator
If the fan speed setting or air flow modes are operated, the automatic mode
indicator goes off. However, automati c mode for functions other than that
operated is maintained. ■
Adjusting the temperature for driver and passenger seats separately
(“DUAL” mode)
To turn on the “DUAL” mode, perform any of the following procedures: ●
Select “DUAL” on the air co nditioning control screen.●
Select “DUAL” on the side display operation screen.(Vehicles with a navi-
gation system [12.3-inch display]) ●
Adjust the temperature setting of the passenger side with the passenger
side temperature adjustment button. The indicator comes on when the “DUAL” mode is on.
