HEATED WINDOWS AND MIRRORS
Note: Make sure the engine is running
before operating the heated windows.
Heated Rear Window Press the button to clear the
heated rear window of thin ice and
fog. The heated rear window turns
off after a short period of time. Press the
button again to switch it off.
Note: Do not use razor blades or other
sharp objects to clean or remove decals from
the inside of the heated rear window. The
vehicle warranty does not cover damage
caused to the heated rear window grid lines. Heated Exterior Mirrors
When you switch the heated rear window
on, the heated exterior mirrors turn on.
Note:
Do not remove ice from the mirrors
with a scraper or adjust the mirror glass
when it is frozen in place.
Note: Do not clean the mirror housing or
glass with harsh abrasives, fuel or other
petroleum-based cleaning products. CABIN AIR FILTER
Your vehicle is equipped with a cabin air
filter, which gives you and your passengers
the following benefits:
•
It improves your driving comfort by
reducing particle concentration.
• It improves the interior compartment
cleanliness.
• It protects the climate control
components from particle deposits.
You can locate the cabin air filter behind the
glove box.

Note:
Make sure you have a cabin air filter
installed at all times. This prevents foreign
objects from entering the system. Running
the system without a filter in place could
result in degradation or damage to the
system.
Replace the filter at regular intervals. See
Scheduled Maintenance (page 483).
For additional cabin air filter information, or
to replace the filter, see an authorized dealer.
REMOTE START
You can switch this feature on or off and
adjust the settings using the information
display.
The system adjusts the interior temperature
depending on your chosen settings during
remote start.
You cannot adjust the climate control setting
during remote start operation. When you
switch the ignition on, the climate control
system returns to the previous settings. You
can now make adjustments. You need to switch on certain
vehicle-dependent features, such as:
•
Heated seats.
• Cooled seats.
• Heated steering wheel.
• Heated mirrors.
• Heated rear window.
Automatic Settings
In hot weather, the system sets to
72°F
(22°C). The cooled seats are set to high (if
available, and AUTO is on in the information
display).
In moderate weather, the system either heats
or cools (based on previous settings). The
rear defroster, heated mirrors and heated or
cooled seats do not turn on.
In cold weather, the system sets to
72°F
(22°C). The heated seats are set to high (if
available, and AUTO is on in the information
display). The heated rear window and heated
mirrors turn on.

Power Lumbar (Limo/Livery)
Four Way Power Lumbar (If Equipped)
The lumbar control is located on the side of
the seat cushion. Press the front or rear of the control to adjust
firmness or softness.
Press the top or bottom of the control to raise
or lower the height of the lumbar support.
MEMORY FUNCTION
WARNINGS
Before activating the memory seat,
make sure that the area immediately
surrounding the seat is clear of obstructions
and that all occupants are clear of moving
parts. WARNINGS
Do not use the memory function when
your vehicle is moving.
This feature automatically recalls the position
of the following:
•
Driver seat.
• Power mirrors.
• Optional power steering column.
• Optional power adjustable foot pedals.

REAR VIEW CAMERA
WARNINGS
The rear view camera system is a
reverse aid supplement device that still
requires the driver to use it in conjunction
with the interior and exterior mirrors for
maximum coverage. Objects that are close to either corner
of the bumper or under the bumper,
might not be seen on the screen due to the
limited coverage of the camera system. Use caution when the rear cargo door
is ajar. If the rear cargo door is ajar, the
camera will be out of position and the video
image may be incorrect. All guidelines
disappear when the rear cargo door is ajar.
Failure to follow this instruction could result
in personal injury. Reverse your vehicle slowly. Failure to
follow this instruction could result in
the loss of control of your vehicle, personal
injury or death. Do not switch the camera features on
or off when your vehicle is moving. The rear view camera system provides a
video image of the area behind your vehicle.
During operation, lines appear in the display
which represent your vehicle
’s path and
proximity to objects behind your vehicle. The camera is located on the luggage
compartment door.
Using the Rear View Camera System
The rear view camera system displays what
is behind your vehicle when you place the
transmission in reverse (R).Note:
The reverse sensing system is not
effective at speeds above 3 mph (5 km/h)
and may not detect certain angular or
moving objects.
The system uses three types of guides to
help you see what is behind your vehicle:
• Active guidelines (if equipped): Show the
intended path of your vehicle when
reversing.
• Fixed guidelines: Show the actual path
your vehicle is moving in while reversing
in a straight line. This can be helpful
when backing into a parking space or
aligning your vehicle with another object
behind you.
• Centerline: Helps align the center of your
vehicle with an object (for example, a
trailer).
Note: When towing, the camera only sees
what you are towing. This might not provide
adequate coverage as it usually provides
during normal operation and some objects
may not be seen. In some vehicles, the
guidelines disappear when you connect the
trailer tow connector.

Centerline
E Always use caution while reversing. Objects
in the red zone are closest to your vehicle
and objects in the green zone are farther
away. Objects are getting closer to your
vehicle as they move from the green zone
to the yellow or red zones. Use the side view
mirrors and rear view mirror to get better
coverage on both sides and rear of the
vehicle.
Manual Zoom WARNING
When manual zoom is on, the full area
behind your vehicle may not show. Be
aware of your surroundings when using the
manual zoom feature. Note:
Manual zoom is only available when
the transmission is in reverse (R).
Note: When you enable manual zoom, only
the centerline is shown. Manual zoom allows you to get a closer view
of an object behind your vehicle. The
zoomed image keeps the bumper in the
image to provide a reference. The zoom
feature is only active while the transmission
is in reverse (R).
Selectable settings for this feature are Zoom
in (+) and Zoom out (-). Press the symbol in
the camera screen to change the view. The
default setting is Zoom OFF.
Camera System Settings
The rear view camera system settings can
be accessed through the display screen.
See Settings (page 443).
Enhanced Park Aids or Park Pilot (If
Equipped)
The system provides an image of your
vehicle and the sensor zones in the display
screen. The zones highlight green, yellow
and red when the parking aid sensors detect
an object in the coverage area.
Selectable settings for this feature are ON
and OFF.

LANE KEEPING SYSTEM (If Equipped) WARNINGS
The system is designed to aid the
driver. It is not intended to replace your
attention and judgment. You are still
responsible to drive with due care and
attention. Always drive with due care and
attention when using and operating the
controls and features on your vehicle. At all times, you are responsible for
controlling your vehicle, supervising
the system and intervening, if required.
Failure to take care may result in the loss of
control of your vehicle, serious personal
injury or death. In cold and severe weather conditions
the system may not function. Rain,
snow and spray can all limit sensor
performance. WARNINGS
The system will not operate if the
sensor cannot track the road lane
markings. The sensor may incorrectly track lane
markings as other structures or objects.
This can result in a false or missed warning. The system may not operate properly
if the sensor is blocked. Keep the
windshield free from obstruction. If damage occurs in the immediate area
surrounding the sensor, have your
vehicle checked as soon as possible. Note:
The system works above
40 mph
(64 km/h).
Note: The system works as long as the
camera can detect one lane marking.
Note: When Aid or both modes are selected
and the system detects no steering activity
for a short period, the system alerts you to
put your hands on the steering wheel. The
system may detect a light grip or touch on
the steering wheel as hands off driving. The system notifies you to stay in your lane
through the steering system and the
instrument cluster display when the front
camera detects an unintentional drift out of
your lane is likely to occur. The system
automatically detects and tracks the road
lane markings using a camera mounted
behind the interior rear view mirror.
Switching the System On and Off
Note:
The system on or off setting is stored
until it is manually changed, unless a MyKey™
is detected. If the system detects a MyKey™
it defaults to on and the mode is set to Alert.

BLIND SPOT INFORMATION
SYSTEM (If Equipped) WARNING
Never
use the Blind Spot Information
System as a replacement for using the
interior and exterior mirrors or looking over
your shoulder before changing lanes. The
Blind Spot Information System is not a
replacement for careful driving. The Blind Spot Information System is
designed to aid you in detecting vehicles
that may have entered the blind spot zone
(A). The detection area is on both sides of
your vehicle, extending rearward from the
exterior mirrors to approximately
10 ft (3 m)
beyond the bumper. The system is designed
to alert you if certain vehicles enter the blind
spot zone while driving.
Note: The Blind Spot Information System
does not prevent contact with other vehicles
or objects; nor detect parked vehicles,
people, animals or infrastructure (fences,
guardrails, trees). It’ s only designed to alert
you to vehicles in the blind spot zones.

Note:
When a vehicle passes quickly through
the blind spot zone, typically fewer than two
seconds, the system does not trigger.
Using the System
The Blind Spot Information System turns on
when you start the engine and you drive your
vehicle forward above 3 mph (5 km/h).
For automatic transmissions, the Blind Spot
Information System remains on while the
transmission is in drive (D). If shifted into
reverse (R) or park (P) the Blind Spot
Information System turns off. Once shifted
back into drive (D), the Blind Spot Information
System turns back on when you drive your
vehicle above
3 mph (5 km/h).
For manual transmissions, the Blind Spot
Information System is on for all gears except
the reverse (R).
Note: The Blind Spot Information System
does not function in reverse (R) or park (P). System Lights and Messages
The Blind Spot Information System
illuminates an amber alert indicator in the
outside mirror on the side of your vehicle the
approaching vehicle is coming from.
The alert indicator dims when the system
detects nighttime darkness.System Sensor Blockage The system uses radar sensors that are
located behind the bumper fascia on each
side of your vehicle. Any dirt, mud and snow
in front of the sensors and/or driving in heavy
rain can cause system degradation. Also,
other types of obstructions in front of the
sensor can cause system degradation. This
is referred to as a ‘blocked’ condition.
Note:
Do not apply bumper stickers and/or
repair compound to these areas, this can
cause degraded system performance.

CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (If Equipped)
WARNING
Never
use the Cross Traffic Alert
system as a replacement for using the
interior and exterior mirrors and looking over
your shoulder before backing out of a
parking space. Cross Traffic Alert is not a
replacement for careful driving. Cross Traffic Alert is designed to warn you
of vehicles approaching from the sides when
the transmission is in reverse (R).
Using the System
Cross Traffic Alert turns on when you start
the engine and you shift into reverse (R).
Once shifted out of reverse (R), Cross Traffic
Alert turns off.
Note:
Cross Traffic Alert only functions while
your transmission is in reverse (R).
Cross Traffic Alert is designed to alert the
driver of certain collision risks. Coverage
decreases when the sensors are partially,
mostly or fully obstructed. Reversing slowly
helps increase the coverage area and
effectiveness. 226

System Lights, Messages and Audible
Alerts
The Cross Traffic Alert illuminates an amber
alert indicator in the outside mirror on the
side of your vehicle the approaching vehicle
is coming from. Cross Traffic Alert also
sounds an audible alert and a message
appears in the information display indicating
a vehicle is coming from the right or left.
Cross Traffic Alert works with the reverse
sensing system that sounds its own series
of tones. See Rear Parking Aid (page 197). The system uses radar sensors that are
located behind the bumper fascia on each
side of your vehicle. Do not allow mud, snow
or bumper stickers to obstruct these areas,
this can cause degraded system
performance.
See Blind Spot Information
System (page 223). If the Blind Spot
Information System is blocked, Cross Traffic
Alert is also blocked. A corresponding
message appears in the information display
as soon as you shift the transmission into
reverse (R).
System Limitations
Cross Traffic Alert has its limitations;
situations such as severe weather conditions
or debris build-up on the sensor area may
limit vehicle detection. The system detects approaching vehicles
from up to
45 ft (14 m) away, though
coverage decreases when the sensors are
blocked. Reversing slowly helps increase the
coverage area and effectiveness.
The following are other situations that may
limit the Cross Traffic Alert performance:
• Stationary or slow moving vehicles.
• Pedestrians or objects in the roadway.
• Oncoming vehicles in the same lame.
• Severe weather conditions.
• Debris build-up near or around the
sensor(s).
• Small distance to the vehicle ahead.
• Adjacently parking vehicles or objects
obstructing the sensors.
• Approaching vehicles passing at speeds
greater than
15 mph (24 km/h).
• Driving in reverse faster than
3 mph
(5 km/h).
• Backing out of an angled parking spot.
