System check and vehicle feature customization
Press the SETUP button repeatedly
to cycle the message center through
the following features:

the RESET button and the message
center will begin to cycle through
the following systems and provide a
status of the item if needed.
1. XXX% OIL LIFE
2. DOORS STATUS
3. TRUNK CLOSED
4. BLIND SPOT SYSTEM (if equipped)
5. CROSS TRAFFIC SYSTEM (if equipped)
6. BRAKE SYSTEM
7. FUEL LEVEL
8. MYKEY DISTANCE (If MyKeyis programmed)
9. MYKEY(S) PROGRAMMED
10. ADMIN KEYS PROGRAMMED
Note:Some systems show a message only if a condition is present.
OIL LIFE
This displays the remaining oil life.
An oil change is required whenever indicated by the message center and
according to the recommended maintenance schedule. USE ONLY
RECOMMENDED ENGINE OILS.
To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change,
perform the following:
1. Press and release SETUP to display “OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET =
NEW”.
2. Press and hold RESET for two seconds and release to reset the oil life
to 100%.

Unlocking the doors/two-stage unlock
1. Pressand release to unlock the driver’s door.Note:The interior
lamps will illuminate.
2. Press
and release again within five seconds to unlock all the doors.
The remote entry system activates the illuminated entry feature; this
feature turns on the lamps for 25 seconds or until the ignition is turned
to the on position.
The battery saver feature will turn off the lamps 30 minutes after the
ignition is turned to the off position.
Two-stage unlocking may be disabled or re-enabled by simultaneously
pressing the
andcontrols on the IKT for four seconds (disabling
two-stage unlock allows all vehicle doors to unlock simultaneously). The
turn lamps will illuminate twice to indicate that two-stage unlock was
enabled or disabled.
Opening front windows and moon roof
You can open the vehicle’s windows, and (if equipped) vent the moon
roof by using the
control on the transmitter. Refer toPower
windowsin theDriver Controlschapter for more information.
Locking the doors
1. Pressand release to lock all the doors. The turn lamps will flash.
2. Pressand release again within three seconds to confirm that all the
doors are closed.Note:The doors will lock again, the horn will chirp and
the turn lamps will illuminate once if all the doors and trunk are closed.
Note:If any door or the trunk is not closed, or if the hood is not closed
in vehicles equipped with the perimeter alarm feature, the horn will
chirp twice and the lamps will not illuminate.
Car finder
Press
twice within three seconds. The horn will chirp and the turn
lamps will flash. It is recommended that this method be used to locate
your vehicle, rather than using the panic alarm.
Sounding a panic alarm
Pressto activate the alarm. The horn will sound and the turn lamps will
flash for a maximum of three minutes. Press again or turn the ignition to the
on position to deactivate, or wait for the alarm to time out in three minutes.
Note:The panic alarm will only operate when the ignition is in the off
position.

Erasing personal code
1. Enter the factory set 5–digit code.
2. Within five seconds, press the 1•2 on the keypad and release.
3. Press and hold the 1•2 for two seconds. This must be done within
five seconds of completing Step 2.
All personal codes are now erased and only the factory set 5–digit code
will work.
Anti-scan feature
If the wrong code has been entered seven times (35 consecutive button
presses), the keypad will go into an anti-scan mode. This mode disables
the keypad for one minute and the keypad lamp will flash.
The anti-scan feature will turn off after:
•one minute of keypad inactivity.
•pressing the
control on the remote entry transmitter portion of
your integrated keyhead transmitter.
•the ignition is turned on.
Unlocking and locking the doors using keyless entry
To unlock the driver’s door,enter the factory set 5-digit code or your
personal code. Each number must be pressed within five seconds of each
other. The interior lamps will illuminate.Note:If the two-stage unlocking
feature is disabled, all doors will unlock; for more information regarding
two-stage unlocking, refer to theUnlocking the doors/Two stage unlock
section earlier in this chapter.
To unlock all doors,enter the factory set code or your personal code,
then press the 3•4 control within five seconds.
To open the trunk,enter the factory set code or your personal code,
then press the 5•6 control within five seconds.
To lock all doors,press and hold the 7•8 and the 9•0 at the same
time (with the driver’s door closed). Youdo notneed to enter the
keypad code first.

Outboard head restraints
The outboard adjustable head
restraints consist of:
•a trimmed energy absorbing foam
and structure (1),
•two steel stems (2),
•a guide sleeve adjust/release
button (3),
•and a guide sleeve unlock/remove
button (4).
To adjust the outboard head restraints, do the following:
1. Raise the head restraint by pulling up on the head restraint.
2. Lower the head restraint by pressing and holding the guide sleeve
adjust/release button and pushing down on the head restraint.
Properly adjust the head restraint so that the top of the head restraint is
even with the top of your head and positioned as close as possible to the
back of your head. For occupants of extremely tall stature, adjust the
head restraint to its full up position.
WARNING:The adjustable head restraint is a safety device.
Whenever possible it should be installed and properly adjusted
when the seat is occupied.
To remove the outboard head restraints, do the following:
1. Pull up the head restraint until it reaches the highest adjustment
position.
2. Simultaneously press and hold both the adjust release button and the
unlock/remove button, then pull the head restraint upward. (You may
have to fold the seat slightly in order to pull the headrest out.)
3. Store the head restraint in a secure location, such as the trunk of the
vehicle.
To reinstall the outboard head restraints, do the following:
1. Insert the two stems into the guide sleeve collars.
2. Push the head restraint down until it locks.

WARNING:The adjustable head restraint is a safety device.
Whenever possible it should be installed and properly adjusted
when the seat is occupied.
To remove the center head restraint, do the following:
1. Pull up the head restraint until it reaches the highest adjustment
position.
2. Insert and push a tool, such as a large paper clip, into the pin hole
located on the side of the guide sleeve and press the adjust/release
button, then pull the head restraint upward.
3. Store the head restraint in a secure location, such as the trunk of the
vehicle.
To reinstall the center head restraint, do the following:
1. Insert the two stems into the guide sleeve collars.
2. Push the head restraint down until it locks.
Properly adjust the head restraint so that the top of the head restraint is
even with the top of your head and positioned as close as possible to the
back of your head. For occupants of extremely tall stature, adjust the
head restraint to its full up position.
WARNING:To minimize the risk of neck injury in the event of a
crash, head restraints must be installed properly.
Split-folding rear seatbacks
One or both rear seatbacks can be folded down to provide additional
cargo space.
To lower the seatback(s), pull the
release handle(s) located inside the
trunk.
