Make sure a valid remote control is within5 ft (1.5 m) from the front door handles andrear of vehicle.
The system may not function if:
•The remote control remains stationaryfor about a minute.
•The vehicle battery has no charge.
•The remote control battery has nocharge.
•There is interference causing issues withthe remote control frequencies.
•The remote control is too close to metalobjects or electronic devices, for examplekeys or a cell phone.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Use your remote control to access variousvehicle systems.
Note:The buttons on your remote may varydepending on the vehicle region or options.
Unlock
Press the button to unlock alldoors. See Unlocking andLocking the Doors Using theRemote Control (page 90).
Lock
Press the button to lock all doors.See Unlocking and Locking theDoors Using the Remote Control(page 90).
Remote Start (If Equipped)
Press the button to remote start.See Remotely Starting andStopping the Vehicle (page 153).
Liftgate (If Equipped)
Press the button to open or closethe liftgate. See Opening theLiftgate (page 102).
Panic Alarm (If Equipped)
Press the button to sound thepanic alarm. See Sounding thePanic Alarm (page 77).

3.Press and hold the HomeLink functionbutton you want to program for twoseconds, then release. You may need todo this twice to activate the door.
Note:If the indicator light stays on, theprogramming is complete.
Note:If the HomeLink indicator flashesrapidly, repeat Step 3.
Note:If your device still does not operate,you must program your garage door. SeeProgramming the Garage Door Opener toYour Garage Door Opener Motor (page 178).
4.To program additional buttons, repeatSteps 1 – 4.
CLEARING THE GARAGE DOOR
OPENER
1.Press and hold the outer two functionbuttons simultaneously for approximately10 seconds until the indicator light abovethe buttons flashes rapidly.
2.When the indicator light flashes, releasethe buttons.
Note:You cannot erase individual buttons.
REPROGRAMMING THE GARAGE
DOOR OPENER
To program a device to a previously trainedbutton, follow these steps:
1.Press and hold the desired button. DoNOT release the button.
2.The indicator light begins to flash after20 seconds. Without releasing thebutton, follow programming steps.

Your vehicle has also been equipped with aTPMS malfunction indicator to indicate whenthe system is not operating properly. TheTPMS malfunction indicator is combined withthe low tire pressure telltale. When thesystem detects a malfunction, the telltale willflash for approximately one minute and thenremain continuously illuminated. Thissequence will continue upon subsequentvehicle start-ups as long as the malfunctionexists.
When the malfunction indicator is illuminated,the system may not be able to detect orsignal low tire pressure as intended. TPMSmalfunctions may occur for a variety ofreasons, including the installation ofreplacement or alternate tires or wheels onthe vehicle that prevent the TPMS fromfunctioning properly. Always check the TPMSmalfunction telltale after replacing one ormore tires or wheels on your vehicle toensure that the replacement or alternate tiresand wheels allow the TPMS to continue tofunction properly.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
SYSTEM PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: The tire pressuremonitoring system is not a substitute formanually checking tire pressures. Youshould periodically check tire pressuresusing a pressure gauge. Failure to correctlymaintain tire pressures could increase therisk of tire failure, loss of control, vehiclerollover and personal injury.
Note:The use of tire sealants can damagethe tire pressure monitoring system.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
SYSTEM LIMITATIONS
When the outside temperature dropssignificantly, the tire pressure could decreaseand activate the low tire pressure warninglamp.
The warning lamp could also illuminate whenyou use a spare wheel, or tire sealant fromthe inflator kit.
