6.When the pump shuts off, wait fiveseconds, then raise the fuel pump nozzleand slowly remove it.
7.Fully close the fuel filler door.
Note: Do not attempt to start the engine ifyou have filled the fuel tank with incorrectfuel. Incorrect fuel use could cause damagenot covered by the vehicle Warranty. Haveyour vehicle immediately checked.
MANUALLY OPENING THE FUELFILLER DOOR
Your vehicle does not have a fuel tank fillercap.
Left-hand side. To open the fuelfiller door, press the center rearedge of the fuel filler door andthen release.

Right-hand side. To open the fuelfiller door, press the center rearedge of the fuel filler door andthen release.

Left-hand side. Pull the rear of thefuel filler door to open it.C

FUEL TANK CAPACITY
Advertised Capacity
The advertised capacity is the maximumamount of fuel that you can add to the fueltank after running out of fuel. Included in theadvertised capacity is an empty reserve. Theempty reserve is an unspecified amount offuel that remains in the fuel tank when thefuel gauge indicates empty.
Note:The amount of fuel in the emptyreserve varies and should not be relied uponto increase driving range.

Service your vehicle regularly to helpmaintain its roadworthiness and resale value.There is a large network of authorizeddealers that are there to help you with theirprofessional servicing expertise. We believethat their specially trained technicians arebest qualified to service your vehicle properlyand expertly. They are supported by a widerange of highly specialized tools developedspecifically for servicing your vehicle.
If your vehicle requires professional service,an authorized dealer can provide thenecessary parts and service. Check yourwarranty information to find out which partsand services are covered.
Use only recommended fuels, lubricants,fluids and service parts conforming tospecifications. See Capacities andSpecifications (page 408).
•Do not work on a hot engine.
•Make sure that nothing gets caught inmoving parts.
•Do not work on a vehicle with the enginerunning in an enclosed space, unless youare sure you have enough ventilation.
•Keep all open flames and other burningmaterial, such as cigarettes, away fromthe battery and all fuel related parts.
•Set the parking brake, shift thetransmission to park (P) and block thewheels.
OPENING AND CLOSING THE
HOOD
Opening the Hood
1.Inside the vehicle, pull the hood releasehandle located under the left-hand sideof the instrument panel.
2.Slightly lift the hood.
3.Release the hood latch by pushing thesecondary release lever to your left-handside.
