NOTElIf the ignition switch is turned off during a
hands-free call, the line is transferred to the
mobile telephone automatically.
lIf the mobile telephone is in a location
where radio reception is difficult such as a
metal container or in the trunk, the call may
not be connected using Bluetooth. If
communication is not possible, change the
location of the mobile telephone.

Free messages, and operation status are
displayed.

The microphone is used for inputting
voice commands or exchanging
conversation.

Use the loops in the luggage compartment
to secure cargo with a rope or net. The
tensile strength of the loops is 196 N (20
kgf, 44 lbf). Do not apply excessive force
to the loops as it will damage them.

A golf bag can be carried in the luggage
compartment.
To place a golf bag in the luggage
compartment, use the following
procedure:
1. Remove the cover for the side storage
space.
2. Insert the top of the golf bag into theside storage space.
Side storage space
NOTElSome golf bags cannot fit depending on
their size.
lGolf bags up to nine inches in diameter can
be carried.

2. Open and fold back the trunk boardover the third-row seatback.

4. Turn the tire hold-down bolt
counterclockwise with the lug wrench.
To secure the spare tire
Perform the removal procedure in reverse.

CAUTION
Follow these instructions when
towing the vehicle with all wheels on
the ground.
1. Shift to neutral (MT), or the Nposition (AT).
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position to prevent the steering
from locking up.
3. Release the parking brake.
Remember that power assist for the
brakes and steering will not be
available when the engine is not
running.
Tiedown Hooks
CAUTION
Don't use the tiedown hooks under
the front and rear for towing.
They are designed ONLY for tying
down the vehicle when it's being
transported. Using them for towing
will damage the bumper.
q Tiedown Hook-Front
1. Remove the tiedown eyelet, lug
wrench, and jack lever from the trunk
(page 7-3).
2. Wrap the jack lever with a soft cloth to prevent damage to the bumper and
open the cap located on the front
bumper.
CAUTION
The cap cannot be completely
removed. Do not use excessive force
as it may damage the cap or scratch
the painted bumper surface.
