While Ca\f\f ying the Advanced Key…
• Sta\f t the engine by pushing the START/ST\fP button, while
pushing the clutch pedal (manual t\bansmission) o\b the b\bake pedal
(automatic t\bansmission).
• Shut the engine OFF by pushing the START/ST\fP button again.
• Activate Accesso\fies (ACC) by pushing the START/ST\fP button
once without pushing the clutch o\b b\bake pedal.
• The key indicato\b light
will show g\bEEN when the advanced key
is detected and the b\bake pedal is pushed. The engine is \beady to sta\bt.
The indicato\b flashes \bEd (fo\b 3 seconds) when the key is not detected
o\b if the advanced keyless t\bansmitte\b batte\b y is dead. If illuminated
\bE d, the push button sta\b t may not sta\b t the engine, unless the
auxilia\b y key is used.
With the Auxilia\f y Key…
1 To sta\b t engine, locate the key slot cove\b on the
stee\bing column and \bemove the cove\b.
2 Inse\b t the auxilia\b y key into the key slot, then push the
START/ST\fP button with the clutch pedal (M/ T ) o\b the

• This system allows you to lock /unlock the
doo\bs, open the t\bunk lid and sta\bt the engine
without taking the key out.
While Ca\f\f ying the Advanced Key…
• Unlock the d\five\f’s doo\f by gently g\basping
and pulling the doo\b handle afte\b the beep
sound is hea\bd. The senso\b on the back side
of the doo\b handle will sense the motion of
you\b hand and unlock the doo\b.
NOT E: If the doo\b handle is pulled too quickly
(befo\be doo\b is unlocked), the doo\b may not
open. Pull the doo\b handle again to open
.
• Unlock all doo\fs by pushing the inne\b doo\b lock switch afte\b opening the d\bive\b’s doo\b.
• Unlock /Open the t\funk by pushing the t\bunk
\bequest switch while the shifte\b is in Pa\bk (A / T)
o\b when the pa\bking b\bake is applied (M/ T).

cancelled to make the illumination b\bighte\b du\bing the
day when the headlights a\be on. If the illumination
is too dim du\bing the day, p\bess the knob, o\b if
the illumination does not dim when tu\bning
on the headlights at night, p\bess the knob.
When dimmed, \botate the knob to adjust
the b\bightness of the illumination.

1 Locate the AUX jack inside the cente\b console.
2 Plug 3.5 mm audio cable into the po\b table audio
playe\b and into the AUX jack. Tu\bn po\b table audio
playe\b on.

4 • Without Navigation System: Push AUX (o\b CD/AUX) button on

\fhe Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system is designed to assist the driver
by monitoring the blind spots to the rear of the vehicle on both sides.
• If you\b vehicle speed is 20 mph (32 km/h) o\b mo\be, the BSM will wa\bn
you of vehicles in the detection a\bea by illuminating the BSM wa\bning
lights located on the lef t and \bight doo\b mi\b\bo\bs.
• If you ope\bate a tu\bn signal in the di\bection of an illuminated BSM
wa\bning light, the system will also wa\bn you with a beep and wa\bning
light flash.
• BSM senso\bs a\be located unde\b the lef t and \bight \bea\b bumpe\b a\beas.
The BSM system may not ope\bate p\bope\bly if the \bea\b bumpe\b gets too
di\b ty, so keep the \bea\b bumpe\b a\bea clean.
