Problems with the seat heating
Problem
Possible causes/consequences and

0050Solutions The seat heating has
switched off prema-
turely or cannot be
switched on. The on-board voltage is too low because too many electrical con-
sumers are switched on.
X Switch off electrical consumers that you do not need, such as
the rear window defroster or interior lighting. Switching the seat ventilation on/off
Activating/deactivating The three blue indicator lamps in the buttons
indicate the ventilation level you have selec-
ted.
i If the battery voltage is too low, the seat
ventilation may switch off. X
Make sure that the SmartKey is in position
2 in the ignition lock (Y page 133).
X To switch on: press button0043repeatedly
until the desired ventilation level is set.
i You can open the front side windows and
the sliding sunroof using the "Convenience opening" feature (Y page 86). The seat ven-
tilation of the driver's seat automatically
switches to the highest level.
X To switch off: press button0043repeatedly
until all the indicator lamps go out. Seats

If you press and hold
0063or0064, the rapid
scrolling speed is increased. Not all audio
drives or data carriers support this function.
If track information is stored on the audio
device or medium, the multifunction display
will show the number and name of the track. The current track does not appear in audio
AUX mode (Auxiliary audio mode: external
audio source connected).

or 0064 button until desired scene has

WARNING
If you operate information systems and com-
munication equipment integrated in the vehi- cle while driving, you will be distracted from
traffic conditions. You could also lose control of the vehicle. There is a risk of an accident.
Only operate the equipment when the traffic
situation permits. If you are not sure that this
is possible, park the vehicle paying attention to traffic conditions and operate the equip-
ment when the vehicle is stationary.
When telephoning, you must observe the
legal requirements for the country in which
you are currently driving.
X Switch on the mobile phone; see the sepa-
rate operating instructions.
X Switch on the audio system or COMAND;
see the separate operating instructions.
X Establish a Bluetooth ®
connection to the
audio system or COMAND; see the sepa-
rate operating instructions.
X Press the 0059or0065 button on the steer-
ing wheel to select the Tel Telmenu.
You will see one of the following display mes-
sages in the multifunction display:
R Phone READY
Phone READY or the name of the network
provider: the mobile phone has found a
network and is ready to receive.
R Phone No Service Phone No Service: there is no network
available or the mobile phone is searching
for a network.
Accepting a call If someone calls you when you are in the
Tel Tel
menu, a display message appears in the mul-
tifunction display, for example: Example: incoming call
X Press the 0061button on the steering
wheel to accept an incoming call.
You can accept a call even if you are not in the
Tel

Press the 0059or0065 button on the steer-
ing wheel to select the AMG AMGmenu.
Upshift indicator UP UP0087 indicates that the
engine has reached the overrevving range
when in the manual gearshift program.
Upshift indicator UP UP0087 fades out other mes-
sages until you have shifted up.
If the oil temperature is below 176 ‡ (80 †),
oil temperature 0085is shown in blue. Avoid
driving at full engine output during this time.

Drive program (C C/SS+SS+/M M)
0044 ESP ®
mode (ON ON/OFFOFF) or SPORT handling
mode (SPORT SPORT)
SETUP shows the drive program, the ESP ®
(Electronic Stability Program) mode and the
SPORT handling mode. X Press the 0059or0065 button on the steer-
ing wheel to select the AMG AMGmenu.
X Press the 0063button repeatedly until
SETUP is displayed.
RACETIMER Displaying and starting RACETIMER

The RACETIMER is only intended for use on a closed race circuit. Do not use the function on
public roads. You can use the RACETIMER to store lap
times.
X
Press the 0059or0065 button on the steer-
ing wheel to select the AMG
AMG menu.
X Press the 0063button repeatedly until the
RACETIMER is shown.
i If the RACETIMER is selected, the
0059
and 0065 buttons cannot be used to call up
the menu bar.
You can start the RACETIMER when the
engine is running or if the SmartKey is in posi-
tion 2in the ignition lock.
X To start: press the 0076button to start the
RACETIMER.
Displaying the intermediate time X
Press the 0059or0065 button to select
Interm. Time Interm. Time.
X Press 0076to confirm.
The intermediate time is displayed for five
seconds.

X Press 0076to confirm New Lap New Lap.
i It is possible to store a maximum of six-
teen laps. The 16th lap can only be com-
