The interior lighting automatically switches on if

your bare hands. If necessary, clean th eglass
tub ew hen cold wit halcohol or spirit and rub it
off wit halint-free cloth .
Protect bulbs from moisture during operation .
Do no tallow bulbs to come int ocontac twith
liquids. Only replace th

You must remove the cover of the frontwheel
housingb eforeyou can change the frontt urn
signal lamp.
XTo remove: switchoff the lights.
XTurn the frontw heels inwards.
XTurn rotary knob :180°o utwards until it
stops using asuitable object.

XOpen the hood.
XTurn housingc over:counter-clockwise and
remove it.
XTurn bulb holder ;counter-clockwise and
pull out.
XPull the bulb out of bulb holder ;.
XInsert the new bulb intobulb holder ;.
XInsert bulb holder ;and turn it clockwise.
XPress on housingc over:and turn it to the
right.
High-beam headlamps
XSwitch off the lights.
XOpen the hood.
XTurn housingc over:counter-clockwise and
remove it.
XTurn bulb holder ;counter-clockwise and
pull out.
XPull the bulb out of bulb holder ;.
XInsert the new bulb intobulb holder ;.
XInsert bulb holder ;and turn it clockwise.
XPress on housingc over:and turn it clock-
wise.

XRemove the cover in the frontw heel housing
(Ypage 114).
XTurn housingc over:counter-clockwise and
remove it.

unloc kitand pull out.

The antifreeze concentrate/corrosion inhibitor
concentration in the engine cooling system
should:
Rbe at least 50%. This will protectthe engine
cooling system against freezin gdown to
approximately -35 ‡(-37 †).
Rnot exceed 55% (antifreez eprotection down
to -49 ‡[-45 †]) .Otherwise, hea twilln ot be
dissipated as effectively.
Mercedes-Benz recommends an antifreeze/
corrosion inhibito rconcentrate in accordance
with MB Specifications for Service Products
310.1.
iWhe nthe vehicl eisfirst delivered, it is filled
with acoolant mixture thate nsures adequate
antifreeze and anti-corrosion protection.
iThe coolant is checked with every mainte-
nance intervalataq ualified specialist work-
shop.

Windshield washe rsystem
Important safety notes
GWARNING
Windshiel dwasher concentrate coul dignite if
it comes into contact with hot engine compo-
nents or the exhaust system. There is arisk of
fire and injury.
Make sure that no windshield washer con-
centrate is spilled next to the filler neck.
!Only use washer flui dthat is suitabl efor
plastic lam plenses, e.g. MB SummerFi torMB
WinterFit. Unsuitabl ewasher flui dcoul ddam-
age the plastic lense softhe headlamps.
!Only MB SummerFi tand MB WinterFit
washer flui dshould be mixed together. The
sprayn ozzles may otherwise become
blocked. Do not use distille
dorde-ionized water, other-
wise, the leve lsensor may give afals ereading.
When handling washer fluid, observe the impor-
tant safety notes on service products
(
Ypag e344).
At temperatures above freezing:
XFill the washer flui dreservoir with amixture of
water and windshield washer fluid, e.g. MB
SummerFit.
Add 1part MB SummerFi tto100 parts water.
At temperatures below freezing:
XFill the washer flui dreservoir with amixture of
water and washer fluid, e.g. MB WinterFit.
For the correct mixing ratio refer to the infor-
mation on the antifreeze reservoir.
iAdd windshield washer fluid, e.g. MB Sum-
merFit or MB WinterFit, to the washer flui dall
yea rround.
Climate control systemr efrigerant
Important safety notes
The climate control syste mofyourvehicleisf il-
led with refrigerant R ‑134a.
The instructio nlabel regarding the refrigerant
type use dcan be found on the radiator cross
member.
!Only the refrigerant R ‑134a and the PAG oil
approved by Mercedes-Benz may be used.
The approved PAG oil may not be mixed with
any other PAG oil that is not approved for
R-134a refrigerant. Otherwise, the climate
control syste mmay be damaged.
Service work, such as refilling with refrigerant or
replacing component parts, may only be carried
out by aqualified specialist workshop. All appli-
cabl eregulations, as wel lasSAE standard J639,
must be adhered to.
