Set the front passenger seat as far back as

Fully retract the seat cushion length adjust-

Adjust the seat cushion inclination so that the
front ed geofthe seat cushion is in the highest
position and there ar edge of the seat cushion
is in the lo west position. #
Set the seat backrest tothe most vertical
position possible. #
Install thech ild restraint system.
The entire base of thech ild restraint system
must al ways rest on the sitting sur face of the
front passenger seat. #
Always make sure that the shoulder belt strap
is cor rectly routed from the seat belt outlet of
th eve hicle tothe shoulder belt guide on the
ch ild restraint system.
The shoulder belt strap must be routed for-
wa rds and down wards from the seat belt out-
let. #

Wa ter which has entered into theve hicle can
damage the engine, electrics and transmission.
Wa ter can also enter the air intake of the engine
and cause engine damage.
Obser vethefo llowing if you must drive thro ugh
wa ter:
R The water,when calm, may only reach the
lo we r edge of theve hicle body.
R Drive at a maximum speed of 10 km/h; water
can otherwise enter theve hicle interior or
engine compartment.
R Vehicles tr avelling in front, or oncoming vehi-
cles, can create waves which may exceed the
maximum permissible dep thofthewa ter.
The braking e.ect of the brakes is reduced aTer
fo rd ing. Brake carefully while paying attention toth
e tra1c conditions until braking po wer has been

stop function is deactivated or there is a mal-
function.

to ne sounds and the engine is not restar ted. In

also used. This means that the maximum
re cuperative energy cannot be reco vered. The
more you drive and brake in an anticipatory
manner, the more e1cient lyenergy can be
re cuperated.
