de te cted accident situation, Emergency Te nsion‐
ing Device sa nd/or ai rb ag ss upplem ent th ep ro ‐

SA FE ®
Impulse Side can pre-emptively mo ve th e
front-seat ve hicle occupant's upper body
to wa rd st he center of th ev ehicle. It does th is by
ra pidl yi nflating an air cushion in th eo uter seat
side bols te roft he seat backres tont he side on
whic ht he impact is anticipated. This increases
th ed is ta nce betwee nt he door and th ev ehicle
occupant.
