The SOS button in theove rhead control panel
0ashes until the emer gency call is /nished. It is not possible
toimmediately end an automatic
emer gency call.
If th e Mercedes‑Benz emer gency call system can-
not connect tothe Mercedes‑Benz emer gency
call centre, the emer gency call is automatically
sent tothe public emer gency services call centre.
If no connection can be made tothe public emer-
ge ncy services, a cor responding message
appears in the displa y. #
Dial the emer gency number 112 112onyour
mobile phone.
If an emer gency call has been initia ted:
R Remain in theve hicle if thero ad and tra1c
conditions permit youto do so until a voice
connection is established with the emer gency
call centre ope rator.
R Based on the call, the operator decides
whe ther it is necessary tocall rescue teams
and/or the police tothe accident site.
R If no vehicle occupant answers, an ambulance

Smart Card The CI+ module is designed
for use in the
home. The CI+ module can overheat and be
damaged bycontinuous exposure tohigh out-
side temp eratures. #
Make sure that the CI+ module is not
subject tohigh temp eratures forex ten-
ded periods of time.
If th e CI+ module is damaged, no
encryp tedch annels can be received. %
The CI+ module is not available in all coun-
tries.
A CI+ module (Common Inter face Module), which
is not included in the scope of deliver y,is used to
decrypt HD prog rammes according tothe CI+
standard.
In some countries, an additional smart card is
re qu ired, which is inser ted into the CI+ module
(see the manufacturer's operating manual). The CI+ module is connected in
the CI+ box in the
glo vecompartment. #
