The damping is set individually for each wheel and

CONTROL is an air suspension system
with variable damping for impr oved driving com-
fo rt. The all-round le vel control system ensures
th e best possible suspension and constant ground
clearance, even with a laden vehicle. When driving
at speed, theve hicle is lo wered automatically to
impr ovedriving saf ety and toreduce fuel con-
sum ption. You also ha vethe option of manually
adjusting theve hicle le vel. AIR BODY
CONTROL includes thefo llowing com-
ponents and functions:
R Air suspension with variable spring rate
R Automatic le vel control system
R Speed-dependent lo wering toreduce fuel con-
sum ption
R Manually selectable high-le vel setting for
gr eater ground clearance
R ADS PLUS (Adaptive Damping System with
constant damping forc e adjustment)
R DYNAMIC SELECT switch and le vel button

ance between the underbody and the
guide rails of the car wash. #
Ensure that the clearance width of the
car wash, in particular the width of the
guide rails, is su1cient. To
avo id damage toyour vehicle when using a car
wa sh, ensu rethefo llowing beforehand:

R For car washes with a con veyor system: -

high-pressure cleaners with round-spr ay
nozzles
The water jet can cause extern ally invisible
damage.
Components damaged in this wa y may un ex-
pectedly fail. #
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner with
round-spr aynozzles. #
Have damaged tyres or chassis parts
re placed immediatel y. To
avo id damage toyour vehicle, obser vethefo l-
lowing when using a high-pressure cleaner:
R The key is at a minimum dis tance of 3 m away
from theve hicle. Otherwise the boot lid could
open unintentionall y.
R Maintain a distance of at least 30 cm tothe
ve hicle.

Maintain a distance of at least 70 cm between
th efo il-co vered parts of theve hicle and the
nozzle of the high-pressure cleaner. Mo vethe
high-pressure cleaner nozzle around whilst
cleaning. The waterte mp erature of the high-
pressure cleaner must not exceed 60°C.
R Obser vethe information on the cor rect dis-
ta nce in the equipment manufacturer's opera-
to r manual.
R Do not direct the nozzle of the high-pressure
cleaner directly at sensitive parts such as
tyres, gaps, electrical component parts, bat-
te ries, illuminants and louvres. Maintenance and care
