The rear ben chseat, rear seat and seat back‐
re st may fold forw ards, even while theve hi‐
cle is in motion.
R As a result, theve hicle occupant will be
pressed into the seat belt with increased
fo rc e. The seat belt will not be able to
pr otect as intended and could cause
additional injur y.
R Objects or loads in the boot or load com‐
partment cann otbe restra ined bythe
seat backrest. #
Make sure that there ar ben chseat, the
re ar seat and the seat backrest are
engaged before everytrip. If
th e seat backrest is not engaged and loc ked,
th is will be shown on the multifunction display
on the instrument clus ter.
Re quirements:
R The rear seat backrest head restra ints are
fully inse rted.
Yo u can fold the cent reand outer seat backrests
fo rw ards separatel y.
The right seat backrest can be folded forw ards
on lytoge ther with the cent reseat backrest.
The outer seat backrests are unloc ked elect ri‐

Lock the cent reseat backrest release cat chif

to get her with the left seat backrest. #

Tolock: slide cat ch1 upwards.

justing the angle of the rear seat backr‐
ests (cargo position)
To enlar gethe load compartment, you can adjust
th e seat backrests so that they are ten degrees
st eeper (cargo position). #
Foldthe seat backrest forw ards
(/ page 118). #
Movebrac ket1 inthe direction of the
ar row. #

net.
When the load compartment co ver is clipped in,
no objects in the load compartment should
obstruct the lo wering mo vement of the co ver
when theta ilgate is closed. The load compart‐
ment co ver will otherwise be raised again auto‐

The load compartment co verra ises automat‐
ically when theta ilgate is opened and lo wers

Remo veload compartment co ver1 from
th e brac kets on the left and right. #
Guide load compartment co ver1 forw ards
by handle 2until it is fully retracted. The handle
strip of there tracted load compa rt‐
ment co ver1 can be used in thefo llowing posi‐
tions: 1
Folded up by45° (loading position)
2 Horizontal position (driving position)
3 Folded down and loc ked in place (rattle-free
position when driving)
Installing/removing the combined luggage

Requ irements:
R The load compartment co ver and partition
net are retracted. Re

Re mo vethe combined luggage co ver and net
from the load compartment, or from the left-
hand rear door if the seat backrests are folded
fo rw ards. #

re mo veit from right-hand brac ket4.
In stalling #
Slide the combined luggage co ver and net
into right-hand brac ket4 asfar as it will go. #
Place the combined luggage co ver and net
into the left-hand brac ket and slide it into
catch 1until the combined luggage co ver
and net engages audibl y.

will go in the direction of the ar row.
To disassemble the combined luggage co ver and
net, follow the instructions in reve rse order. At

The partitioning net alone cann otsecure or
re stra in heavy objects, items of luggage or
heavy loads.

Secure objects, luggage or loads

using the partitioning net. Fo
r saf etyre asons, alw ays use a partitioning net
when transporting a load.
Damaged partitioning nets can no longer fulfil
th eir pr otective functions and must be replaced.

hooks with heavy objects
The bag hooks cannot restra in heavy objects
or items of luggage.
Objects or items of luggage may be flung
around and hit vehicle occupants. #
Only hang light objects on the bag
hooks. #
Never hang hard, sharp-edged or fragile
objects on the bag hooks. Obser

Subject the bag hooks toa maximum load of
3 kg and do not attach any goods tothem. 1

If objects in theve hicle interior are stowed
incor rectly, they can slide or be thrown around and hit
vehicle occupants. In addi‐
tion, cup holders, open stowage spaces and
mobile phone brac kets cann otalw aysre tain
all objects they contain.

ev ent of braking manoeuvres or abrupt
ch anges in direction. #
Alw aysstow objects so that they can‐
not be throw n around in su chsitua‐
tions. #
Alw ays make sure that objects do not
pr otru de from stowage spaces, luggage
nets or stowage nets. #
Close the loc kable stow age spaces
before starting a journe y. #
Stow and secure objects that are heavy,
hard, poin ted, sharp-edged, fragile or

The EA SY-PAC K load-securing kit allows youto
use your load co mpartment for a variet y of pur‐
poses. The co mponents are located in thestow‐

Installing or removing the lug gage holder
Re quirements:
R Select a load size that can be secured bythe
luggage holder.
The luggage holder is used tosecure loads
against the side wall of the load compartment to
pr ev ent them from moving around.
Yo u can subject the load holder toa maximum
load of 7 kg. #
Insert two brac kets 5 into the load rail
(/ page 126). #
