% The driver camera records image data for
applications such as ATTENTION ASSIST and
fa cial recognition, forex ample.
The camera con verts th e image data directly
into me tadata. No image data is sa ved in the
process. The data is only processed in the
ve hicle and is not transmitted from theve hi-
cle.
The driver camera is automatically activated
each time theve hicle is opened with thekey.
The driver camera must be set up forfa ce de tec-
tion before use. Teaching-in biometric data
(/ page 317).

Install these updates, or else the security of your
multimedia system cannot be ensured. The multimedia system displa
ysa cor responding
message when a soTware update is available.
If th eAutomatic online update option is active,
soTware updates are downloaded automaticall y.If
th e option is deactivated, you will be informed of
new soTware updates once. The soTware updates
are available for downloading for a limited period
of time.

This function is an on-demand feature and
can be subsequently activated aTer vehicle
pur chase via Mercedes me. The Digital Own-
er's Manual contains fu rther information on
Mercedes me and on-demand features.
Wi th AMG TRA CKPACE, the driving characteris-
tics on race trac kscan be anal ysed and opti-
mised. You can drive pr eviously stored race trac ks
(e.g. Hoc kenheimring), or new trac kscan be

All processing of pe rsonal data via the Mercedes-
Benz emer gency call system cor responds with the
speci/cations in the EU Regulation 2016/679 "on
th e pr otection of natural entities with rega rd to
th e processing of personal data (GDPR)".
The data is solely used bythe Mercedes-Benz
emer gency call system forre scue and reco very in
th eev ent of an accident.
The owner of a vehicle, that is equipped with a
Mercedes-Benz emer gency call system in addition
to the 112 emer gency call system (EU eCall), has 358
