is illuminated with an extern al light source.

ces on the perfume pac kaging.
Dispose of thege nuine Mercedes-Benz interior
perfume 0acon when it is em pty and do not re/ll

windscreen when the windscreen heater
is switched on
The windscreen can become very hot when
th e windscreen heater is switched on. The health of persons with limited
temp erature
sensitivity or a limited ability toreact tohigh
te mp eratures may be a.ected or they may
eve n su.er burn-like injuries. #
Do not touch the windscreen while the
windscreen heater is switched on. #
Allow the windscreen tocool down
before touching it. The windscreen heater will be enabled automati-
cally if
¬is activated on the climate bar on the
cent ral displa y.
ATer theve hicle is star ted, the windscreen heater
will be switched on automatically as requ ired.

The seats can be brie0y pre-warmed or pre-
cooled before youget into theve hicle.
Depending on theve hicle's equipment, thefo llo w-
ing functions will be activated as needed during
pre-cooling:

switching on the seat heating
Re peatedly switching on the seat heating can
cause the seat cushion and seat backrest pad-
ding tobecome very hot.
In particular, the health of persons with limited
te mp erature sensitivity or a limited ability to
re act tohigh temp eratures may be a.ected or
th ey may even su.er burn-like injuries. #
Do not repeatedly switch on the seat
heating. To
protect against overheating, the seat heating
may be temp orarily deactivated aTer it has been
switched on repeatedl y.
The air inside theve hicle can be heated, ventila-
te d or cooled tothe set temp erature when the
ve hicle is par ked.
When theve hicle is connected topowe r supply
equipment, priority is given tocharging the high-
vo ltage battery toa speci/ed minimum charge. The
running time of pre-entry clima tecont rol may
be reduced under thefo llowing conditions:
R The vehicle is not connected topowe r supply
equipment.
R The high-voltage battery is not fully charge d.
Wi th active pre-ent ryclimate cont rol,th ech arge
le ve l of the high-voltage battery may be reduced,
ev en if thech arging cable connector is connec-
te d.
If present, seat ventilation is activated in cooling
and ventilation mode.
If present, thefo llowing functions are activated in
heating mode:
R Seat heating
R Steering wheel heater
R Mirror heater
R Rear wind owheater
R Windsc reen heater
When the set temp erature is changed, the climate
control mode will automatically be updated. It will
be switched from heating mode toventilation or
cooling mode, from cooling mode toventilation or heating mode or from
ventilation mode toheating
or cooling mode.
Depending on theve hicle's equipment, thefo llo w-
ing functions will also be adjusted during pre-
entry climate control if they have already been
switched on during regular vehicle operation:

If a vehicle is de tected at speeds abo veappr ox-
imately 12 km/h and this vehicle enters thewa rn-
ing range immedia tely aTer wards, thewa rning
lamp in the cor responding outside mir ror lights up
re d. In theAssistance menu,the lamp in outside
mir ror1 also lights up red, and the lane in which
th eve hicle is de tected is hatched out.
If a vehicle is de tected in thewa rning range and
yo u switch on the turn signal indicator in the cor-
re sponding direction, a double warning tone
sounds once, and thewa rning lamp 0ashes red in
th e cor responding outside mir ror.Re dra dar wav
es2 are displa yed next toyour vehicle in the
assis tance graphic.
If th e turn signal indicator remains on, the display
in the outside mirror 0ashes for all other de tected
ve hicles, but no fu rther warning tone sounds. If
yo uove rtake a vehicle quickl y,no warning is
given.

Spot Assist
Blind Spot Assist does not react tovehicles
approaching and overtaking you at a greatly
di.erent speed.
Blind Spot Assist cannot warndrivers in this
situation. #
Always pay careful attention tothe tra1c
situation and maintain a safe distance at

The exitwa rning is an additional function of Blind
Spot Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist and can
wa rnvehicle occupants attem pting tolea vea sta-
tionary vehicle about approaching vehicles. &

The exitwa rning neither reacts tostationa ry
objects nor topersons or road users
approaching you at a greatly di.ering speed.
The exitwa rning cannot warndrivers in these
situations. #
Always pay particular attention tothe
tra1c situation when opening the doors
and make sure there is su1cient clear-
ance. If a
vehicle is de tected in the monitoring range,
th ere dwa rning lamp lights up in the cor respond-
ing outside mir ror.
If a vehicle occupant pulls the door handle on the
side of thewa rning, a warning tone sounds twice
and the ambient lighting in there spective door 256
