Aft eropening thesliding sunroof, theroller
sunblind closesslightly automatically. This
reduces draftsinthe vehicle interior.
If the sliding sunroof israised atthe rear, it
lowers slightly automatically athigher speeds.
The noise levelinthe vehicle interioris
reduced asaresult.
At low speeds itraises againautomatically.
You canalso temporarily deactivateautomatic
lowering. Todo so, press the0057 switch. The
sliding sunroof raisesagainautomatically.
You cancont inue tooperate thesliding sun-
roof after switching offthe engine orremoving
the Smart Keyfrom theignition lock.Thisfunc-
tion remains activeforfive minutes oruntil
you open afront door.
The sliding sunroof cannotbe opened ifaroof
carrier isinstalled. Inorder toallow ventilation
of the vehicle interior,you can raise thesliding
sunroof.
If cont actismade witharoof carrier approved
by Mercedes- Benz,the sliding sunroof lowers
slightly butremains raisedatthe rear.
Rain-closing feature The
rain-c losing feature isonly availabl efor
vehicles witharain sensor.
When theSmart Keyisin position 005Ainthe
ignition lockorisremoved, thesliding sunroof
closes automatically:
R ifit start sto rain.
R at extr eme outside temperat ures.
R after sixhours.
R ifthere isamalfunct ioninthe power supply.
The panorama roofwith power tilt/sliding
panel remains raisedatthe rear inorder to
allow ventilation ofthe vehicle interior.
If the panorama roofwith power tilt/sliding
panel isobstruct edwhile being closed bythe
rain-c losing feature, itopens againslightly.
The rain-c losing feature isthen deactivated. The
panorama roofwith power tilt/sliding
panel doesnotclose if:
R itis raised atthe rear.
R itis blocked.
R no rain isfalling onthe area ofthe wind-
shield beingmonitoredbythe rain sensor. If
the vehicle, forexample, isunder abridge or
in acarport ,the field ofthe sensor maybe
