When you adjust a seat, you may trap your‐
self or a vehicle occupant. #
When adjusting a seat, make sure that
no one has any body parts in the sweep
of the seat. &
WARNING Risk of accident if the seat
and seat backrest are not engaged
The seat and seat backrest can fold for‐
wa rds.
There is a risk of thefo llowing, in particular:
R The vehicle occupant may be pressed
against the seat belt. The seat belt can‐
not pr otect as intended and could cause
additional injur y. R
Ach ild restra int sy stem is no longer prop‐
er ly suppor ted or positioned and can no
longer fulfil its function as intended.
R The seat backrest cann otrestra in objects
or goods in the load compartment.
Alw ays ensure that the seat and seat back‐
re st are engaged, in particular:
R Before persons tra vel in theve hicle while
sitting on a seat with the easy entry and
ex itfeature
R Afteryo u ha veadjus tedth e seat
R Afterth e easy entry andexitfeature has
been used
R Afterth e load compartment enlar gement
has been folded forw ards Alw
ays ensure that all vehicle occupants ha ve
th eir seat belts fastened cor rectly and are sitting
prope rly. Pa rticular attention must be paid to
ch ildren.
If yo u no lon gerrequ irethefo lded-d ownre ar
seat backrest as a load area, fold the backrest
back into place. Make sure
that there d marking of the lock verifi‐
cation indicator is no longer visible. Otherwise,
th e seat backrest will not be loc ked.
Depending on theve hicle equipment, a message
will be displa yed on the instrument clus ter
ins tead of there d lock verification indicator.

Depending on theve hicle equipment, you can
fo ld the outer seat backrests forw ards mechani‐

Tofold the left or right seat backrest for‐
wa rds: briefly press one of buttons 1.
The head restra int in there ar will mo veinto a
suitable position. The rear seat will fold for‐
wa rds. The centre seat backrest will fold for‐
wa rdsto ge ther with the left seat backrest. Obser
vethefo llowing recommendations:
R Ifyo u wish tofold only one of the outer seat
backrests forw ards, it is recommended that
yo ufo ld theright seat backrest forw ards.
R Ifyo u wish tofold one of the outer seat
backrests forw ards toge ther with the cent re
seat backrest, it is recommended that you
fo ld the left and cent reseat backrests for‐
wa rds.

Press button 1onthe left or right. #
Remo vethe partitioning net cassette bylift‐
ing it upwards.
Installing #
With tab1 facing ba ckwa rds, push the par‐
titioning net cassette into brac kets 2.
The pa rtitioning net cassette will engage. #
Ensure that red lock verification indicators
3 onthe left and right are no longer visible.
Otherwise, the partitioning net cassette will

Inse rtthe new wiper blade into the wiper
arm in the direction of ar row1. #
Slide catch 2inthe direction of ar row 3
until it engages in the locking position. #
Make sure that the wiper blade is seated cor‐
re ctly. #
Foldthe wiper arms back onto the wind‐
screen. #
Switch on the ignition. #
Press the00D4 button on the combination
switch.
The wiper arms will return tothe original
position. #
Switch the ignition off. Maintenance display #
Remo veprotective film 1 from the mainte‐
nance display on the tip of the newly fitted
wiper blades.
When the colour of the maintenance display
ch anges from black to yellow, the wiper blades
