Pulling out front axle shaft flange
1. Press out front shaft flange (9) with extracto r components and a suitable punch (010x) along with a
stationary hydraulic press.
The diameter of the punch (010x) should be approxim ately 2 mm less than the diameter of the front
shaft flange (refer to section).

Pulling in front axle shaft flange
2. Use installation tool to pull front shaft fla nge (9) into dual tapered ball bearing (9n).
Ensure that the thrust washer (small, Part 03) (08c) is securely seated against the bearing's inside race during
the insertion pr ocess (arrow).

remove the bearin

2. Clamp front axle shaft flange in vise with aluminum jaws.
3. Place thrust piec e (010e) with lar

4. Insert complete puller over i nner bearing race. Clamp tensioning pliers around upper grooves using
conical sleeve of puller.
5. Pull off and remove beari ng inner race from front axle shaft flange using puller.
