Adjust the seat proper lybefore begin-
ning your journe y. #
Always ensu rethat the seat backrest is
in an almost vertical position and that
th e shoulder section of your seat belt is
ro uted across the centre of your shoul-
der. &

handle or pull it abruptl y,thegr ab handle may
be damaged or become loose from its anchor-

Use thegr ab handles only tostabilise

objects under the co-driver seat
Objects trapped under the co-driver seat can
inter fere with the function of the automatic
co-driver airbag shuto. or damage the system. #
Do not store any objects under the co-
driver seat. #
When the co-driver seat is occupied,
make sure that no objects are trapped
under the co-driver seat. *

th e head and neck area, e.g. in theev ent of an
accident or sudden braking. #
Before driving o., make sure forev ery
ve hicle occupant that the centre of the
head restraint supports the back of the
head at about eye le vel. Ad
just the head restraint fore -and-aT position so
th at it is as close as possible tothe back of your
head. &

Yo u could lose control of theve hicle in partic-
ular in thefo llowing situations:
R Ifyo u adjust the driver's seat, the head
re straints, the steering wheel or the mir ror
while theve hicle is in motion.
R Ifyo ufa sten your seat belt while theve hi-
cle is in motion. #
Before starting the engine: adjust the
driver's seat, head restraints, stee ring
wheel and mir ror in particular and fasten
yo ur seat belt. &
