If no vehicle or obs tacle is de tected in the adja-
cent lane and a lane change is permitted, the lane
ch ange begins aTer the driver has indicated
brie0y. The lane change is shown tothe driver
with a 0ashing green ar row next tothe±
steering wheel symbol. Green ar row 1 is dis-
pla yed in the appropriate adjacent lane in the
Assistance menu inthe driver displa y.The Lane
change to the left message,fo rex ample, also
appears.
Ac tive Lane Change Assist can be cancelled in
va rious situations, including thefo llowing:
R Change in the sur rounding conditions (e.g.
de tected obs tacle).
R The driver remo vesth eir hands from the steer-
ing wheel.
R The driver steers with too much forc e or in the
opposite direction.
R The driver mo vesth e turn signal indicator in
th e opposite direction. R
Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC or Active
St eering Assist is deactivated.
R The vehicle cann otmake the lane change as
planned.
Cancellation of Active Lane Change Assist is dis-
pla yed as follo ws:
R The ar row in the selected direction of tr avel
turns red.
R A cor responding message appears on the
driver displa y.
R In cer tain circumstances a warning tone

If th e system limitations for Lane Change
Assist ha vebeen reached, there is no guaran-

Tighten the wheel bolts evenly in a diagonal
pattern in the order indicated 1to5 with
an initial maximum forc e of 80 Nm. #
Tighten the wheel bolts evenly in a diagonal
pattern in the order indicated 1to5 with
th e speci/ed tightening torque of 150 Nm. &

The wheels could come loose if the wheel
bolts or wheel nuts are not tightened tothe
prescribed torque. #
Ensure that the wheel bolts or wheel
nuts are tightened tothe prescribed
tightening torque. #

cle. Con tact a quali/ed specialist work-
shop and ha vethe tightening torque

Check the tyre pressure of the ne wly/tted
wheel and adjust it if necessar y.
