PRE-SAFE ®
can implement thefo llowing meas‐
ures independently of each other:
R Tightening the seat belts on the driver's seat
and front passenger seat.
R Closing the side windo ws.
R Vehicles with sliding sunroof: closethe
sliding sunroof.
R Vehicles with memory function: movethe
front passenger seat toa more favo urable
seat position.
R Vehicles with memory function in the
re ar comp artment: movethe outer rear
seats toa more favo urable seat position.
R Vehicles with multicontour seat: increase
th e air pressure in the seat side bols ters of

PLUS can implement thefo llowing
measures independently of each other:
R Tightening the seat belts on the driver's seat
and front passenger seat.
R Activating there ar hazard warning lights at a
higher flashing frequenc y.
R Increasing brake pressure when theve hicle

in an almost vertical position and that
th e shoulder section of your seat belt is

der. The swit
ches for adju sting the seats do not

back on the switch while pressing the switch.

passenger seat is in one of thefo llowing

passenger seat has been mo ved fully
fo rw ard.
R The front passenger seat is in the position for
ch auf feur mode.

The foot re st is located on the lo wer part of the

R Ifyo u adjust the driver's seat, the head
re stra ints, thesteering wheel or the mir‐
ro r while theve hicle is in motion.
R Ifyo ufast enyour seat belt while theve hi‐
cle is in motion. #
Before starting the engine: adjust the
driver's seat, head restra ints, steering
wheel and mir ror in particular and fas‐

The vehicle calculates a suitable driver's seat
and steering wheel position on the basis of the
driver's body size and sets this directly. #
Toset the unit of measurement: selectcm
or ft/in. #
Set the size using the scale. #
Select Start positioning.
The driver's seat and steering wheel position
is adjus tedto the body size that has been
set.
% Ifth e driver's seat and steering wheel posi‐
tion calculated bytheve hicle is not practical or comfor
table, it can be manually changed
at any time via the control buttons.
The exterior mir rors are not set via this func‐
tion. Ins tead, they have tobe set manually
via the operating switches.
% You can also configure these settings via the
Mercedes me user account foryo ur user
profile. By syn chronising the profiles in the
ve hicle and the Mercedes me connect pro‐
fi les, you can car ryover these settings for
yo ur vehicle. Further information about syn‐
