Press the ªVOL PUSH ONº button to turn the
radio on. Press again to turn off.

How to adjust the volume

Turn the ªVOL PUSH ONº knob to the right to
increase the volume and to the left to decrease
the volume. Dots illuminate in the display to
show relative volume level.

NOTE: If the volume is set above a certain
level when the ignition is turned off,
the volume will come back to a
ªnominalº listening level when the
ignition is turned back on. However, if
the radio power is turned off with the
ªVOL PUSH ONº button, the volume
will not change and will remain at the
level set when the radio is turned back
on.

Selecting the AM or FM frequency band

Press the ªAMº or ªFMº button to select the
desired frequency band or to stop/store cassette
tape (when a cassette is playing). Pressing the
ªFMº button more than once will alternate

There are four ways for you to tune in a
particular station. You can manually locate the
station using the ªTUNEº button, ªSEEKº to the
station, ªSCANº to the station or select the
station by using the memory buttons. These four
methods are described below.

Rewinding the tape

To rewind the tape, press the ªREWº button.
The radio will automatically begin playing
until rewind is manually stopped (by
pressing the ªTAPEº, ªEJº, ªREWº or ªFFº
button) or the beginning of the tape is
reached. The display will show a flashing

to indicate rewind.

While in the tape mode, press the right (

side of the ªSEEKº button to seek forward to
the next selection on the tape (display
indicates ªSEEKº). Press the left (
b) side to
seek the previous tape selection.

playing tape selection, press the left

approximately three seconds into the
current selection.
