DolbyTnoise reduction
Dolbytnoise reduction operates
only in tape mode. Dolbytnoise
reduction reduces the amount of
hiss and static during tape playback.
Press the
control to activate (and deactivate) Dolbytnoise
reduction.

Compression adjust
Compression adjust brings soft and
loud CD passages together for a
more consistent listening level.
Press the COMP control to activate and deactivate compression adjust.
Shuffle feature
The shuffle feature operates in CD
mode and plays all tracks on the
current disc in random order.
If equipped with the CD changer, the shuffle feature continues to the
next disc after all tracks are played.
Press the SHUFFLE control to start this feature. Random order play will
continue until the SHUFFLE control is pressed again.
Setting the clock
To set the hour, press and hold the
hour (H) control. When the desired
hour appears, release the control.
To set the minute, press and hold
the minute (M) control. When the
desired minute appears, release the
control.
Your vehicle is equipped with a special feature that allows you to access
clock mode when the vehicle is not running. Press the H or M control to
engage the clock at this time.

²In CD mode, pressing the control for less than three seconds results in
slow forward action. Pressing the control for more than three seconds
results in fast forward action.
²You can cancel the fast forward mode by pressing TAPE, or the FF
control.

2. Put the gearshift in P (Park), turn off all accessories and start the
engine.
3. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
4. Allow the engine to idle for at least one minute.
5. Turn the A/C on and allow the engine to idle for at least one minute.
6. With your foot on the brake pedal and with the A/C on, put the
vehicle in D (Drive) and allow the engine to idle for at least one minute.
7. Drive the vehicle to complete the relearning process.
²The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to
relearn the idle and fuel trim strategy.
²If you do not allow the engine to relearn its idle trim, the idle
quality of your vehicle may be adversely affected until the idle
trim is eventually relearned.
If the battery has been disconnected or a new battery has been installed,
the clock must be reset once the battery is reconnected.
²Always dispose of automotive
batteries in a responsible manner.

WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES
Check the wiper blades at least twice a year or when they seem less
effective. Substances such as tree sap and some hot wax treatments used
by commercial car washes reduce the effectiveness of wiper blades.
Checking the wiper blades
If the wiper blades do not wipe properly, clean both the windshield and
wiper blades using undiluted windshield wiper solution or a mild
detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. To avoid damaging the
blades, do not use fuel, kerosene, paint thinner or other solvents.
