WA R N I N G Persons who are unable to feel tempera- ture change or skin pain due to age, ill- ness, injury, medication, alcohol use, fatigue or other physical conditions or who have sensitive skin may suffer burnswhen using the heated seat even at low temperatures. To reduce the risk of burns, people with such conditions must use carewhen using the heated seat.CAUTION Switch off the heated seats when not in use.Operate the heaters at the “HI” position for quick heating. After the seat has become warm, set the heater switch to the “LO” posi-tion to keep it warm. Slight variations in the seat temperature may be felt while using the heated seats. This is caused by the operationof the heater’s internal thermostat and does not indicate a malfunction. Do not place heavy objects on the seat or stick pins, needles, or other pointed objects into the seat. Do not place a blanket,
cushion, or other
insulating material on the seat while using the heater; doing so can cause the heater ele- ment to overheat. When cleaning the seat, do not use benzine, kerosene, gasoline, alcohol, or other organicsolvents; doing so can cause damage not only to the surface of the seat, but also to the heater.
 If water or any other li
quid is spilled on the
seat, allow it to dry thoroughly before attempting to use the heater. Turn the heater off immediately if it appears to be malfunctioning during use.NOTE
 Do not use the heated seats for a long time when the engine is not running, doing so will cause the battery to be discharged.

position. Sit back against the seatback withyour head close to the head restraint.

Head restraints
WA R N I N G Driving without the head restraints in place can cause you and your passengers serious injury or death in an accident. To reduce the risk of injury in an accident, always make sure the head restraints areinstalled and properly positioned when the seat is occupied. In order to minimize the risk of a neck injury due to a rear impact, the seatback must be adjusted to the upright positionand the head restraint must be adjusted to the proper position before vehicle opera- tion. The driver should never adjust theseat while the vehicle is in motion. Never place a cushion or similar device on the seatback. This can adversely affect head restraint performance by increasing the distance between your head and therestraint.

The Integrated Blind Spot Mirror (A) is a mirror for showing vehicles and other objects in the driver's blind spot (C) that are not shown in the main mirror (B).When checking the area to the rear of your vehicle, check the main mirror (B), and then check the Integrated Blind Spot Mirror (A).

When the rear window defogger switch ispressed with the engine running, the outsiderearview mirrors are defogged or defrosted.Current will flow through the heater element inside the mirrors, thus clearing away frost or condensation.The indicator light (A) will illuminate while the defogger is on. The heater will be turned off automatically inapproximately 15 to 20 minutes depending on the outside temperature.
D- When a vehicle is traveling far behind
your vehicle, the main mirror (B) shows an image of the vehicle and the Inte-grated Blind Spot Mirror (A) shows a small image of the vehicle.

The engine is off. The key can be inserted and removed only when the switch is in this posi- tion. Allows operation of electrical accessories with the engine off. All accessories can be used.
Engages the starter. Release the key when the engine starts.It will automatically return tothe “ON” position.

Electric rear window defogger switch 5-202 Features and controls

The rear window defogger can be used when the engine is running.The indicator light (A) will come on when you press the electric rear window defogger switch. Electric current will flow through theheating wires on the rear window to help clear away moisture or frost. After approximately 15 to 20 minutes of operation, the system will shut off automati- cally. To switch the defogger OFF before 15 to20 minutes have passed, press the switch again. The indicator light will go out and the defogger will turn off.
If you need the defogger for more than 15 to 20 minutes, press the switch again. This will add 15 to 20 more minutes.
NOTE
 Do not use the wipers when the windshield is dry. This could scratch the glass and wear the wiper blades prematurely.  Before using the wipers in cold weather, check to be sure that the wiper blades are not frozen to the windshield or rear window. Using the wipers while the blades are frozencould cause the wiper motor to burn out.  If the moving wipers become blocked part- way through a sweep by ice or other deposits on the glass, the wipers may temporarily stop operating to prevent the motor from over-heating. In this case, park the vehicle in a safe place, turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position or put the operation mode inOFF, and then remove the ice or other depos- its. Because the wipers will start operating againafter the wiper motor cools down, check that the wipers operate before using them.  Avoid using the washer for more than 20 sec- onds at a time. Do not operate the washer when the washer fluid reservoir is empty orthe pump may fail.  During cold weather, add a recommended washer solution that will not freeze in the washer fluid reservoir. Otherwise the washer may not work or may be damaged.  Replace the wiper blades when they are worn. Use the proper size replacement blades. Electric rear window defog- ger switch
CAUTION The rear window defogger is not designed to melt snow. Remove any snow manually before using the rear window defogger. Use the rear window defogger only after the engine has started and is running. Be sure to turn the defogger switch off immediatelyafter the window is clear to save on battery power. Do not place stickers, tape, or other items that are attached with adhesive over the grid wires on the rear window. When cleaning the inside rear window, use a soft cloth and wipe lightly over the gridwires.NOTE
 The mist can also be removed from the out- side rearview mirrors when the rear windowdefogger switch is pressed. (Refer to “Door mirror heater” on page 5-55.)

: Heating area
The heated steering wheel can be operated when the ignition switch or operation mode is in ON. To turn on the heated steering wheel, push the heated steering wheel switch. The heatedsteering wheel will operate for approximately 30 minutes and then it will automatically turn off.The indicator light (A) will illuminate while the heated steering wheel is operating.
 It is possible to change the setting to make the rear window defogger operate automati- cally when ambient temperature becomes low while the engine is running, even if you do not push the rear window defoggerswitch. It operates automatically only once after turning the ignition switch to the “ON” posi-tion or putting the operation mode in ON. If you choose this setting, the door mirror heater will also operate automatically at thesame time. For further information, please contact your authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer.On vehicles equipped with Smartphone Link Display Audio, screen operations can be used to make the adjustment.Refer to the separate owner’s manual for details.NOTE

This placard shows the maximum number of occupants permitted to ride in your vehicle aswell as “the combined weight of occupants and cargo” (A), which is called the vehicle capacity weight. The weight of any non-fac-tory installed options, as well as the tongue weight of a trailer being towed and roof load is included in the definition of “cargo” whendetermining the vehicle capacity weight. Thisplacard also tells you the size and recom- mended inflation pressure for the original equipment tires on your vehicle. For moreinformation, refer to “Tires” on page 9-12.

Temperature control switch

 The temperature value of the air conditioning is switched in conjunction with the outside temperature display unit of the multi-infor-mation display. Refer to “Changing the temperature unit” on page 5-153.
 When the engine coolant temperature is low, the air temperature from the heater will be cool/cold until the engine warms up, even if you have selected warm
air with the switch.
To prevent the windshield and windows fromfogging up, the vent mode will be changed to “ ” and the blower speed will be reduced while the system is operating in the AUTOmode.  When you feel that it is hotter or colder than the set temperature, you may adjust it to your preference. For further information, we recommend youconsult an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer or a repair facility of your choice.  When the temperature is set to the highest or the lowest setting, the air selection and the air conditioning will be automaticallychanged as follows. Also, if the air selection is operated manually after an automatic changeover, manual oper-ation will be selected. • Quick Heating (When the temperature is set to the highest setting) Outside air will be introduced and the air conditioning will stop. • Quick Cooling (When the temperature is set to the lowest setting) Inside air will be recirculated and the air conditioning will operate.NOTE

To remove frost or mist from the windshield and door windows, use the MODE switch or defogger switch (“ ” or “ ”). Use this setting to keep the windshield and door windows clear of mist, and to keep the leg area heated (when driving in rain or snow). 1. Set the air selection switch to the outside position.
2. Set the MODE switch to the “ ” posi- tion. 3. Select your desired blower speed by pressing the blower speed selectionswitch. 4. Select your desired temperature by press- ing the temperature control switch.5. Push the air conditioning switch. 1. Push the defogger switch. 2. Set the temperature to the highest posi- tion.
NOTE
 Set the temperature at approximately 75 (when the outside temperature unit of the multi-information display shows °F) or 24 (when the outside temperature unit of the multi-information display shows °C) undernormal conditions.  When the engine coolant temperature is low, the air temperature from the heater will be cool/cold until the engine warms up, even if you have selected warm air with the temper-ature switch. To prevent the windshield and windows from fogging up, the vent mode will be changed to “ ” and the blower speed will be reduced.
