cap

driving,

engine

The
airbag
control
unit
monitors
the
readiness
of the
electronic
parts
of the
system
whenever
the
ignition
switch
is
in
the
“ON”
or
“ST
ART” position.
These
include
all
of
the
items listed above and all related wiring. The
pre-tensioner
seat
belt
system
will
oper
-
ate
only
when
the
ignition
switch
is
in
the
“ON”
or “ST
ART” position.
When
the
seat
belt
pre-tensioners
activate,
some
smoke
is released
and
a loud
noise
will
be
heard.
The
smoke
is not
harmful,
but
care
should
be
taken
not
to intentionally
inhale
it,
as
it may
cause
some
temporary
irritation
to
people with respiratory problems.
The
pre-tensioners
activate
in
the
event
of
a
moderate-to-severe
frontal
or
side
impact,
even
if the
seat
belt
is not
being
worn.
The
seat
belt
pre-tensioners
may
not
activate
in
certain
types
of
collisions,
even
though
the
vehi
cle
may
appea
r to be
severely
damaged.
Such
non-activation
does
not
mean
some-
thing
is wrong
with
the
seat
belt
pre-tensioner
system,
but
rather
that
the
collision
forces
were
not
severe
enough
or
not
of
the
type
to
activate the system.

system

is required
by law in the U.S. and Canada.Child

systems

Look
for
the
manufac-
turer
’s statement

compliance

the
box
and child restraint system itself. The
child
restraint
system
should
be

your

should properly fit your vehicle’

The SRS includes the following components:
The
airbag
control
unit
monitors
the
readiness
of the
electronic
parts
of the
system
whenever
the
ignition
switch
is
in
the
“ON”
or
“ST
ART”
position.
These
include
all
of
the
items listed above and all related wiring. The
airbags
will
operate
only
when
the
igni-
tion
switch
is in the
“ON”
or
“ST
ART”
posi-
tion. When
the
impact
sensors
detect
a front
or
side
impact
suf
ficient
to deploy
the
airbag(s),
the appropriate airbag(s) will be deployed.
When
airbags
deploy
, some
smo
ke
is relea
sed
accompanied
by
a loud
noise.
The
smoke
is
not
harmful,
but
do
not
intentionally
inhale
the
smoke
as
it may
cause
temporary
irrita-
tion to people with respiratory problems.After
deployment,
the
airbags
will
quickly
deflate,
so
quickly
that
some
people
may
not
even
realize
the
airbags
inflated.
Airbag
inflation
does
not
prevent
the
driver
from
seeing
or being
able
to steer
the
vehicle,
and
does
not
prevent
people
from
leaving
the
veh
icle.

R is to record,

crash

crash-like
situations,

deployment

hitting

hip

vehicle
to another

SRS
and
refer
that

3. Clamp it on the fuse you wish to remove, and pull the fuse straight out from the fuse block.
4. Use the fuse location diagrams and the matching tables, to check the fuse that is related to the problem. If the fuse is not blown, something else must be causingthe problem. Contact an authorized Mit- subishi Motors dealer or a repair facility of your choice to have the problemchecked. 5. Insert a new fuse of the same capacity securely into the appropriate slot.

Before replacing a bulb, be sure the light isoff. Do not touch the glass part of the newbulb with your bare fingers; the oil from your skin will stay on the glass and dim or destroy the bulb when it gets hot.
B- Fuse is OKC- Blown fuseCAUTION Never use a fuse with a capacity greater than the one listed or any substitute, such as wire, foil etc. This would cause the circuit wiringto heat up and could cause a fire.
 If the replacement fuse blows again after a short time, have the electrical system checked by an authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealer or a repair facility of your choice to find and correct the cause.
Replacement of light bulbs
CAUTION Bulbs are extremely hot immediately after being turned off. When replacing a bulb, wait for it to coolsufficiently before touching it. You could otherwise be burned.NOTE
 If you are unsure of how to carry out the work as required, it is recommended that these procedures be carried out by an autho-rized Mitsubishi Motors dealer or a repair facility of your choice.  Be careful not to scratch the vehicle body when removing a light and lens.CAUTION
