Pull the sun visor downward (1) to reducefront glare while driving. To reduce side glare, turn the visor to the side (2).
A vanity mirror is fitted to the back of the sun visor. Operating the lid of the vanity mirror will automatically turn on the mirror light (A).
 Do not connect to the USB input terminal any device (hard disk, card reader, memoryreader, etc.) other than the connectabledevices specified in the previous section. The device and/or data
may be damaged. If
any of these devices

Trailer lights and equipment must comply with federal, state,
and local regulations.
Check with your loca
l recreational vehicle
dealer for the requirements in your area, and use only equipment designed for your vehi- cle. Since lighting and wiring
vary by trailer type
and brand, you should have a qualified tech- nician install a suitable connector between thevehicle and the trailer.

installation can cause da

cle’s electrical system
and affect your vehicle
warranty. Many states and Canadi
an provinces require
special outside mirrors when towing a trailer. Even if not required,
you should install spe-
cial mirrors if you ca
nnot clearly see behind
you, or if the trailer
creates a blind spot.
Ask your trailer sales or
rental agency if any
other items are recomm
ended or required for
your towing situation.
Towing a trailer requires a certain amount of experience. Before setting out for the open road, you’ll want to get to know your trailer. Acquaint
yourself with the feel of handling and braking with the added weight of the trailer. Alwayskeep in mind that the vehicle you are driving is now a good deal longer and not nearly as responsive as your vehicl
e is without a trailer.
Before you start, check the trailer hitch, safety chains, tires
and mirror adjustment.
Be sure your vehicle’s ti
res are inflated to the
cold inflation pressure listed in the manual. You’ll find these numbe
rs on the tire and
loading information placard at the sill of thedriver’s door. Refer to “Tire inflati
on pressures” on page
9-18. Stay at least twice as far behind the vehicle ahead as you would when driving your vehi- cle without a trailer.
This can help you avoid
situations that require
heavy braking and sud-
den turns.

WA R N I N G If you have a rear window open and you tow a trailer with
your vehicle, carbon
monoxide gas which
you cannot see or
smell could come into your vehicle. It can cause unconsciousness or death. Refer to“Exhaust system” on page 9-24. To maximize your safe
ty when towing a
trailer: Have your exhaust system inspected for leaks, and make necessary repairs beforestarting on your trip. Keep the rear windows closed.If exhaust does come into your vehicle through a window or
another opening,
drive with your front, main heating or cooling system on an
d with the blower on
any speed. This will
bring fresh, outside
air into your vehicle. Do not use recircula- tion because it only recirculates the air inside your vehicle. Refer to “Air selectionswitch” on page 7-9.

1. When replacing the bulb on the left side of the vehicle, remo
ve the bolt (A) hold-
ing down the relay box and move the relay box toward the rear of the vehicle.(if so equipped)
2. Turn the cap (B) counterclockwise to remove it. 3. Turn the socket (C) counterclockwise to remove it, and then pull the bulb out of the socket.

picked up from air, rain, snow, or road sur- faces can damage the paint and body of yourvehicle if left on. Frequent washing and wa
xing is the best way
to protect your vehicl
e from this damage.
Do not wash the vehicle in direct sunlight. Park the vehicle in the shade and spray it with water to remove dust.
Next, using plenty of
clean water and
a car washing mitt or sponge,
wash the vehicle from top to bottom.Use a mild car washing soap if necessary. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry with a cham- ois or soft cloth. After washing the vehicle,carefully clean the joints and flanges of the doors, hood, etc., wher
e dirt is likely to
remain.
Salt and other chemical
s used on winter roads
in some geographical ar
eas can have a detri-
mental effect on the vehicle underbody. You should flush the underbody with a high pres- sure hose every time you wash the outside ofyour vehicle. Take special care to
remove mud or other
debris which could trap and hold salt andmoisture. After washing your vehicle, wipe off all waterdrops from the rubber parts around thedoors to prevent the doors from freezing.

CAUTION When washing the underside of your vehicle or the wheels, wear a pair of gloves to pro- tect your hands. If your vehicle has rain
sensor wipers, place
the wiper switch lever in the “OFF” positionto deactivate the rain
sensor before washing
the vehicle. Otherwise,
the wipers will oper-
ate in the presence of water spray on thewindshield and may get
damaged as a result.
Never spray or splash
water on the electrical
parts in the engine compartment. This maydamage them. Be careful also when washingthe underbody to ensure that water does not enter the engine compartment. Avoid automatic car washers that use rotat- ing brushes. These brushes may scratch the paint surface and make it dull.Scratches are more not
iceable on darker col-
ored vehicles. Some hot water wash
ing equipment uses
high pressure and heat to clean your vehicle. Because hot water can da
mage plastics parts
and seep inside your ve
hicle, make sure you
do the following when using such equip- ment:• Keep the washing nozzle at least 28 inches(70 cm) away from the vehicle body.• When washing around the door glass, holdthe nozzle at a distance of more than 28inches (70 cm) and at a right angle to the glass surface.
 Make sure to do the following when using an automatic car wash, with help from either this manual or the car wash operator, toavoid damaging your vehicle:• Fold the outside rearview mirrors.• Remove the antenna.• Tape or remove the rear wiper arm assem- bly.• If your vehicle is equi
pped with a roof rails,
check with the car wash operator before using the car wash.CAUTION
• If your vehicle is equipped with the rainsensor wipers, place th
e wiper switch lever
in the “OFF” position to deactivate the rainsensor.

NOTE
 When the door is frozen, opening it by force may tear off or crack the rubber gasketinstalled around the door. Pour warm water to melt the ice. Be sure to thoroughly wipe off the water after opening the door. To pre-vent freezing of the we
