battery, remove static

3. With the Mitsubishi mark facing you, insert the cloth-cov-ered tip of a flat bladescrewdriver into the notch in the remote control transmitter case and use it to open the case.
4. Remove the old battery. 5. Install a new battery with the +side (B)up. 6. Close the remote control transmitter case firmly. 7. Attach the screw (A) removed in step 2.

2. If the tire pressure monitoring system warning light remain
s illuminated after
you have been driving for about 20 min- utes after you adjust the tire inflation pres- sure, one or more of the tires may have apuncture. Inspect the ti
re and if it has a
puncture, have it re
paired by an autho-
rized Mitsubishi Motors dealer as soon aspossible.
The tire pressure monitoring system may not work normally in the following circum- stances:  A wireless facility
or device using the
same frequency is near the vehicle.  Snow or ice is stuck inside the fenders and/or on the wheels. The tire inflation pressure sensor’s battery is dead.  Wheels other than Mitsubishi genuine wheels are being used.  Wheels that are not fitted with tire infla- tion pressure sensors are being used. Wheels whose ID codes are not memo- rized by the vehicle are used.  Compact spare tire is fitted as a road wheel.
 A window tint that affects the radio wave signals is installed.

their ID codes must be
programmed into the tire pressure monitoringsystem. Have tire and
wheel replacement per-

ing hitch mode” for

The detection areas are within approximately 24 inches (60 cm) (A) from the front and cor-ner sensors and 49 inches (125 cm) (B) from the back sensors.
• When the ambient temp
erature has rapidly
changed.• When the sensor is frozen.• When the system detects ultrasonic noise,such as the noise from motorcycle engines, brakes, radios, pouring rain, splashing water or tire chains.• When the sensor is extremely hot or cold(after the vehicle has
been parked for a long
