soon assafely possible. Ifthe engine is
overheated, continuedoperationofthe
vehicle mayseriously damagetheen-

IN-CABIN MICROFILTER

The airconditioning systemisequipped withan
in-cabin microfilter whichcollects dirt,pollen,
dust, etc.To make suretheairconditioner heats,
defogs, andventilates efficiently,replace the
filter according tothe specified maintenance log
shown inthe NISSAN ServiceandMaintenance
Guide. To replace thefilter, contact aNISSAN
dealer.
The filter should bereplaced ifthe airflow
decreases significantly orifwindows fog
up easily whenoperating theheater orair
conditioning system.

environment inmind. Thisrefrigerant willnot

Radio reception isaffected bystation signal
strength, distancefromradio transmitter, build-
ings, bridges, mountains andother external
influences. Intermittent changesinreception
quality normally arecaused bythese external
influences.

. Ifthe cruise control system malfunctions, it
will cancel automatically .The CRUISE in-
dicator lightonthe meter panelwillthen
blink towarn thedriver.
. Ifthe engine coolant temperature becomes
excessively high,thecruise control system
will cancel automatically .
. Ifthe CRUISE indicator lightblinks, turnthe
cruise control MAINswitch offand have the
system checked byaNISSAN dealer.
. The CRUISE indicator lightmayblink when
the cruise control MAINswitch isturned ON
while pushing theACCEL/RES, COAST/
SET orCANCEL switch.To properly setthe
cruise control system, perform thefollowing
procedures.
WARNING
Do not use thecruise control when
driving underthefollowing conditions:
. when itis not possible tokeep the
vehicle ataset speed
. inheavy traffic orintraffic that
varies inspeed .
onwinding orhilly roads
. on slippery roads(rain,snow, ice,
etc .)
. invery windy areas
Doing socould cause aloss ofvehicle
control andresult inan accident.
CAUTION
On Manual Transmission (MT)models,
do not shift intoN(Neutral) without
depressing theclutch pedalwhenthe
cruise control isset. Should thisoccur,
depress theclutch pedalandturn the
MAIN switch offimmediately. Failureto
do somay cause engine
damage.

Do not stop theengine.
3. Turn offthe airconditioner (ifso equipped) .
Open allthe windows, movetheheater orair
conditioner temperature controltomaximum
hot and fancontrol tohigh speed.
4. Get outofthe vehicle. Lookandlisten for
steam orcoolant escaping fromtheradiator
before opening thehood. (Ifsteam or
coolant isescaping, turnoffthe engine.)
Do not open thehood further untilnosteam
or coolant canbeseen.
5. Open theengine hood.
WARNING
If steam orwater iscoming fromthe
engine, standcleartoprevent getting
burned.
6. Visually checkthedrive beltfordamage or
looseness. Alsocheck ifthe cooling fanis
running. Theradiator hosesandradiator
should notleak water. Ifcoolant isleaking or
the cooling fandoes notrun, stop the
engine.
WARNING
Be careful nottoallow yourhands, hair,
jewelry orclothing tocome intocontact
with, orget caught in,engine beltsor
the engine cooling fan.Theengine
cooling fancan start atany time.
7. After theengine coolsdown, checkthe
coolant levelinthe reservoir withtheengine
running. Addcoolant tothe reservoir if
necessary .Have yourvehicle repaired ata
NISSAN dealer.
