STARTUP DISPLAY
When the vehicle in placed in the ON or ACC
position the screens that display in the vehicle
information display include:
● Active system status (if so equipped)
● Trip computer
● Tire pressure information
● Fuel economy ●
Warnings
● Outside air temperature
● Odometer/Twin Trip Odometer
● Audio
● Navigation (if so equipped)
● Settings
Warnings will only display if there are any pres-
ent. For additional information on warnings and
indicators, refer to “Vehicle information display
warnings and indicators” in this section.
To control what items display in the vehicle infor-
mation display, refer to “Main menu selection” in
this section.

The setting mode allows you to change the infor-
mation displayed in the vehicle information display:
● Driver Assistance (if so equipped)
● Customize Display
● Vehicle Settings
● Maintenance
● Clock
● TPMS Settings
● Unit / Language

TPMS Settings
The TPMS settings menu allows the user to
change the tire pressure units displayed in the
vehicle information display.

Pull the lever toward you5to operate the
washer. The wiper will also operate several times.
NOTE:
The Speed Dependent feature may be dis-
abled. For additional information, refer to
“Vehicle information display” in this sec-
tion.
REAR SWITCH OPERATION
If the rear window wiper operation is interrupted
by snow, etc., the wiper may stop moving to
protect its motor. If this occurs, turn the wiper
switch to OFF and remove the snow, etc. on and
around the wiper arms. After about 1 minute, turn
the switch ON again to operate the wiper.
The rear window wiper and washer operate when
the ignition switch is in the ON position. Turn the
switch clockwise from the OFF position to oper-
ate the wiper.

WARNING
In freezing temperatures the washer solu-
tion may freeze on the window and ob-
scure your vision. Warm the rear window
with the defroster before you wash the
rear window.
CAUTION
● Do not operate the washer continuously
for more than 30 seconds.
● Do not operate the washer if the
windshield-washer fluid reservoir is
empty.
● Do not fill the windshield-washer fluid
reservoir with windshield-washer fluid
concentrates at full strength. Some
methyl alcohol based windshield-
washer fluid concentrates may perma-
nently stain the grille if spilled while
filling the windshield-washer fluid

CAUTION
●Do not use E-15 or E-85 fuel in your
vehicle. For additional information, re-
fer to “Fuel recommendation” in the
“Technical and consumer information”
section of this manual.
● The LOOSE FUEL CAP warning mes-
sage will be displayed/warning will ap-
pear if the fuel-filler cap is not properly
tightened. It may take a few driving trips
for the message to be displayed. Failure
to tighten the fuel-filler cap properly
after the LOOSE FUEL CAP warning
message is displayed/warning appears
may cause the
Malfunction Indi-
cator Light (MIL) to illuminate.
● Failure to tighten the fuel-filler cap
properly may cause the
Malfunc-
tion Indicator Light (MIL) to illuminate.
If the
light illuminates because
the fuel-filler cap is loose or missing,
tighten or install the cap and continue
to drive the vehicle. The
light
should turn off after a few driving trips.
If the
light does not turn off after a
few driving trips, have the vehicle in-
spected. It is recommended that you
visit a NISSAN dealer for this service. ●

● If fuel is spilled on the vehicle body,
flush it away with water to avoid paint
damage.
NOTE:
Changing ignition switch status during the
refueling process may cause a delay in fuel
gauge response.
To remove the fuel-filler cap:1. Turn the fuel-filler cap counterclockwise to remove.
2. Put the fuel-filler cap on the cap holder

while refueling.
To install the fuel-filler cap: 1. Insert the fuel-filler cap straight into the fuel- filler tube.
2. Turn the fuel-filler cap clockwise until a single click is heard.

Audio main operation
(power) button / VOL (volume)
control knob
Place the ignition switch in the ACC or ON position
and press the
(power) button while the sys-
tem is off to call up the mode (radio, CD, AUX,
Bluetooth® audio, USB or iPod®) that was playing
immediately before the system was turned off.
To turn the system off, press the(power)
button.
Turn the VOL (volume) control knob to adjust the
volume.
This vehicle may be equipped with Speed Sen-
sitive Volume. When this feature is active, the
audio volume changes as the driving speed
changes. SETTING button
Press the SETTING button to show the Settings
screen on the display. Turn the TUNE-SCROLL
knob to navigate the options and then press the
SETTING button to make a selection.
Settings
Bluetooth For additional information, refer to “Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System without Navigation System” in this section.
Bass Adjusts the bass to the desired level.
Treble Adjusts the treble to the desired level.
Balance Adjusts the balance to the desired level. Balance adjusts the sound level between the left and right speakers.
Fade Adjusts the fade to the desired level. Fade adjusts the sound level between the front and rear speakers.
Brightness Adjust the brightness to adjust the appearance of the display screen.
Contrast Adjust the contrast to adjust the appearance of the display screen.
Clock adjust Press the SETTING button to highlight the hours or minutes and then use the TUNE-SCROLL knob to adjust the value.
Press the SETTING button again to set the value.
On-Screen Clock Toggles ON or OFF the clock display on the upper right corner of the display screen.
RDS Display Toggles ON or OFF the RDS information displayed on the screen while the radio is playing.
Speed Sens Vol. Adjusts the Speed Sensitive Volume function, which increases the volume of the audio system as the speed of the vehicle
increases. Set to “OFF” to disable the feature. The higher the setting, the more the volume increases in relation to vehicle
speed.
AUX Vol. Choose a setting from 0 to +3 to control the boost of incoming auxiliary device volume. A setting of 0 provides no addi-
tional boost in volume. A setting of +3 provides the greatest boost in volume.
Language select Select the desired language for the system from the available options.
Bass, treble, balance and fade can also be adjusted by pressing the SETTING button and turning the TUNE-SCROLL knob to select the item to adjust.
When the desired item is shown on the display, turn the tuning to adjust and then press the SETTING button until the display returns to the main audio screen.
If the button is not pressed for approximately 10 seconds, the radio or CD display will automatically reappear.

6. To remove the spare tire, loosen the bolt byturning counterclockwise.
7. Once free, remove the bolt.
8. Remove the spare tire.
9. Once the flat tire is exchanged with the spare tire, store the flat tire where the spare
tire was located.
10. Turn the bolt clockwise to tighten and place the carpeted floorboard back over the tire.Changing the spare tire with BOSE®
sub-woofer (if so equipped)
1. To loosen the bolt, turn counterclockwise.
2. Once free, remove the bolt. 3. Place the sub-woofer in the lower left corner
of the cargo area, leaning against the driver
side wall.
4. Remove the spare tire.
5. Once the flat tire is exchanged with the spare tire, store the flat tire where the spare
was located.
6. Place the sub-woofer inside the flat tire.
7. Turn the bolt clockwise to tighten and place the carpeted lid back over the tire.

Always refer to the proper illustrations for the
correct placement and jack-up points for your
specific vehicle model and jack type.
Carefully read the caution label attached to
the jack body and the following instruc-
tions.1. Loosen each wheel nut 1 or 2 turns by turning counterclockwise with the wheel nut
wrench. Do not remove the wheel nuts
until the tire is off the ground.
2. Place the jack directly under the jack-up point as illustrated so the top of the jack
contacts the vehicle at the jack-up point.
Align the jack head between the 2 notches in the front or the rear as shown. Also fit the
groove of the jack head between the
notches as shown.
The jack should be used on firm and
level ground.
3. To lift the vehicle, securely hold the jack lever and rod with both hands. Carefully raise the
vehicle until the tire clears the ground. Re-
move the wheel nuts, and then remove the
tire.Installing the spare tire
The spare tire is designed for emergency
use. For additional information, refer to
“Wheels and tires” in the “Do-it-yourself”
section of this manual.
1. Clean any mud or dirt from the surface be- tween the wheel and hub.
2. Carefully put the spare tire on and tighten the wheel nuts finger tight.
3. With the wheel nut wrench, tighten wheel nuts alternately and evenly in the sequence
illustrated (
A,B,C,D,E) until they are
tight.

CHANGING ENGINE OIL
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and applythe parking brake.
2. Start the engine and let it idle until it reaches operating temperature, then turn it off.
3. Remove the oil filler cap

6. Remove the drain plug
Cwith a wrench by
turning it counterclockwise and completely
drain the oil.
If the engine oil filter is to be changed, re-
move and replace it at this time. For addi-
tional information, refer to “Changing engine
oil filter” in this section.
● Waste oil must be disposed of prop-
erly.
● Check your local regulations.

4. Remove pinsAfrom the right engine pro-
tector located inside the right wheel well and
then remove protector. Remove oil filter
B
with an oil filter wrench by turning it counter-
clockwise. Then remove the oil filter by turn-
ing it by hand.
CAUTION
Be careful not to burn yourself. The engine
oil may be hot.
5. Wipe the engine oil filter sealing surface with a clean rag.
CAUTION
●Be sure to remove any old gasket
material remaining on the sealing
surface of the engine. Failure to do
so could lead to an oil leak and en-
gine damage.
● The dipstick must be inserted in
place to prevent oil spillage from the
dipstick hole when filling the engine
with oil. 6. Coat the gasket on the new filter with clean
engine oil.
7. Screw on the oil filter until a slight resistance is felt, then tighten an additional 2/3 turn.
8. Start the engine and check for leakage around the oil filter. Correct as required.
9. Turn the engine off and wait more than 10 minutes. Check the oil level. Add engine
oil if necessary.
CAUTION
●NISSAN recommends using Genuine
NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-3 (or equivalent)
ONLY in NISSAN CVTs. Do not mix with
other fluids.
● Do not use Automatic Transmission
Fluid (ATF) or Manual transmission
fluid in a NISSAN CVT, as it may damage
the CVT. Damage caused by the use of
fluids other than as recommended is
not covered under NISSAN’s New Ve-
hicle Limited Warranty.
● Using fluids that are not equivalent to
Genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-3 may
also damage the CVT. Damage caused
by the use of fluids other than as recom-
mended is not covered under NISSAN’s
New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
When checking or replacement of CVT fluid is
required, we recommend a NISSAN dealer for
servicing.
