∙ Failure to tighten the fuel-filler capproperly may cause the
Mal-
function Indicator Light (MIL) to illumi-
nate. If the
light illuminates be-
cause the fuel-filler cap is loose or
missing, tighten or install the cap and
continue to drive the vehicle.
The
light should turn off af ter a
few driving trips. If the
light does
not turn off af ter a few driving trips,
have the vehicle inspected. It is rec-
ommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer for this service.

the “Instruments and controls” sec-
tion of this manual.
∙ If fuel is spilled on the vehicle body, flush it away with water to avoid paint
damage. To remove the fuel-filler cap:
1. Turn the fuel-filler cap counterclock- wise to remove.
2.
Loop the tether strap around the hook1
while refueling.
To install the fuel-filler cap: 1. Insert the fuel-filler cap straight into the fuel-filler tube.
2. Turn the fuel-filler cap clockwise until a single click is heard.
LOOSE FUEL CAP warning
The LOOSE FUEL CAP warning appears in
the trip computer when the fuel-filler cap is
not tightened correctly af ter the vehicle
has been refueled. It may take a few driving
trips for the message to be displayed. To
turn off the warning, perform the following:
1. Remove and install the fuel-filler cap as soon as possible.
2. Tighten the fuel-filler cap until it clicks.

Display Touch this key to adjust the appearance of the display.
Brightness Adjusts the brightness of the display.
Display Mode Adjusts to fit the level of lighting in the vehicle. Touch key to cycle through options. “Day” and “Night” modes are suited for the respective times of day while “Auto” controls the display automatically.
Scroll Direc-
tion Adjusts the direction of the menu scroll. Choose to either move up or down.
Clock Touch this key to adjust the time.
Time Format The clock can be set to 12 hours or 24 hours.
Date Format Select from five possible formats of displaying the day, month, and year.
Clock Mode Adjust the mode for the clock. “Auto” uses the system’s GPS to automatically maintain the time. “Manual” allows you to set the clock using the “Set Clock Manually” key. Select a time zone using the “Time Zone” key.
Set Clock
Manually Adjust the clock manually, Touch the “+” or “-” keys to adjust the hours, minutes, day, month and year up or down. “Clock
Mode” must be set to manual for this option to be available.
Daylight Sav-
ings Time Adjusts the daylight savings time on or off.
Time Zone Choose the applicable time zone from the list.
Language Touch this key to change the language on the display.
Camera Settings Touch this key to change the camera settings.

To turn the system off, press the(power) button.
Turn the VOL (volume) control knob to
adjust the volume.This vehicle may be equipped with Speed
Sensitive Volume. When this feature is ac-
tive, the audio volume changes as the driv-
ing speed changes.
ENTER/SETTING button
Press the ENTER/SETTING button to show
the Settings screen on the display. Turn the
TUNE/FOLDER knob to navigate the op-
tions and then press the ENTER/SETTING
button to make a selection.
Audio
Bass Adjusts the bass to the desired level.
Treble Adjusts the treble to the desired level.
Balance Adjusts the balance to the desired level. Balance adjusts the sound level between the lef t and right speakers.
Fade Adjusts the fade to the desired level. Fade adjusts the sound level between the front and rear speakers.
Brightness Adjust the brightness to adjust the appearance of the display screen.
Contrast Adjust the contrast to adjust the appearance of the display screen.
Clock Adjust Allows the user to set time manually.
On-Screen Clock Toggles ON or OFF the clock display on the upper right corner of the display screen.
RDS Display Toggles ON or OFF the RDS information displayed on the screen while the radio is playing.
Speed Sensitive Vol. (volume) Adjusts the speed sensitive volume function, which increases the volume of the audio system as the speed
of the vehicle increases. Set to “OFF” to disable the feature. The higher the setting, the more the volume
increases in relation to vehicle speed.
AUX Vol. Choose a setting from 0 to +3 to control the boost of incoming auxiliary device volume. A setting of 0
provides no additional boost in volume. A setting of +3 provides the greatest boost in volume.
Language Select the desired language for the system from the available options.
Auto Source Change Select ON or OFF for the Auto Source Change. With Auto Source Change ON: when device is plugged into
USB port, radio will automatically switch to USB source. With Auto Source Change OFF: when device is
plugged into USB port, radio will stay on currently selected source.
Bass, treble, balance and fade can also be adjusted by pressing the ENTER/SETTING button and turning the TUNE/FOLDER control knob
to select the item to adjust. When the desired item is shown on the display, turn the tuning to adjust and then press the ENTER/SETTING
button until the display returns to the main audio screen. If the button is not pressed for approximately 10 seconds, the radio or CD display
will automatically reappear.

DISP button
The display screen can be turned off by
pressing the DISP button. You can listen to
music while the display is off. If you want to
turn the screen on, either press the DISP
button or press the FM·AM, CD or MEDIA
button.
iPod MENU button
This button can only be used for iPod® op-
erations. For additional information, refer to
“iPod® player operation without Navigation
System” in this section.
BACK button
Press the
BACK button to return to
the previous menu screen.
FM/AM radio operation
FM·AM button
Press the FM·AM button to change the
band as follows:
AM →FM1 →FM2 →AM
If another audio source is playing when the
FM·AM button is pressed, the audio source
playing will automatically be turned off and
the last radio station played will begin play-
ing.
TUNE/FOLDER knob (Tuning)
Turn the TUNE/FOLDER knob to the lef t or
right for manual tuning.
SEEK/TRACK tuning
Press the
TRACK button orSEEK button to tune from low to high or
high to low frequencies and to stop at the
next broadcasting station. SCAN tuning
Press the SCAN button to stop at each
broadcasting station for 5 seconds. SCAN
will appear on the screen while the radio is
scan tuning.
Pressing the button again during this
5 second period will stop SCAN tuning and
the radio will remain tuned to that station. If
the SCAN button is not pressed within
5 seconds, SCAN tuning moves to the next
station.
1 to 6 Station memory operations
Six stations can be set for the AM band.
Twelve stations can be set for the FM band
(six for FM1, six for FM2).
1. Choose the radio band AM, FM1 or FM2 using the FM·AM button.
2. Tune to the desired station using manual, SEEK or SCAN tuning. Press
and hold any of the desired station
memory buttons (1 – 6) until the preset
number is updated on the display and
the sound is briefly muted.
3. The channel indicator will then come on and the sound will resume. Pro-
gramming is now complete.

AudioBass Adjusts the bass to the desired level.
Treble Adjusts the treble to the desired level.
Balance Adjusts the balance to the desired level. Balance adjusts the sound level between the lef t and
right speakers.
Fade Adjusts the fade to the desired level. Fade adjusts the sound level between the front and rear
speakers.
Speed Sens Vol. (Speed Sensitive Volume) Adjusts the speed sensitive volume function, which increases the volume of the audio system as
the speed of the vehicle increases. Set to “OFF” to disable the feature. The higher the setting, the

OFF: when device is plugged into USB port, radio will stay on currently selected source.

The DISP (display) button turns the display
screen on or off.

FM/AM/SAT radio operation
FM·AM button
Press the FM·AM button to change the
band as follows:
AM →FM1 →FM2 →AM
If another audio source is playing when the
FM·AM button is pressed, the audio source
playing will automatically be turned off and
the last radio station played will begin play-
ing.
XM band select
Press the XM button to change the band as
follows:
XM1* →XM2* →XM3* →XM1 (satellite, if so
equipped)
When the XM button is pressed while the
ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position,
the radio will come on at the station last
played.
The last station played will also come on
when the
(power) button is pressed
on.
*When the XM button is pressed, the satel-
lite radio reception will not be available un-
less an optional satellite receiver and an-
tenna are installed and a SiriusXM® Satellite Radio service subscription is active. Satel-
lite radio is not available in Alaska, Hawaii
and Guam.
If a compact disc is playing when the XM
button is pressed, the compact disc will
automatically be turned off and the last
radio station played will come on.
TUNE/SCROLL knob (Tuning)
Turn the TUNE/SCROLL knob to the lef t or
right for manual tuning.
SEEK/CAT tuning
Press the
CAT button orSEEK
button to tune from low to high or high to
low frequencies and to stop at the next
broadcasting station.
SCAN tuning
Press the SCAN button to stop at each
broadcasting station for 5 seconds. SCAN
will appear on the screen while the radio is
scan tuning.
Pressing the button again during this
5 second period will stop SCAN tuning and
the radio will remain tuned to that station. If
the SCAN button is not pressed within
5 seconds, SCAN tuning moves to the next
station.

SOURCE switch
Press the SOURCE switch to change the
mode in the following sequence:
AM→FM1 →FM2 →(XM1 →XM2 →XM3
(satellite radio, if so
equipped))→(SXM1→SXM2→SXM3 (satellite,
if so equipped))→ CD*→USB/iPod®* →
Bluetooth® Audio* (if so equipped) →AUX*
→ AM.
* These modes are only available when
compatible media storage is inserted into
the device or connected to the system.
Volume control switch
Push the + or – volume control switch to
increase or decrease the volume.
Tuning switch
While the display is showing a map or audio
screen, tilt the Tuning switch upward or
downward to select a station, track, CD or
folder. For most audio sources, tilting the
switch up/down for more than 1.5 seconds
provides a different function than a tilting
up/down for less than 1.5 seconds. AM and FM
∙ Tilt up/down for less than 1.5 seconds to increase or decrease the preset station.
∙ Tilt up/down for more than 1.5 seconds to seek up or down to the next station.
XM/SXM (if so equipped) ∙ Tilt up/down for less than 1.5 seconds to increase or decrease the preset station.
∙ Tilt up/down for more than 1.5 seconds to go to the next or previous category.
iPod® ∙ Tilt up/down for less than 1.5 seconds to increase or decrease the track number.
CD ∙ Tilt up/down for less than 1.5 seconds to increase or decrease the track number.
∙ Tilt up/down for more than 1.5 seconds to increase or decrease the folder num-
ber (if playing compressed audio files)
or to fast forward or rewind the current
track. USB
∙ Tilt up/down for less than 1.5 seconds to increase or decrease the track number.
Bluetooth® Audio ∙ Tilt up/down for less than 1.5 seconds to skip ahead or back to the next song.
ANTENNA
The antenna cannot be shortened, but can
be removed. When you need to remove the
antenna, turn the antenna rod counter-
clockwise.
To install the antenna rod, turn the antenna
clockwise. Tighten the antenna rod to
specification using a suitable tool such as
an open-end wrench. The antenna rod
tightening specification is 3.4 – 3.6 N·m (30 –
32 in-lb). Do not use pliers to tighten the
antenna as they can leave marks on the
antenna surface. The antenna rod cannot
be hand tightened to the proper specification.
CAUTION
Always properly tighten the antenna
rod during installation or the antenna
rod may break during vehicle operation.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
The ignition lock is designed so the ignition
switch cannot be placed in the LOCK posi-
tion and the key cannot be removed until
the shif t lever is moved to the P (Park) po-
sition.
When removing the key from the ignition
switch, make sure the shif t lever is in the P
(Park) position.
If the shif t lever is not returned to the P
(Park) position, the ignition switch cannot
be placed in the LOCK position.To remove the key from the ignition switch:
1. Move the shif t lever to the P (Park) posi- tion with the ignition switch in the ON
position.
2. Place the ignition switch in the LOCK position.
3. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
If the shif t lever is moved to the P (Park)
position af ter the ignition switch is placed
in the OFF position or when the ignition
switch cannot be placed in the LOCK posi-
tion, proceed as follows to remove the key. 1. Move the shif t lever into the P (Park) position.
2. Place the ignition switch slightly to- ward the ON position.
3. Place the ignition switch in the LOCK position.
4. Remove the key.
The shif t lever is designed so it cannot
move out of P (Park) and into any of the
other gear positions if the ignition switch is
placed in the OFF position or if the key is
removed from the switch. The shif t lever can be moved if the igni-
tion switch is in the ON position and the
foot brake pedal is depressed.
There is an OFF position between the
LOCK and ON positions. The OFF position
is indicated by a “1” on the ignition
switch. For models without NISSAN Ve-
hicle Immobilizer System, when the igni-
tion switch is in the OFF position, the
steering wheel is not locked.
In order for the steering wheel to be locked,
it must be turned about 1/8 of a turn clock-
wise from the straight up position.
To lock the steering wheel, turn the igni-
tion to the LOCK position. Remove the
key. To unlock the steering wheel, insert
the key and turn it gently while rotating
the steering wheel slightly right and lef t.
If the key will not turn from the LOCK
position, turn the steering wheel to the
lef t or right while turning the key to un-
lock the key cylinder.

Blocking wheels
Place tire stoppers, supplied in tool kit, at
both the front and back of the wheel diago-
nally opposite the flat tire to prevent the
vehicle from moving when it is jacked up.
WARNING
Be sure to block the wheel as the vehicle
may move and result in personal injury.
Getting the spare tire and tools
The jack and tool kit are located behind the
rear passenger side access cover. To re-
move the jack and tool kit perform the fol-
lowing:1. Remove the access cover
1. 2. To easily access removing the jack, first
remove the tool kit by unscrewing the
retainer

3. Remove the tool bag.

4. To release the jack, lower the jack byturning the jack lever
3counterclock-
wise until the lock rod

5. Lif t the jack to remove. 6. Assemble the extension and the
J-shaped end tool together before in-
serting them into the oval-shaped
opening above the middle of the rear
step bumper. Pass the J-shaped end of
the jack rod through the opening and
direct it toward the spare tire winch,
located directly above the spare tire.
CAUTION
Do not insert the jack rod straight as it is
designed to be inserted at an angle as
shown. 7. Fit the square end of the jack rod into
the square hole of the wheel nut
wrench to form a handle.
8. Seat the J-shaped end of the jack rod into the opening of the tire winch. Apply
pressure to keep the jack rod engaged
in the spare tire winch and turn the jack
rod counterclockwise to lower the
spare tire.
9. Once the spare tire is completely low- ered, reach under the vehicle, remove
the retainer chain, and carefully slide
the tire from under the rear of the ve-
hicle. Do not remove the rubber spacer.
