9. Set down weight slowly over axle center so that sensor springlength becomes the same as when in loaded condition (Refer
to table below). Check rear brake pressure in the same way
described in step 7.

10. Bleed air after disconnecting the tool. Refer to ``Bleeding Brake System'', BR-4.
11. Install front LH tire.
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
+ Re®ll with new brake ¯uid ``DOT 3''.
+ Be careful not to splash brake ¯uid on painted areas; it
may cause paint damage. If brake ¯uid is splashed on
painted areas, wash it away with water immediately.
+ Do not reuse Load Sensing Valve once it is disassembled.
+ Replace damaged Load Sensing Valve as an assembly.
+ When disassembling, apply multi-purpose grease to all rubbing
areas.

Body Rear End and Opener
+Bumper fascia is made of plastic. Do not use excessive force and be sure to keep oil away from it.
+Back door lock system adjustment: Adjust lock & striker so that they are in the center.
After adjustment, check back door lock operation.
+Back door hatch lock system adjustment: Adjust lock & striker so that they are in the center.
After adjustment, check back door hatch lock operation.
+Opener cable: Do not attempt to bend cable using excessive force.
+After installation, make sure that back door and fuel ®ller lid open smoothly.
WARNING:
+Be careful not to scratch back door stay and/or back door hatch stay when installing back door
and/or back door hatch. A scratched stay may cause gas leakage.
+The contents of the back door stay and back door hatch stay are under pressure. Do not take apart,
puncture, apply heat or allow ®re near them.
REMOVAL Ð Rear bumper assembly
V1Remove screws securing left and right mudguard.
V2Remove bolts securing left and right rear side bumper to rear fender.
V3Remove screws and clips securing left and right rear side bumper to rear bumper side reinforcement.
V4Remove bolts securing left and right rear side bumper to rear center bumper.
V5Remove bolts securing left and right rear bumper side reinforcement to rear center bumper.
V6Remove bolts securing left and right rear bumper side reinforcement to frame assembly.
V7Remove bolts securing rear hook assembly.
V8Extract rear bumper assembly.
V9Remove bolts securing left and right rear bumper side reinforcement to rear center bumper.

+After adjusting door or door lock, check door lock operation.

Side and Floor Trim
CAUTION:
Wrap the tip of ¯at-bladed screwdriver with a cloth when removing metal clips from garnishes.
REMOVAL Ð Body side trim (WAGON)
V1Remove front, rear and 3rd seats. Refer to ``SEAT'' for details, BT-32.
V2Remove front, rear and 3rd seat belts. Refer to ``SEAT BELTS'' in RS section for details.
V3Remove front and rear kicking plates.
V4Remove front and rear body side welts.
V5Remove dash side lower ®nishers.
V6Remove assist grips.
V7Remove front pillar garnishes.
V8Remove center pillar lower garnishes.
V9Remove assist grips.
V10Remove center pillar upper garnishes.
V11Remove luggage ¯oor retainer.
V12Remove back door welt.
V13Remove assist grips or clips.
V14Remove luggage side upper ®nishers.
V15Remove luggage side lower ®nishers. (On vehicles equipped with power supply sockets, remove connec-
tor from luggage side lower ®nisher LH.)
V16Remove console box assembly. Refer to ``INSTRUMENT PANEL'' for details, BT-11.
V17Remove clips and luggage ¯oor rope hooks, then remove luggage ¯oor trim.
V18Remove screws and clips, then remove rear ¯oor trim.
V19Remove clips, footrest and accel stopper, then remove front ¯oor trim.

CAUTION:

V1Remove tonneau cover.
V2Remove front and rear seats. Refer to ``SEAT'' for details, BT-32.
V3Remove kicking plates.

V6Remove assist grips.
V7Remove front pillar garnishes.
V8Remove luggage ¯oor retainer.
V9Remove back door welt.
V10Remove assist grips.
V11Remove lap outer covers.
V12Remove anchor bolt of seat belts. Refer to ``SEAT BELTS'' in RS section for details.
V13Remove seat belt escutcheons.
V14Remove rear parcel shelf holders.
V15Remove luggage side upper ®nishers.
V16Remove clips securing luggage side lower ®nishers. (On vehicles equipped with power supply sockets,
remove connector from luggage side lower ®nisher LH.)
V17Remove console box assembly. Refer to ``INSTRUMENT PANEL'' for details, BT-11.
V18Remove clips and luggage ¯oor rope hooks, then remove luggage ¯oor trim.
V19Remove screws, then remove rear ¯oor trim.
V20Remove clips, footrest and accel stopper, then remove front ¯oor trim.
