installed inthe exhaust system.Exhaust gasinthe
three-way catalystisburned athigh temperatures to
help reduce pollutants.

(P .9-2) .)Deposits fromleaded gasoline ser-
iously reduce theability ofthe three-way
catalyst tohelp reduce exhaust pollutants
and/or damage thethree-way catalyst. .
Keep yourengine tunedup.Malfunctions in
the ignition, fuelinjection, orelectrical
systems maycause overrich fueltoflow into
the three-way catalyst,causingitto over-
heat. Donot keep driving ifthe engine
misfires, orifnoticeable lossofperformance
or other unusual operating conditions are
detected. Havethevehicle inspected
promptly byaNISSAN dealer.
. Avoid driving withanextremely lowfuel
level. Running outoffuel could cause the
engine tomisfire, damaging thethree-way
catalyst.
