If you must install arear-facing childrestraint system
on the rear center seat,follow thesesteps:
1. Position therear-facing childrestraint systemon
the rear center seat.
Always followthechild restraint systemmanufac-
turer's instructions forinstallation anduse.
2. Route theseat belttongue through thechild
restraint systemandinsert itinto thebuckle until
you hear andfeelthelatch engage.

3. To prevent slackinthe lapbelt, itis necessary to
secure thelapbelt inplace withalocking clip

thelocking clipattached tothe child restraint
system, orone which isequivalent indimensions
and strength.
Be sure tofollow thechild restraint system
manufacturer's instructionsforbelt routing.
4. Test the child restraint systembeforeyouplace
the child init. Tilt itfrom sidetoside. Try to tug it
forward andcheck ifit is held securely inplace.
5. Make surethatthechild restraint systemis
properly securedpriortoeach use.

. Donot use seat covers onthe front seat-

The pre-tensioner systemmayactivate withthe
supplemental airbag system incertain typesof
collisions. Working withtheseat beltretractor and
anchor, ithelps tighten theseat belttheinstant the
vehicle becomes involvedincertain typesofcollisions,

When installing achild restraint systeminyour vehicle,
