Note 1: For the best voice recognition phone
dialing results, say phone numbers as single
digits.
Note 2: You cannot say 555-6000 as ªfive five
five six thousandsº.
Note 3: When speaking a house number, speak
the number ª0º as ª zeroº. If the letter ªo ( Oh)º is
included in the house number, it will not be
recognized as the number ª0 (zero)º even if you
speak ªohº instead of ª zeroº. Please speak
ªzeroº for the number ª0 (zero)º, ªohº for the
letter ªo (oh)º.
Send digits using dial tone:

call.
. The menu will be launched and you will be
provided with the following guidance:
"Please say the digits to dial".
. After guidance, say the digits of the number
you want to send. After this, the digits that
have been recognized will be read out.

steering wheel or on the multi-function
controller, the selected digits will be sent.

Speaker adaptation function (for Alter-
nate Command Mode)

learn the user's voice for better voice recognition
performance. The system can memorize the
voices of up to three persons.
Having the system learn the user's voice:

panel and select the ªOthersº key.
2. Select the ªVoice Recognitionº key.
3. Select the ªSpeaker Adaptationº key.

The voice recognition system starts.

10. When the system has recognized the voice command, the voice of the user is learned.
Push the
switch or BACK button to return
to the previous screen.

rectly, the voice command status on the right
side of the command turns from ªNoneº to
ªStoredº.

Minimize voice feedback (for Alternate
Command Mode)
GUID-26B4FE36-CD88-452A-A717-3D32DE6D1845To minimize the voice feedback from the system,
perform the following steps.
1. Push the SETTING button on the instrumentpanel.
2. Select the ªOthersº key.
3. Select the ªVoice Recognitionº key.
4. Select the ªMinimize Voice Feedbackº key.
5. The setting is turned on and the voice guidance will now be reduced when using
the Voice Recognition system.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDEGUID-A28C8E96-3944-499D-A47F-BB8F2B6396C3The system should respond correctly to all voice commands without difficulty. If problems are encountered, follow the solutions given in this guide for the
appropriate error.
Where the solutions are listed by number, try each solution in turn, starting with number one, until the problem is resolved.
Symptom/error messageSolution
The system fails to interpret the command correctly. 1. Ensure that the command format is valid, see ªCommand Listº (P.4-161) . 2. Speak clearly without pausing between words and at a level appropriate to the ambient noise level.
3. Ensure that the ambient noise level is not excessive, for example, windows open or defrost on.
NOTE:
If it is too noisy to use the phone, it is likely that voice commands will not be recognized.
4. If optional words of the command have been omitted, then the command should be tried with these in place.
The system consistently selects the wrong voicetag in
the phonebook. 1. Ensure that the voicetag requested matches what was originally stored. (See ªBluetooth

driving in a narrow lane, the radar
sensors may detect vehicles driving
two lanes away.
. The radar sensors are designed to
ignore most stationary objects,
however objects such as guardrails,
walls, foliage and parked vehicles
may occasionally be detected. This
is a normal operating condition.
. Severe weather or road spray con-
ditions may reduce the ability of the
radar to detect other vehicles.
. Do not use the BSW system when
towing a trailer because the system
may not function properly.
. Excessive noise (for example, audio
system volume, open vehicle win-
dow) will interfere with the chime
sound, and it may not be heard.

behind in an adjacent lane.
However, if the overtaking vehicle is traveling
much faster than your vehicle, the indicator light
may not illuminate before the detected vehicle is
beside your vehicle. Always use the side and
rear mirrors and turn and look in the direction
your vehicle will move to ensure it is safe to
change lanes.
