CAUTION
●Do not operate the washer continuously
for more than 30 seconds.
● Do not operate the washer if the
windshield-washer fluid reservoir is
empty.
● Do not fill the windshield-washer fluid
reservoir with windshield-washer fluid
concentrates at full strength. Some
methyl alcohol based windshield-
washer fluid concentrates may perma-
nently stain the grille if spilled while
filling the windshield-washer fluid
reservoir.
● Pre-mix windshield-washer fluid con-
centrates with water to the manufactur-
er’s recommended levels before pour-
ing the fluid into the windshield-washer
fluid reservoir. Do not use the
windshield-washer fluid reservoir to
mix the windshield-washer fluid con-
centrate and water. NOTE:
If the windshield wiper operation is inter-
rupted by snow or ice, the wiper may stop
moving to protect its motor. If this occurs,
turn the wiper switch to the OFF position
and remove the snow or ice that is on and
around the wiper arms. In approximately
1 minute, turn the switch on again to oper-
ate the wiper.
The windshield wiper and washer operates when
the ignition switch is placed in the ON position.
Push the lever down to operate the wiper at the
following speed:
1Intermittent (INT) — intermittent operation
can be adjusted by turning the knob
A.
2Low (LO) — continuous low speed operation
3High (HI) — continuous high speed opera-
tion
Push the lever up
4to have one sweep opera-
tion (MIST) of the wiper.
Pull the lever toward you
5to operate the
washer. The wiper will also operate several times.
After a short delay the drip wipe function will
operate the wiper once more to clear remaining
windshield-washer fluid from the windshield. To defrost the rear window glass and outside
mirror (if so equipped) , start the engine and push
the rear window defroster switch on. The rear
window defroster indicator light on the switch
comes on. Push the switch again to turn the
defroster off.
The rear window defroster automatically turns off
after approximately 15 minutes.
CAUTION
When cleaning the inner side of the rear
window, be careful not to scratch or dam-
age the rear window defroster.

Autolight system
The autolight system allows the headlights to be
set so they turn on and off automatically. The
autolight system can:● Turn on the headlights, front parking, tail,
license plate and instrument panel lights au-
tomatically when it is dark.
● Turn off all the lights when it is light.
● Keep all the lights on a period of time after
you place the ignition switch in the OFF
position and all doors are closed. NOTE:
Autolight activation sensitivity and the time
delay for autolight shutoff is adjustable for
vehicles with navigation system. For addi-
tional information, refer to “Vehicle set-
tings” in this section.
To turn on the autolight system:
1. Place the headlight switch in the AUTO po- sition
1.
2. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
3. The autolight system automatically turns the headlights on and off.
Initially, if the ignition switch is placed in the OFF
position and a door is opened and left open, the
headlights remain on for a period of time. If an-
other door is opened while the headlights are on,
then the timer is reset.
To turn the autolight system off, place the switch
in the OFF,
,orposition. Be sure you do not put anything on top of
the autolight sensor located in the top side
1of the instrument panel. The autolight
sensor controls the autolight; if it is cov-
ered, the autolight sensor reacts as if it is
dark out and the headlights will illuminate.
If this occurs while parked with the engine
off and the ignition switch placed in the ON
position, your vehicle’s battery could be-
come discharged.

Headlight beam select
1To select the high beam function, ensure the
low beams are engaged, and push the lever
forward. The high beam lights come on and
the blue
indicator light illuminates.
2Pull the lever back to return to the low beam.
3Pulling and releasing the lever flashes the
headlight high and low beams on and off.
The low beams need not be engaged for this
function.
Battery saver system
The battery saver system automatically turns off
the ignition after a period of time when the igni-
tion switch is left in the ACC or ON position.
The battery saver system automatically turns off
the following lights after a period of time when the
ignition switch is placed in the OFF position and
the doors are closed:
● Headlights, when the headlight switch is in
the
orposition
● Interior lights, when left in the ON position
CAUTION
Even though the battery saver feature au-
tomatically turns off the headlights after a
period of time, you should turn the head-
light switch to the OFF position when the
engine is not running to avoid discharging
the vehicle battery.
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DRL)
(Type A) (if so equipped)
The headlights automatically illuminate at 100%
intensity (low beam is used for the Daytime Run-
ning Lights (DRL) system) when the engine is
started with the parking brake released. The DRL
operate with the headlight switch in the OFF
position. When the DRL system is active, the clearance lights, tail lights, front side marker
lights, and rear side marker lights are off. To turn
the DRL system off, turn the switch to the
position.
When the headlight switch is placed in the
position for full illumination when driving at night
there will be no difference in the low beam inten-
sity.
If the parking brake is applied before the engine is
started, the DRL do not illuminate. The DRL illu-
minate once the parking brake is released. The
DRL will remain on until the ignition switch is
placed in the OFF position.
It is necessary at dusk to turn the headlight switch
on for interior controls and switches to illuminate,
as those remain off while the switch is in the OFF
position.
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DRL)
(Type B) (if so equipped)
The headlights automatically illuminate at 100%
intensity (low beam is used for the Daytime Run-
ning Lights (DRL) system) when the engine is
started and the parking brake released. The DRL
operate with the headlight switch in the OFF

the DRL system off, turn the switch to the
position.

started, the DRL do not illuminate. The DRL illu-
minate when the parking brake is released. The
DRL will remain on until the ignition switch is
placed in the OFF position.
It is necessary at dusk to turn the headlight switch
on for interior controls and switches to illuminate,
as those remain off while the switch is in the OFF
position.
WARNING
When the DRL system is active, tail lights
on your vehicle are not on. It is necessary
at dusk to turn on your headlights. Failure
to do so could cause and accident injuring
yourself and others.
LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS
(DRL) (Type C — NISMO) (if so
equipped)
The LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) auto-
matically illuminate at 100% intensity when the
engine is started and the parking brake released.
The LED DRL operate with the headlight switch
in the OFF position. To turn off the LED DRL
system, turn the headlight switch to the
position.
If the parking brake is applied before the engine is
started, the LED DRL do not illuminate. The LED
DRL illuminate when the parking brake is re-
leased. The LED DRL will remain on until the
ignition switch is placed in the OFF position.
It is necessary at dusk to turn the headlight switch
on for interior controls and switches to illuminate,
as those remain off while the switch is in the OFF
position.
WARNING
When the LED DRL system is active, tail
lights on your vehicle are not on. It is
necessary at dusk to turn on your head-
lights. Failure to do so could cause an
accident injuring yourself and others.

POWER WINDOWS
WARNING
●Make sure that all passengers have
their hands, etc. inside the vehicle while
it is in motion and before closing the
windows. Use the window lock switch to
prevent unexpected use of the power
windows.
● To help avoid risk of injury or death
through unintended operation of the
vehicle and/or its systems, including
entrapment in windows or inadvertent
door lock activation, do not leave chil-
dren, people who require the assistance
of others or pets unattended in your
vehicle. Additionally, the temperature
inside a closed vehicle on a warm day
can quickly become high enough to
cause a significant risk of injury or
death to people and pets.
The power windows operate when the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position, or for a
period of time after the ignition switch is placed in
the OFF position. If the driver’s or passenger’s
door is opened during this period of time, the
power to the windows is canceled.
Driver’s side power window switch

6. Driver side automatic switch
The driver’s side control panel is equipped with
switches to open or close all of the windows. To open a window, push the switch and continue
to hold it down until the desired window position
is reached. To close a window, pull the switch
and continue to hold it up until the desired win-
dow position is reached.
Locking passengers’ windows
When the window lock switch is depressed, only
the driver’s side window can be opened or
closed. Push it again to cancel the window lock
function.

Auto-reverse function
The auto-reverse function can be activated when
a window is closed by automatic operation.
Depending on the environment or driving
conditions, the auto-reverse function may
be activated if an impact or load similar to
something being caught in the window oc-
curs.
WARNING
There are some small distances immedi-
ately before the closed position which
cannot be detected. Make sure that all
passengers have their hands, etc., inside
the vehicle before closing the window.
If the vehicle’s battery is disconnected, replaced,
or jump started, the power window auto-reverse
function may not operate properly. If this occurs,
please contact the dealer to re-initialize the
power window auto-reverse system.
If the control unit detects something caught in a
window equipped with automatic operation, as it
is closing, the window will be immediately low-
ered.
When power window switch does not
operate
If the power window automatic function (closing
only) does not operate properly, perform the fol-
lowing procedure to initialize the power window
system: 1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
2. Open the window more than halfway by operating the power window switch.
3. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch
more than 3 seconds after the window is
closed.
4. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to
confirm the initialization is complete. The
power window automatically opens or
closes depending on if the automatic down
or up function is selected.
5. Perform steps 2 through 4 above for other windows.
If the power window function does not operate
properly after performing the above procedure
have the system checked and repaired. It is rec-
ommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this
service.
POWER MOONROOF
The moonroof will only operate when the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position. The power
moonroof is operational for a period of time, even
if the ignition switch is placed in the ACC or OFF
position. If the driver’s door or the front passen-
ger’s door is opened during this period of time,
the power to the moonroof is canceled.
Sliding the moonroof
To fully open or close the moonroof, push the
switch to the open
2or close1position and
release it; it need not be held. The roof will

automatically open or close all the way. To stop
the roof, push the switch once more while it is
opening or closing.
Tilting the moonroof
To tilt up, first close the moonroof, then push the
switch to the tilt up position
1and release it; it
need not be held. To tilt down the moonroof, push
the switch to the tilt down position
2.
Resetting the moonroof switch
If the moonroof does not operate properly, per-
form the following procedure to initialize the
moonroof operation system.
1. If the moonroof is open, close it fully by repeatedly pushing the moonroof switch to
the close position
1to tilt the moonroof up.
2. Push and hold the switch to the close posi- tion
1.
3. Release the moonroof switch after the moonroof moves slightly up and down.
4. Push and hold the switch to the open posi- tion
2to fully tilt the moonroof down.
5. Check if the moonroof switch operates nor- mally.
If the moonroof does not operate properly after
performing the procedure above, have your ve- hicle serviced. It is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN dealer for this service.
Auto-reverse function (when closing or
tilting down the moonroof)
The auto-reverse function can be activated when
the moonroof is closed or tilted down by auto-
matic operation when the ignition switch is
placed in the ON position or for a period of time
after the ignition switch is placed in the OFF
position.
Depending on the environment or driving
conditions, the auto-reverse function may
be activated if an impact or load similar to
something being caught in the moonroof
occurs.
WARNING
There are some small distances immedi-
ately before the closed position which
cannot be detected. Make sure that all
passengers have their hands, etc., inside
the vehicle before closing the moonroof.
When closing
If the control unit detects something caught in the
moonroof as it moves to the front, the moonroof
will immediately open backward. When tilting down
If the control unit detects something caught in the
moonroof as it tilts down, the moonroof will im-
mediately tilt up.
If the auto-reverse function malfunctions and re-
peats opening or tilting up the moonroof, keep
pushing the tilt down switch within 5 seconds
after it happens; the moonroof will fully close
gradually. Make sure nothing is caught in the
moonroof.
WARNING
●
In an accident you could be thrown from
the vehicle through an open moonroof.
Always use seat belts and child
restraints.
● Do not allow anyone to stand up or
extend any portion of their body out of
the moonroof opening while the vehicle
is in motion or while the moonroof is
closing.
CAUTION
● Remove water drops, snow, ice or sand
from the moonroof before opening.
● Do not place heavy objects on the
moonroof or surrounding area.

Sunshade
Open and close the sunshade by sliding it for-
ward or backward.
If the moonroof does not close
Have your moonroof checked and repaired. It is
recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
1The interior light can be turned on regardless
of door position. The light will go off after a
period of time unless the ignition switch is
placed in the ON position when any door is
opened.
2The interior lights can be set to operate
when the doors are opened. To turn off the
interior lights when a door is open, push the
switch; the interior lights will not illuminate,
regardless of door position.
The lights will go off when the ignition switch
is placed in the ON position, or the driver’s
door is closed and locked. The lights will also
go off after a period of time when the doors
are open. NOTE:
The step lights (if so equipped) illuminate
when the driver and passenger doors are
opened regardless of the interior light
switch position. These lights will turn off
automatically after a period of time while
doors are open to prevent the battery from
becoming discharged.
CAUTION
Do not use for extended periods of time
with the engine stopped. This could result
in a discharged battery.

CONSOLE LIGHT (if so equipped)
The console light will turn on whenever the park-
ing lights or headlights are illuminated.
MAP LIGHTS
To turn the map lights on, push the switches. To
turn them off, push the switches again.
CAUTION
Do not use for extended periods of time
with the engine stopped. This could result
in a discharged battery.
DOME LIGHT
The interior light has a three-position switch and
operates regardless of ignition switch position.
When the switch is in the ON position
1, the
interior lights illuminate, regardless of door posi-
tion. The lights will go off after a period of time
unless the ignition switch is placed in the ACC or
ON position.

When the switch is in the DOOR position2, the
interior lights will stay on for a period of time
when:
● The doors are unlocked by the key fob, a key,
or the power door lock switch, while all
doors are closed and the ignition switch is
placed in the OFF position.
● The driver’s door is opened and then closed
while the key is removed from the ignition
switch.
● The key is removed from the ignition switch
while all doors are closed.
The lights will turn off while the timer is activated
when: ● The driver’s door is locked by the key fob, a
key, or the power door lock switch.
● The ignition switch is placed in the ON po-
sition.
When the switch is in the OFF position
3, the
interior lights do not illuminate, regardless of door
position.
The lights will turn off automatically after a period
of time while doors are open to prevent the bat-
tery from becoming discharged.
CAUTION
Do not use for extended periods of time
with the engine stopped. This could result
in a discharged battery. The light illuminates when the trunk lid is opened.
When the trunk lid is closed, the light goes off.
The light will go off after a period of time if the
trunk lid is left open, unless the ignition switch is
placed in the ON position.
