Maintenance
The maintenance menu allows the user to
set reminders for various vehicle mainte-
nance items.
WARNING
The tire replacement indicator is not a
substitute for regular tire checks, includ-
ing tire pressure checks. For additional
information, refer to “Changing wheels
and tires” in the “Do-it-yourself ” section
of this manual. Many factors including
tire inflation, alignment, driving habits
and road conditions affect tire wear and
when tires should be replaced. Setting
the tire replacement indicator for a cer-
tain driving distance does not mean your
tires will last that long. Use the tire re-
placement indicator as a guide only and
always perform regular tire checks. Fail-
ure to perform regular tire checks, in-
cluding tire pressure checks could result
in tire failure. Serious vehicle damage
could occur and may lead to a collision,
which could result in serious personal in-
jury or death.

Ambient image sensor maintenance
The ambient image sensorO1for the High
Beam Assist system is located in front of
the inside mirror. To maintain the proper
operation of the high beam assist system
and prevent a system malfunction, be sure
to observe the following:
• Always keep the windshield clean.
• Do not attach a sticker (including trans- parent material) or install an accessory
near the ambient image sensor.
• Do not strike or damage the areas around the ambient image sensor. Do
not touch the sensor lens that is located
on the ambient image sensor. If the ambient image sensor is damaged
due to an accident, it is recommended that
you visit a NISSAN dealer.
Battery saver system (if so
equipped)
If the ignition switch is placed in the OFF
position while the headlight switch is in the
orposition, the headlights will
turn off af ter a period of time.
CAUTION
Even though the battery saver feature
automatically turns off the headlights
af ter a period of time, you should turn
the headlight switch to the OFF posi-
tion when the engine is not running to
avoid discharging the vehicle battery.
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DRL)
SYSTEM (if so equipped)
The Daytime Running Lights (DRL) automati-
cally illuminate when the engine is started
with the parking brake released. The DRL op-
erate with the headlight switch in the OFF
position. Turn the headlight switch to the
position for full illumination when driv-
ing at night. (The DRL will turn off.)
If the parking brake is applied before the
engine is started, the DRL do not illuminate.
The DRL illuminate once the parking brake
is released. The DRL will remain on until the
ignition switch is placed in the OFF position.
It is necessary at dusk to turn the headlight
switch on for interior controls and switches
to illuminate, as those remain off while the
switch is in the OFF position.
WARNING
When the DRL system is active, tail
lights on your vehicle are not on. It is
necessary at dusk to turn on your
headlights. Failure to do so could cause
an accident injuring yourself or others.
LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS
(DRL) SYSTEM (if so equipped)
The LED DRL automatically illuminate at
100% intensity when the engine is started
and the parking brake released. The LED
DRL operate with the headlight switch in
the OFF position. When you turn the head-
light switch to the
position for full
illumination, the LED lights switch from LED
DRL to the park function.

Touch-screen maintenance
If you clean the display screen, use a dry,
sof t cloth. If additional cleaning is neces-
sary, use a small amount of neutral deter-
gent with a sof t cloth. Never spray the
screen with water or detergent. Dampen
the cloth first and then wipe the screen.

•When washing the vehicle with high
pressure water, be sure not to spray it
around the camera. Otherwise, water
may enter the camera unit causing
water condensation on the lens, a
malfunction, fire or an electric shock.
• Do not strike the camera. It is a preci-
sion instrument. Otherwise, it may
malfunction or cause damage result-
ing in a fire or an electric shock.
The following are operating limitations and
do not represent a system malfunction:
• When the temperature is extremely high or low, the screen may not clearly display
objects.
• When strong light directly shines on the camera, objects may not be displayed
clearly.
• Vertical lines may be seen in objects on the screen. This is due to strong reflected
light from the bumper.
• The screen may flicker under fluorescent light.
• The colors of objects on the RearView Monitor may differ somewhat from the
actual color of objects.
• Objects on the monitor may not be clear in a dark environment. • There may be a delay when switching
between views.
• If dirt, rain or snow accumulate on the camera, the RearView Monitor may not
display objects clearly. Clean the camera.
• Do not use wax on the camera lens. Wipe off any wax with a clean cloth dampened
with a diluted mild cleaning agent, then
wipe with a dry cloth.

camera
O1, the RearView Monitor may not
display objects clearly. Clean the camera
by wiping it with a cloth dampened with a
diluted mild cleaning agent and then wip-
ing it with a dry cloth.

When the “[X]” icon is displayed on the
screen, the camera image may be receiv-
ing temporary electronic disturbances
from surrounding devices. This will not hin-
der normal driving operation but the sys-
tem should be inspected if it occurs fre-
quently. It is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN dealer for this service.SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

If dirt, rain or snow accumulates on any of the
cameras
O1, the MOD system may not oper-
ate properly. Clean the camera by wiping with
a cloth dampened with a diluted mild clean-
ing agent and then wiping with a dry cloth.
Adjust air flow direction by moving the vent
slides or vent knobs.
For side vents: Move the slide toward
to close the vent and away fromto
open it.
For center vents: Rotate the knob clock-
wise to close the vent and counterclock-
wise to open it.
