Auto-reverse function
The auto-reverse function can be acti-
vated when a window is closed by auto-
matic operation.
Depending on the environment or driv-
ing conditions, the auto-reverse func-
tion may be activated if an impact or
load similar to something being caught
in the window occurs.
WARNING
There are some small distances imme-
diately before the closed position
which cannot be detected. Make sure
that all passengers have their hands,
etc., inside the vehicle before closing
the window.
If the vehicle's battery is disconnected, re-
placed, or jump started, the power window
auto-reverse function may not operate
properly. Have the power window auto-
reverse system re-initialized. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
If the control unit detects something
caught in a window equipped with auto-
matic operation as it is closing, the window
will be immediately lowered.
When power window switch does
not operate
If the power window automatic function
(closing only) does not operate properly,
perform the following procedure to initial-
ize the power window system:
1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
2. Open the window more than half way by operating the power window switch.
3. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the
switch more than 3 seconds af ter the
window is closed.
4. Release the power window switch. Op- erate the window by the automatic
function to confirm the initialization is
complete. The power window automati-
cally opens or closes depending on if the
automatic down or up function is
selected.
5. Perform steps 2 through 4 above for other windows. If the power window function does not op-
erate properly af ter performing the above
procedure have the system checked and
repaired. It is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN dealer for this service.

POWER MOONROOF
The moonroof will only operate when the
ignition switch is placed in the ON position.
The power moonroof is operational for a
period of time, even if the ignition switch is
placed in the AUTO ACC or OFF position. If
the driver's door is opened during this pe-
riod of time, the power to the moonroof is
canceled.
Sliding the moonroof
To fully open or close the moonroof, push
the switch to the open
O1or closedO2
position and release it; it need not be held.The roof will automatically open or close all
the way. To stop the roof, push the switch
once more while it is opening or closing.
Tilting the moonroof
To tilt up, first close the moonroof, then
push the switch
O3and release it; it need
not be held. To tilt down the moonroof,
push the switch to the tilt down position
O2.
Resetting the moonroof switch
If the moonroof does not operate properly,
perform the following procedure to initial-
ize the moonroof operation system.
1. If the moonroof is open, close it fully by repeatedly pushing the moonroof
switch to the closed position
O2.
2. Push and hold the switch to the closed position
O2for approximately 15
seconds.
3. Release the switch af ter the moonroof moves up, down, then back to the full tilt
up position.
4. Push and hold the switch to the closed position
O2. 5. Release the switch af ter the moonroof
completes one full cycle from the tilt up
position to the closed position, then to
the open position, and again to the fully
closed position.
6. Check if the moonroof switch operates normally.
If the moonroof does not operate properly
af ter performing the procedure above,
have your vehicle serviced. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
Auto-reverse function (when
closing or tilting down the
moonroof)
The auto-reverse function can be acti-
vated when the moonroof is closed or
tilted down by automatic operation when
the ignition switch is placed in the ON po-
sition or for a period of time af ter the igni-
tion switch is placed in the OFF position.
Depending on the environment or driv-
ing conditions, the auto-reverse func-
tion may be activated if an impact or
load similar to something being caught
in the moonroof occurs.

WARNING
There are some small distances imme-
diately before the closed position
which cannot be detected. Make sure
that all passengers have their hands,
etc., inside the vehicle before closing
the moonroof.
When closing
If the control unit detects something
caught in the moonroof as it moves to the
front, the moonroof will immediately open
backward.
When tilting down
If the control unit detects something
caught in the moonroof as it tilts down, the
moonroof will immediately tilt up.
If the auto-reverse function malfunctions
and repeats opening or tilting up the
moonroof, keep pushing the tilt down
switch within 5 seconds af ter it happens;
the moonroof will fully close gradually.
Make sure nothing is caught in the
moonroof.
WARNING
• In an accident you could be thrown
from the vehicle through an open
moonroof. Always use seat belts and
child restraints.
• Do not allow anyone to stand up or
extend any portion of their body out
of the moonroof opening while the
vehicle is in motion or while the
moonroof is closing.
CAUTION
• Remove water drops, snow, ice or
sand from the moonroof before
opening.
• Do not place heavy objects on the
moonroof or surrounding area.
Sunshade
Open and close the sunshade by sliding it
forward or backward.
If the moonroof does not close
Have your moonroof checked and re-
paired. It is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN dealer for this service.
1The interior light can be turned on re-
gardless of door position. The light will
go off af ter a period of time unless the
ignition switch is placed in the ON posi-
tion when any door is opened.
2The interior lights can be set to operate
when the doors are opened. To turn off
the interior lights when a door is open,
push the switch; the interior lights will
not illuminate, regardless of door posi-
tion.
The lights will go off when the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position, or
the driver's door is closed and locked.

TRUNK LIGHT
The light illuminates when the trunk lid is
opened. When the trunk lid is closed, the
light goes off.
The light will go off af ter a period of time if
the trunk lid is lef t open, unless the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position.

LOCKING WITH POWER DOOR
LOCK SWITCH
To lock all the doors without a key, push the
door lock switch (driver's or front passen-
ger's side) to the lock position
O1. When
locking the door this way, be certain not to
leave the key inside the vehicle.
To unlock all the doors without a key, push
the door lock switch (driver's or front pas-
senger's side) to the unlock position
O2.
Lockout protection
When any door is open and the power door
lock switch is moved to the lock position, all
doors will lock. If the Intelligent Key is lef t in
the vehicle af ter all the doors are closed, all
doors will unlock automatically and a
chime will sound.
These functions help to prevent the Intelli-
gent Key from being accidentally locked
inside the vehicle.
AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS
• All doors lock automatically when the ve- hicle speed reaches 15 mph (25 km/h).
• Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) (if so equipped)– All doors unlock automatically when the transmission is placed in the P
(Park) or OFF position.
• Manual transmission (if so equipped) – All doors unlock automatically whenthe ignition is placed in the OFF
position.
NOTE:
The automatic door unlock function can
be changed using the “Vehicle Settings”
of the vehicle information display.

1. Move the shif t lever to the P (Park) posi-tion (Continuously Variable Transmis-
sion only) or the N (Neutral) position and
apply the parking brake (manual trans-
mission only), place the ignition switch in
the LOCK position and make sure you
carry the Intelligent Key with you.
2. Close all doors.
3. Push any door handle request switch (if so equipped)
O1while carrying the Intel-
ligent Key with you.
4. All doors and the trunk will lock. 5. The hazard warning lights flash twice
and the outside chime sounds twice.
NOTE:
• Doors and trunk lid lock with the doorhandle request switch (if so equipped)
while the ignition switch is not in the
LOCK position.
• Doors and trunk lid lock by pushing the door handle request switch (if so
equipped) while any door is open. Only
driver door lock with mechanical key
even if any door is open.
• Doors do not lock with the door handle request switch (if so equipped) with
the Intelligent Key inside the vehicle; a
beep sounds to warn you. However,
when an Intelligent Key is inside the
vehicle, doors can be locked with an-
other Intelligent Key.
WARNING
Af ter locking the doors using the re-
quest switch, make sure that the doors
have been securely locked by operat-
ing the door handles. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in inad-
vertently unlocking the doors, which
may decrease the safety and security
of your vehicle.
CAUTION
• When locking the doors using the re-
quest switch, make sure to have the
Intelligent Key in your possession
before operating the request switch
(if so equipped) to prevent the Intelli-
gent Key from being lef t in the
vehicle.
• The request switch is operational
only when the Intelligent Key has
been detected by the Intelligent Key
system.
Lockout protection
To prevent the Intelligent Key from being
accidentally locked in the vehicle, lockout
protection is equipped with the Intelligent
Key system.
When the driver’s side door is open, the
doors are locked and then the Intelligent
Key is put inside the vehicle and all the
doors are closed; the lock will automati-
cally unlock. A chime will sound to warn
you. However, if an Intelligent Key is inside
the vehicle with all the doors closed, the
doors can be locked with another Intelli-
gent Key.

All doors and trunk lid will be locked auto-
matically unless one of the following op-
erations is performed within 30 seconds
af ter pushing the request switch (if so
equipped):
• Opening any door or the trunk lid.
• Pushing the ignition switch.
Using the interior lights
The interior lights illuminate for a period of
time when a door is unlocked and the inte-
rior lights switch is not in the OFF position.
The interior lights can be turned off without
waiting by performing one of the following
operations:
• Placing the ignition switch in the ONposition.
• Locking the doors with the request switch (if so equipped) or the Intelligent
Key.
• Switching the interior light switch to the OFF position.

lights” (P. 2-74).
Opening the trunk lid
1. Push the trunk opener request switch (if so equipped)
OAwhile carrying the Intel-
ligent Key with you.
2. The trunk will unlatch. A chime will sound three times.
3. Raise the trunk lid to open the trunk.
HOW TO USE THE REMOTE
KEYLESS ENTRY FUNCTION
The remote keyless entry function can op-
erate all door locks using the remote key-
less function of the Intelligent Key. The re-
mote keyless function can operate at a
distance of 33 f t (10 m) away from the ve-
hicle. The operating distance depends
upon the conditions around the vehicle.
The remote keyless entry function will not
function under the following conditions:
• The Intelligent Key is not within the opera- tional range.
• The doors or the trunk are open or not closed securely.
• The Intelligent Key battery is discharged.
CAUTION
When locking the doors using the Intel-
ligent Key, be sure not to leave the key
in the vehicle.

Locking doors
1. Place the ignition switch in the LOCK position.
2. Close all doors. 3. Press the
button on the Intelli-
gent Key.
4. The hazard warning lights flash twice and the horn beeps once.
5. All doors and the trunk will be locked.
WARNING
Af ter locking the doors using the Intelli-
gent Key, be sure that the doors have
been securely locked by operating the
door handles. Failure to follow these in-
structions may result in inadvertently
unlocking the doors, which may decrease
the safety and security of your vehicle.
Unlocking doors
1. Press thebutton on the Intelligent
Key to unlock the driver’s door.
2. The hazard warning lights flash once.
3. Press the
button again within 60
seconds to unlock all doors and trunk.
All doors and trunk lid will be locked auto-
matically unless one of the following op-
erations is performed within 60 seconds
af ter pressing the
button:
• Opening any doors or trunk lid.
• Pushing the ignition switch.

Using the interior lights
The interior lights illuminate for a period of
time when a door is unlocked and the inte-
rior lights switch is not in the OFF position.
The interior lights can be turned off without
waiting by performing one of the following
operations:
• Placing the ignition switch in the ONposition.
• Locking the doors with the request switch (if so equipped) or the Intelligent
Key.
• Switching the interior light switch to the OFF position.
For additional information, see “Interior
lights” (P. 2-74).
Releasing the trunk lid
Press thebutton for 0.5 seconds to
open the trunk lid. The trunk release button
will not operate when the ignition switch is
placed in the ON position.
Using the panic alarm
If you are near your vehicle and feel threat-
ened, you may activate the panic alarm to
call attention by pressing and holding the
button on the Intelligent Key for lon-
ger than 0.5 seconds.
The panic alarm and headlights will stay on
for a period of time.
The panic alarm stops when:
• It has run for a period of time.
•
(unlock) button is pressed on the
Intelligent Key.
Silencing the horn beep feature
If desired, the horn beep feature can be
deactivated using the Intelligent Key.
To deactivate: Press and hold the
andbuttonsfor at least 4 seconds.
The hazard warning lights will flash three
times to confirm that the horn beep fea-
ture has been deactivated.
To activate: Press and hold the
andbuttonsfor at least 4 seconds once
more.
The hazard warning lights will flash once
and the horn will sound once to confirm
that the horn beep feature has been
reactivated.
Deactivating the horn beep feature does
not silence the horn if the alarm is
triggered.
WARNING SIGNALS
To help prevent the vehicle from moving
unexpectedly by erroneous operation of
the Intelligent Key or to help prevent the
vehicle from being stolen, a chime or
buzzer sounds from inside and outside the
vehicle and a warning is displayed in the
instrument panel.
When a chime or beep sounds or a warning
is displayed, be sure to check the vehicle
and the Intelligent Key.

Transmission only)
Verif y the location of all Intelligent Keys that
are programmed for the vehicle. If another
Intelligent Key is in range or inside the ve-
hicle, the vehicle system may respond dif-
ferently than expected.

When pushing the ignition switch
to stop the engine The Shif t to Park warning light in the instrument
panel illuminates and the inside chime sounds con-
tinuously. The shif t lever is not in the P (Park)
position.
Make sure that the shif t lever is in
the P (Park) position.
When pushing the door handle
request switch (if so equipped) to
lock the door The outside chime sounds for a few seconds.
The Intelligent Key is inside the ve-
hicle or the trunk.Be sure to carry the Intelligent Key
with you.
When closing the doors The outside chime sounds 3 times.
The ignition switch is in the ACC
position.Place the ignition switch in the
OFF position.
The Shif t to Park warning light in the instrument
panel illuminates and the outside chime sounds
continuously. The ignition switch is in the OFF
position and the shif t lever is not in
the P (Park) position.Make sure that the shif t lever is in
the P (Park) position and place the
ignition switch in the OFF position.
Few seconds af ter closing the driver’s door, the Rear
Door Alert warning message appears on the dis-
play, the horn sounds six times, or a Check Back
Seat For All Articles warning appears on the display. The Rear Door Alert is activated.
Check the back seat for all articles,
press the OK button to clear the
Rear Door Alert warning message.
The outside chime sounds for approximately 3 sec-
onds and all the doors unlock. The Intelligent Key is inside the ve-
hicle or the trunk.Be sure to carry the Intelligent Key
with you.
When closing the trunk lid The outside chime sounds for few seconds and the
trunk lid opens. The Intelligent Key is inside the
trunk.Be sure to carry the Intelligent Key
with you.
When pushing the
button
on the Intelligent Key to lock the
door The outside chime sounds for a few seconds and all
the doors unlock. The Intelligent Key is inside the ve-
hicle or the trunk.
Be sure to carry the Intelligent Key
with you.
A door is not closed securely. Close the doors securely.
