The first warning is displayed
400 km before service is due and the
second warning 80 km before the
service is due. The message appears every time the vehicle is switched on.
The message can be dismissed or
reset. Reset after service only.

The control indicators described are
not present in all vehicles. The
description applies to all instrument
versions. Depending on the
equipment, the position of the control indicators may vary. When the vehicle
is switched on, most control indicators
will illuminate briefly as a functionality test.

1. Move out of the flow of traffic as quickly as possible without
impeding other vehicles.
2. Stop, switch off the vehicle.

Driving while p illuminates could

Brake system

applying the electric parking brake. If

seek the assistance of a workshop.

Electric parking brake is operating

Flashes
Electric parking brake is in service
mode. Stop vehicle, apply and
release the electric parking brake to
reset.9 Warning
Have the cause of the fault
remedied immediately by a
workshop. Avoid parking on
inclines until the cause of the fault has been remedied.
An error message may be displayed
in the Driver Information Centre

Antilock brake system
(ABS)
u illuminates yellow.
Illuminates for a few seconds after the
vehicle is switched on. The system is ready for operation when the control
indicator extinguishes.
If the control indicator does not go out after a few seconds, or if it illuminates
while driving, there is a fault in the

Trip
Trip odometer displays the current
distance and the current average
electrical energy economy since a
certain reset.The distance counts up to
99,999.9 km then restarts at 0.
The average electrical energy
economy displays the approximate
average kWh per 100 km (kWh/100
km).
To reset, press and hold 9.
Tyre pressure (kPa)
Checks tyre pressure of all wheels
during driving 3 233.
Average speed
Display of average speed. The
measurement can be reset at any
time.
Timer
To start and stop, press 9. To reset,
press [ and confirm reset.
Traffic sign assistant
Displays the detected traffic signs for
the current route section 3 188.
Following distance
Displays the distance in seconds to a preceding moving vehicle 3 168.

● Outside temperature includes the
effect that hot or cold air has on
vehicle aerodynamics.
● Score is the sum of the individual
scores.
The individual scores provide an
understanding of how electric
economy are different from day-to-
day, even when travelling the same
route.
All values are reset after a complete
charge and may not be stable until
approximately 16 km have been
driven.Efficiency History
The Efficiency History graph shows
the average economy over the last
50 km.
The present bar provides the average economy for the current 5 km.
Touch Reset to clear the history data.
Energy settings
To view and change the Energy
settings , touch Energy and then
Energy settings . Use the arrows to
scroll through the list.
The following list of menu items may
be available:
● Location-based charging : This
feature allows the charging settings to be remembered at the
saved GPS coordinates for the
Home location.

Relock remotely unlocked doors :
Activates or deactivates the
passive locking function. This
feature locks the vehicle
automatically after several
seconds if all doors have been
closed and an electronic key has been removed from the vehicle.
Remote start auto heat seats :
Activates or deactivates automatically the heated seats
when using remote start.
Passive door unlock : Changes

High beam assist switches
automatically to low beam when:
● Driving in urban areas.
● Reverse parking function is active.
● Rear fog light is switched on.
If there are no restrictions detected, the system switches back to high
beam.
Deactivation
If high beam assist is active and high
beam is on, press f once or pull
indicator lever once to deactivate high beam assist.If high beam assist is active and high
beam is off, press f once to
deactivate high beam assist.
Pushing the indicator lever to activate
manual high beam will also
deactivate high beam assist.
Headlight flash in conjunction with high beam assist
Headlight flash by pulling indicator
lever once will not deactivate high beam assist when high beam is off.

Fault in headlight system
When the system detects a failure in
the headlight system, it selects a
preset position to avoid dazzling of
oncoming traffic. A warning is
displayed in the Driver Information
Centre.

To activate the headlight flash, pull
lever.

Select Settings . Scroll through the list
and select Display Settings .
Select the desired option.
Wi-Fi settings Using the Wi-Fi menu, you can
establish a connection to an available
Wi-Fi network.
Press p and then select 1 in the top
left corner of the screen to display the application overview screen.
Select Settings and then Wi-Fi to
display the respective submenu.
Configuration of Wi-Fi
Activate or deactivate Wi-Fi.
Note
A Wi-Fi connection can only be
established if Wi-Fi is activated.
Wi-Fi networks
To display a list of available Wi-Fi
networks, select Manage Wi-Fi
Networks .
To register a new network, select Add
Another Network . Follow the
instructions on the screen and enter
the network name, security type and
password. The new network appears
in the list.
To reload the existing list, select
Refresh .
To display more information on a
network, select i.
To delete a network from the list,
select Delete .
Factory defaults Press p and then select 1 in the top
left corner of the screen to display the application overview screen.
Select Settings . Scroll through the list
and select Return to factory settings .
To restore all vehicle personalisation
settings, select Reset vehicle
settings .
To delete the paired Bluetooth
devices and all related data, select
Clear all private data .

delete all favourites, and erase the ringtone selection, select Restore
radio settings .
In each case, a warning message is
displayed. Select Continue to reset
the settings.

Press p and then select 1 in the top
left corner of the screen to display the application overview screen.
Select Settings . Scroll through the list
and select Software information .
To display open source software
licensing information, select Open
source .
Software updates
Press p and then select 1 in the top
left corner of the screen to display the
application overview screen.
Select Settings . Scroll through the list
and select Software information .To start a software update, select
Software Update . For a detailed
description on software updates

To display a menu with further
settings, select Update Preferences .
If Download New Updates in
Background is activated, software
updates are downloaded
automatically by the system without
specific notification. If Download New
Updates in Background is
deactivated, a message might be
displayed before an update is carried out. Activate or deactivate the
function as desired.

Usage
Activation of the radio function Press p and then select 1 in the top
left corner of the screen to display the
application overview screen.
Select Audio. The audio main menu
last selected is displayed.
Select Source .
Select the desired waveband.
The station last played in the selected waveband will be received.

Storing a station
Activate the desired waveband and
station.
Activate the < tab to display the
favourites list. Touch and hold the
desired list item for a few seconds.
The currently active frequency or
station is stored to the list item.
Alternatively, select t on the screen
or in a list. The favourite is saved and
the screen button changes to s.
To delete a station, fling the
respective list item to the right. The
favourite is wiped from the favourites
list.
Alternatively, touch s. The favourite
is deleted from the list and the screen
button changes to t.
Retrieving stations
Activate the < tab to display the
favourites list.
Select the preset screen button on
which the desired radio station is
stored.
Radio data system (RDS) RDS is a service of FM stations that
considerably facilitates the finding of
the desired station and its fault-free
reception.
Advantages of RDS ● On the display, the programme name of the station appears
instead of its frequency.
● During a station search, the Infotainment system tunes in to
RDS stations only.● The Infotainment system always
tunes into the best receivable
broadcasting frequency of the set station by means of AF
(alternative frequency).
● Depending on the station that is received, the Infotainment
system displays radio text that
can contain e.g. information on
the current programme.
RDS configuration
To use the RDS functions, RDS has
to be activated.
Activate the FM waveband. Select
Menu to open the corresponding
waveband-specific submenu and
then select the Audio settings tab.

Infotainment system129Songs listThe songs list contains songs stored
on the active media source.
Depending on prior selections, songs
of an album or playlist are displayed.
If no selection has been made, all
songs are displayed in alphabetical
order.
Activate the = tab to display the
songs list. Select the desired song.
Favourites
Favourites of all audio sources can be stored manually in the favourites list.
The favourites list contains up to
15 favourites.
Storing a song
Activate the desired media source
and song.
Activate the < tab to display the
favourites list. Touch and hold the
desired list item for a few seconds.
The currently playing song is stored
to the list item.
Alternatively, select t on the screen
or in a list. The favourite is saved and
the screen button changes to s.To delete a song, fling the respective
list item to the right. The favourite is
wiped from the favourites list.
Alternatively, touch s. The favourite
is deleted from the list and the screen
button changes to t.
Retrieving songs
Activate the < tab to display the
favourites list.
Select the preset screen button on
which the desired song is stored.
Audio settings
Activate the desired audio source and then select Menu.
Select the Audio settings tab. Adjust
the settings as desired.
To return from the audio menu to the
audio main screen, select Now
playing .
Displaying pictures
You can view pictures from a USB
device connected to the USB port.Note
For your safety, some features are
disabled while driving.
Activating the picture function
If the device is not yet connected to
the Infotainment system, connect the
device 3 125.
Press p and then select 1 in the top
left corner of the screen to display the application overview screen.
Select Gallery to open the media
main menu.
Select y to open the picture main
menu to display a list of items stored
on the USB device. Select the desired
picture. If this is stored within a folder, select the respective folder first.
