Follow the reg ulations of the country in
which you are driving when using front fog
lamps .

Reversing lamp

Hazard warning lamps
T o sw it c h o n , p u sh b u t t o n¨; to sw itch off,
pus h button¨ again.
To aid loc ation of the button, the
re d surface is illum inate d with the ignition
switched on. Whe n the button is presse d,
its control indicator flashes in time with the
hazard warning lamps. On = Press>,> in

Instrum ent illumination,
info rmation display illumination
In high amb ient light conditions, the auto
lighting turns on the illumination with fixe d
intensity to indicate that the e xte rior lamps
are on.
In most other lighting conditions,
brightness can be adjusted when the
ignition is on by turning a djuster w he el up
or down.
W hen the light switch is turne d to
pos itionX, ins trument pane l backlighting
goe s out and the drive r information centre
is illum inate d at its ma ximum brightnes s .
Courtesy lamps
Automatically sw itc h on whe n the d oors
are unlocke d with the remote control, w he n
a door is opened or when the key is
re move d from the ignition switch.

20 seconds after c losing the doors and
i m m ed i a t el y w h en t h e i g ni t i o n i s sw it ch e d
on or afte r locking the doors with the

Re ading lamp s on the left and right are

To preve nt the ba tte ry from b ecoming
discharged, the courtesy lamps, reading
lamps and luggage compa rtm ent lighting
switch off automatically 20 minutes afte r
the ignition is switched off.

The inside of the la mp cove rs may mist
up briefly in poor, wet and cold we ather
conditions , in heav y rain or afte r was hing.

Headlamps when driving abroad
The as ymm etrical dippe d b eam exte nds
visibility at the e dge of the road at the
passenger’s sid e.
This c aus e s glare for oncoming tra ffic if the
vehicle is driven in countries where traffic
drives on the opp osite side of the road.
Consult a work shop.

Theft protecti on
T h e I nf o t a i n m e nt s ys t em i s equ i p p e d w i t h
an ele ctronic the ft-de terre nt fe ature which
works by learning part of the Vehic le
Ide ntification Num ber (V IN).
The Infotainme nt s ys tem only w ork s in your
vehicle and is therefore of no value to
thieve s.
Retained Ac cessory Pow er (RAP)
This fe ature allows the Infotainme nt
system to be played even after the ignition
is turne d off.
Display
The following information can be shown on
the c entral dis play p ane l:
– Radio inform ation,
–Time,
–Date,
– S o u nd se t t i ng s,
–CD/MP3 information.Operation
Swit ching on/ off Press the X e kn ob .

Informat ion dis pla ye d
The illumina ted dis play shows informa tion
for the rad io, the CD/MP3 pla yer, tim e and
the sound settings.
When the Infotainm ent system is switched
on, the dis play illuminate s and the mos t
re ce ntly s e le cted aud io s ourc e play s at the
previous volume se tting.
Vo lu m e
Turn the X e knob;
clockw is e to increas e the volume or
anticlockwis e to decre ase the volum e.
zW hen it is s witched on, the
Infotainment s ys te m play s at the most
re cently s et volum e.
zThe radio volume can be adjuste d
automatically to c om pensate for road
and w ind nois e, de pending on ve hicle
