This comes on for a few
seconds each time the ignition
is switched on.
Linked to the central STOP warning
light.
If this warning light comes on while
the vehicle is moving, it indicates that
one or more wheels are punctured.
It is accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the multi-
function display locating the wheel
concerned.

the engine running, it indicates an
abnormal increase in the tempera-
ture of the coolant.

This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If the warning light remains on or
comes on above 8 mph (12 km/h),

A S R ) w a r n i n g l i g h t
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
While the engine is running and the
v e h i c l e i s m o v i n g , i t fl a s h e s i f t h e
system is activated.
It comes on permanently when it is
disarmed.
B a t t e r y c h a r g e w a r n i n g
light
This comes on for a few
seconds each time the ignition is
switched on.
If it comes on, with the engine running,
it indicates one of the following:
- faulty operation of the charging circuit,
- slack battery or starter terminals,
- a cut or slack alternator belt,
- an alternator failure.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

This comes on for a few sec-
onds each time the ignition is
switched on.
Linked to the central STOP warning
light.
If this warning light comes on, with
the engine running, it indicates one
of the following:
- that the handbrake is applied or not fully released, if the vehicle is
moving,
- a n e x c e s s i v e d r o p i n b r a k e fl u i d level (if the warning light remains
on even when the handbrake is
released),
- a fault in the Electronic Brake Force Distribution.

Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. However, the vehicle retains conven-
tional servo-assisted braking.
Lighting of this warning light, accom-
panied by an audible signal, indicates
an ABS fault.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

light
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
W h e n t h i s l i g h t fi r s t c o m e s o n , y o u
have enough fuel to drive approxi-
m a t e l y 3 0 m i l e s ( 5 0 k m ) (The tank
capacity is approximately 40 litres).

This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If it comes on, with the engine run-
ning, this indicates that there is a risk
o f d a m a g e t o t h e i n j e c t i o n s y s t e m .
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer as soon
as possible.
D i e s e l e n g i n e p r e - h e a t
warning light
Wait until the warning light goes out
before starting the engine.
If the temperature is high enough,
the warning light comes on for less
than one second. You can start the
engine without waiting. P a s s e n g e r a i r b a g
d i s a r m e d w a r n i n g l i g h t
This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
If the passenger air bag is disarmed,
the warning light remains on.
Always consult a PEUGEOT dealer if
t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s .
S e a t b e l t n o t f a s t e n e d
warning light
When the ignition is switched
on, this warning light comes
on if the driver (and/or a passenger)
has not fastened his seat belt.
Above 12 mph (20 km/h), this warning
l i g h t fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n u t e s a c c o m -
panied by an audible signal which
becomes progressively louder. Once
the two minutes have elapsed, the
warning light remains on until the driver
(and/or passenger) fastens his seat
belt.
T h e d r i v e r m u s t e n s u r e t h a t a l l
p a s s e n g e r s f a s t e n a n d u s e t h e
s e a t b e l t s c o r r e c t l y . Door open warning
light
This comes on if a door, the bonnet
or the boot is still open.
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), this warning
light is accompanied by an audible
signal and a message on the multi-
function display.

l i g h t ( " 2 T r o n i c " g e a r b o x )
When this warning light comes on,
you must put your foot on the brake
(example: when starting the engine).
If you do not put your foot on the

This comes on for a few seconds each
time the ignition is switched on.
With the engine running, illumination
of this warning light, accompanied
by an audible signal, indicates a fault
in the front, steering column, side or
curtain air bags.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
E m i s s i o n c o n t r o l
s y s t e m w a r n i n g l i g h t
This comes on each time the ignition
is switched on and remains on until
the engine is started.
If it comes on, with the engine run-
ning, it indicates a malfunction of the
emission control system.

4 - Access to the rear seats
If necessary, detach the seat belt
from the handle and position it along
the door pillar.
Lift control A with one hand and
guide the movement of the seat for-
wards with the other hand (keeping
the control in the lifted position).
The driver has a courtesy handle B ,
located on the inner side of the pas-
senger seat, for tilting the seat to
allow a child access to the rear for
example.
When it is put back in place, the seat
returns to its initial position. 5 - Head restraint height and
angle adjustment
To raise the head restraint, pull it up-
wards.
To lower it, it is necessary to push si-
multaneously:
- the button, located on the left guide at the base of the head re-
straint frame,
- the head restraint downwards.
No person or object should
prevent the seat from returning
t o i t s i n i t i a l p o s i t i o n ; t h e r e t u r n
to this position is necessary in
order for it to be secured. T h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t i s fi t t e d w i t h a f r a m e
which has notches which prevent it
f r o m l o w e r i n g ; t h i s i s a n i m p a c t s a f e t y
device.
Never drive with the head re-
s t r a i n t s r e m o v e d ; t h e y m u s t
be in place and correctly
adjusted.
The adjustment is correct
when the upper edge of
the head restraint is level
with the top of the head.
To adjust the angle of the head restraint,
tilt it.
To remove it, press the lug and pull
it upwards.

REAR SEATS
Seat back angle adjustment
Tilt the control C and adjust the angle
to the comfort or loading position.
Release the control to lock. Folding/Placing in the "fully
folded" position
Place the head restraint in the low
position.
Position the seat belt buckle as close
as possible to the strap return.
Move the seat as far back as possi-
ble using the bar A or the handle B .
Fold the seat back onto the seat
cushion tilting control C fully.
Note: you can lock the seat back in
this position by pressing on it.
Push the control D upwards to release
the rear feet.
Place the seat in the "fully folded"
position.
When driving, the seat is retained in
this position by the side strut.
Table position
Place the head restraint in the low
position.
Fold the seat back onto the seat
cushion tilting control
C fully.
Note: you can lock the seat back in
this position by pressing on it.
Forwards-backwards
adjustment
Lift the bar
A and slide the seat for-
wards or backwards.
From the boot, you can press the red
handle B and slide the seat forwards
or backwards.
This manoeuvre makes folding of the
seat when loading the boot easier.

pends on you. INSTALLING A CHILD SEAT
USING A THREE POINT SEAT
BELT

GENERAL POINTS RELATING TO CHILD SEATS
"Forwards-facing"
When a "forwards-facing" child seat
is installed on the front passenger
seat , adjust the vehicle's seat to the
intermediate longitudinal position
with the seat back upright and leave
the passenger air bag armed.
"Rearwards-facing"
When a "rearwards-facing"
child seat is installed on the
front passenger seat , it is
essential that the passenger
air bag is disarmed. Otherwise, the
child would risk being seriously
injured or killed if the air bag were
t o i n fl a t e .
For maximum safety, please
follow these precautions:
-
in accordance with Directive
2003/20, all children under the
age of 12 or less than one metre
fi f t y t a l l m u s t t r a v e l i n a p p r o v e d
child seats suited to their weight ,
o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h a s e a t b e l t o r
ISOFIX mountings * ,
- statistically, the safest seats
in your vehicle for the trans-
portation of children are the
rear seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg
must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the
front and in the rear.
PEUGEOT recommends that children
should travel in the rear seats of your
vehicle:
- "rearwards-facing" up to the age
of 2,
- "forwards-facing" over the age
of 2.
