FAMILIARISATION
Your vehicle has been approved in
accordance with the new ISOFIX
regulation.
T h e r e a r s e a t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h r e g u l a -
tion ISOFIX mountings.
These are three rings for each seat:
- t w o l o w e r r i n g s A , l o c a t e d
between the vehicle's seat back
a n d c u s h i o n ,
- a n u p p e r r i n g B , r e f e r r e d t o a s
t h e T O P T E T H E R , l o c a t e d a t
the rear of the seat back at the
bottom. The
ISOFIX child seats a r e fi t t e d
with two latches and/or a strap which
a r e s e c u r e d e a s i l y o n t h e s e r i n g s ,
indicated by labels or a mark on the
rear seat back panel.

Driver's seat belt not fastened

1. Insert the key.
2. Select the "OFF" position
3. Remove the key in the OFF
position. When the ignition is switched
o n , t h e w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s
until the driver fastens their
seat belt.
Above a speed of approximately
1 0 m p h ( 1 5 k m / h ) , t h e w a r n i n g l a m p
fl a s h e s a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e
signal until the driver fastens their
seat belt.

Anti-lock
Braking
System (ABS) fi x e d .
The anti-lock braking
system has a fault. The vehicle retains conventional braking.
Drive carefully at reduced speed and contact
a P E U G E O T d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p
without delay.
Electronic
stability
programme (
ASR
/
ESP
) fi x e d .
The ASR/ESP system is
in action. The system optimises traction and improves
the directional stability of the vehicle.
fi x e d .
The ASR/ESP system
has a fault. Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or
a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Coolant
temperature fi x e d . The temperature of the
engine coolant is too
high. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
Wait until the engine has cooled down before
checking up the level; top up if necessary.
If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT
d e a l e r o r q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Airbags temporarily.
This lamp comes on for
a few seconds when you
turn on the ignition, then
goes off. This lamp should go off when the engine is
started.
If it does not go off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
fl a s h i n g . At least one of the
airbags has a fault. The airbags may not be deployed in the event
of a serious impact. Have it checked by a
P E U G E O T d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .

Deactivating
the
passenger's airbag fi x e d . The passenger's airbag
control is set to the
OFF
position.
The passenger's front
airbag is deactivated.
In this case you can
install a "rear facing"
child seat. Set the control to the
ON position to activate the
p a s s e n g e r ' s f r o n t a i r b a g . I n t h i s c a s e , d o n o t fi t a
child seat in the rear-facing position.
Battery
charge fi x e d . The battery charging
circuit has a fault (dirty or
loose terminals, slack or
cut alternator belt, ...). The warning lamp should go off when the engine
is started.
If it does not go off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Electric power
steering fi x e d . The electric power
steering has a fault. Drive carefully at reduced speed.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or
q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Driver's
seat belt not fastened
(according to version) fl a s h i n g , t h e n
above 9 mph (15 km/h),
accompanied
by an audible signal. The driver has not
fastened their seat belt.
Pull the strap then insert the tongue in the
buckle.
Emission
control
system fi x e d .
The emission control
system has a fault. This lamp should go off when the engine is started
.
If it does not go off, contact a PEUGEOT dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p w i t h o u t d e l a y .

airbag is deactivated. Otherwise, the

i n j u r e d o r k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e
t o i n fl a t e .
PEUGEOT recommends that chil-
dren should travel in the rear seats
of your vehicle:
- " r e a r w a r d s - f a c i n g " up to the
age of 2,
- " f o r w a r d s - f a c i n g " over the age
of 2. " F o r w a r d s - f a c i n g "
When a "forwards-facing" child seat
is installed on the
front passenger
seat , adjust the vehicle's seat to the
intermediate longitudinal position
with the seat back upright and leave
the passenger airbag activated.

ADVICE ON CHILD SEATS
The incorrect installation of a
child seat in a vehicle compromises
the child's protection in the event of
an accident.
Remember to fasten the seat belts or
the child seat harness k e e p i n g t h e
s l a c k in relation to the child's body to
a minimum , even for short journeys.
To install a child seat using the ve-
hicle's seat belt, ensure that the belt
is well tightened on the child seat
a n d t h a t i t h o l d s t h e c h i l d s e a t fi r m l y
against the vehicle's seat.
For optimum installation of the "for-
ward facing" child seat, ensure that
the back of the child seat is in contact
with the back of the vehicle's seat
and that the head restraint does not
cause any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be re-
moved, ensure that it is stored or
attached securely to prevent it from
being thrown around the vehicle in
the event of sharp braking. Children under the age of 10 must not
travel in the "forward facing" position
on the front passenger seat, unless
the rear seats are already occupied
by other children, cannot be used or
are absent.
Deactivate the passenger airbag *
when a "rear facing" child seat is in-
stalled on the front seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk being
seriously injured or killed if the airbag
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- one or more children alone and
unsupervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.
To protect young children from the
r a y s o f t h e s u n , fi t s i d e b l i n d s o n t h e
rear windows.
I n s t a l l i n g a b o o s t e r s e a t
The chest part of the seat belt must
be positioned on the child's shoulder
without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat
belt passes correctly over the child's
thighs.
PEUGEOT recommends the use of
a b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , fi t -
ted with a seat belt guide at shoulder
level.
