CHECKING THE LEVELS
There are two marks
on the dipstick:
A = maximum
I f y o u fi l l p a s t t h i s m a r k ,
contact a PEUGEOT
d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d
workshop.
B = minimum
Never allow the level
to fall below this mark.
Dipstick
Oil change
According to the information given in
the servicing booklet. Changing the brake fluid
T h e b r a k e fl u i d m u s t b e c h a n g e d a t
the intervals stated, according to the
manufacturer's servicing schedule.

dards.
Windscreen wash level
For best quality cleaning and for your
safety, we would advise that you
use products recommended by your
manufacturer.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a
q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Oil viscosity grade
In all cases, the oil selected must meet
the manufacturer's requirements. Cooling system
Used oil
Avoid prolonged contact of used oil
with the skin.

To maintain the reliability of
engines and emission control
systems, the use of additives
in engine oil is prohibited. S l a c k e n t h e c a p b y 1 / 4 o f a
turn to release the pressure
to prevent any risk of scald-
ing. When the pressure has
dropped, remove the cap and top up
the level. O n l y u s e t h e fl u i d r e c o m -
mended by the manufacturer.
Otherwise, you risk seriously
damaging your engine.
Do not dispose of used oil,
b r a k e fl u i d o r c o o l a n t i n t o
drains or into the ground.
Empty the used oil into the
containers provided for this
purpose in the PEUGEOT dealer
n e t w o r k o r a t a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p
(France) or at an authorised waste
disposal site.
Oil level
Check the level regularly and top up
between changes. The maximum oil
consumption is 0.5 litre per 600 miles
(1 000 km).
Check the level with the vehicle level,
engine cold, using the dipstick.
When the engine is warm, the tem-
perature of the coolant is controlled
by the engine fan. As this fan can op-
erate with the ignition key removed
and because the cooling system is
pressurised, wait for at least one hour
after the engine has stopped before
carrying out any work.
