Comfort
A setting around 21 enables you to obtain an
optimum level of comfort. Depending on your requirements, a setting between 18 and 24 is usual.
In addition, it is recommended that you avoid a
left/ri
ght setting difference of more than 3.

On entering the vehicle, if the interior temperature is much colder or warmer than the comfort value, there is no need to alter the value displayed in order to obtain the required level of comfort. The system corrects the temperaturedifference automatically and as quicklyas possible.

4. Automatic visibilityprogramme
For maximum cooling or heating of the passenger compartment, you can exceed the minimum value of 14 or the maximum value of 28.)Push the switch 2or 3down until"LO"
is displayed or up until "HI"
is displayed. See "Front demistin
g-defrosting".

Dependin
g on your requirements, you can
make a different selection from that offered by
the system by changing a setting. The other
functions will still be controlled automatically.

Resuming manual control
The air conditioning is designed to
operate efficiently in all seasons, with
t
he windows closed.

5. Air conditioning On/Off

It allows you:


- in summer, to lower the temperature,

- in winter, above 3 °C, to improve demisting.

The air conditioning cannot operate when theair flow is set to off.

Switching the system off
)Press this button to recirculatethe interior air. The indicator lamp in the button comes on and
the air recirculation symbol is
displayed.

Air recirculation prevents exterior odoursand smoke from entering the passenger compartment. It is activated automatically when
operating the screen wash.

Avoid driving for too long with the system switched off (risk of misting andof deterioration of the air quality).
Pressing the "full fan"button reactivates the system with the settings prior to deactivation.
The air
flow symbol (a fan) appears in thescreen. It is filled in progressively in relation to
the value required. Thi
s action switches off all of the functions of
the air conditioning system. The temperature is no longer maintained at a comfor table level. However, a slight flow of air, due
to the movement of the vehicle, can still be felt.) As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of exterior air and
prevent misting. The indicator lamp in the
button goes off.
) Press this button several times in succession to direct the air flowin turn towards:

- the windscreen, the side windows and the
footwells,

- the windscreen and side windows (demisting or defrosting),

- the central and side vents,

- the central vents, the side vents and the
footwells,

- the footwells.



Avoid prolonged operation in interior air recirculation mode (risk of misting andof deterioration of the air quality).

Switching on

The rear screen demisting/defrosting can onlyoperate when the engine is running.)Press this button to demist/defrost the rear screen and (depending on version) the door mirrors. The indicator lamp associated with
the button comes on.

With Stop & Star t, when demisting has been activated, the STOP mode is not available.


Switching off

The demisting/defrosting switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of current.)It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting
operation before it is switched off automatically
by pressing the button again. The indicator lamp associated with the button goes off.
With dual-zone digital air
conditioning
Automatic visibility programme)Put the temperature and distributioncontrols to the dedicated marked position. )Switch on the air conditioning by pressing
the "A/C"button; the warning lamp in thebutton comes on.
) Select this programme to demist or defrost
the windscreen and side windows as quickly as possible.
The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and
provides optimum distribution towards the

dscreen and side windows.) To stop the programme, press either the "visibility"button again or "AU TO "

Visibility
Daytime running lamps
Daytime lighting, compulsory in cer tain
countries, which comes on automatically when
the engine is star ted making the vehicle more
visible to other users.
LED lamps
They come on when the engine is started.
Depending on the country of sale, they are used for:


- daytime running lamps *
in day mode and sidelamps in night mode (they are brighter
when daytime running lamps),

or


- sidelamps in day and night mode.

Function that can be set in the vehicleconfiguration menu. Thi
s function is assured:
- in countries where it is imposed byregulations,
by illumination of the dipped beam
headlamps with the sidelamps and number
plate lamps; this function cannot bedeactivated.
- for other countries where it is provided,
b
y the use of dedicated lamps (LEDs); this
function can be activated or deactivated via
the vehicle configuration menu. The lighting control stalk must be placed in
the "0"or "AUTO"
(day mode) position.
Deactivation of the daytime running lamps is
effective after operation of the lighting control
stalk or after the next engine start; activation is
effective immediately.
The instruments and controls
(instrument
panel, multifunction screen, air conditioningcontrol panel, ...) are not illuminated, except in night mode with manual or automatic
illumination of headlamps.

Safety
Airbags
System designed to maximise the safety of the
occupants (with the exception of the rear centrepassenger) in the event of violent collisions.
The airbags supplement the action of the force-
limiting seat belts (with the exception of the centre rear passenger).
If a collision occurs, the electronic detectors record and analyse the front and side impacts sustained in the impact detection zones:
- in the case of a serious impact, the airbagsare deployed instantly and contribute
towards better protection of the occupants
of the vehicle
(with the exception of the rear centre passenger); immediately after theimpact, the airbags deflate rapidly so that
they do not hinder visibility or the exit of the
occupants,
- in the case of a minor or rear impact
or in cer tain roll-over conditions, the
airbags will not be deployed; the seat belt
alone contributes towards ensuring your protection in these situations.
The airbags do not operate whenthe ignition is switched off.
This equipment will only deploy once.
If a second impact occurs (during thesame or a subsequent accident), theairbag will not be deployed again.
Deployment of the airbag(s) is accompanied by a slight emission of smoke and a noise, due to theactivation of the pyrotechnic cartridgeincorporated in the system.This smoke is not harmful, but sensitiveindividuals may experience slight irritation.
The noise of the detonation may result in a slight loss of hearing for a shorttime.

Front airbags


Deployment

The airbags are deployed, except the passenger's
front airbag if it has been deactivated, in the event of
a serious front impact to all or par t of the front impact
z
one A , in the longitudinal centreline of the vehicle on
a horizontal plane and directed from the front to the
rear of the vehicle.
The front airbag inflates between the thorax and head
of the front occupant of the vehicle and the steeringwheel, driver's side, and the dashboard, passenger's
side to cushion their forward movement.
System which protects the driver and frontpassenger in the event of a serious front impact
in order to limit the risk of injury to the head and
thorax.
The driver's airbag is fitted in the centre of the steering wheel; the front passenger's airbag isfitted in the dashboard above the glove box.

Practical information
To replace a fuse, you must: )use the special tweezer to extract the fuse
from its housing and check the condition of
its filament.)always replace the failed fuse with a fuse
of the same rating (same colour); using a
different rating could cause faults (risk of fire).
If the fuse fails again soon after replacement, have the vehicle's electrical system checked bya PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.


Changing a fuse

Before changing a fuse:
)the cause of the failure must be identified and rectified, )all electrical consumers must be switched
off,)the vehicle must be immobilised with the
ignition off,)identify the failed fuse using the tables and
layout drawings in the following pages.Good Failed

Practical information
System which manages the duration of use of certain functions to retain a sufficient level of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as the audio and telematics
s
ystem, windscreen wipers, dipped beam headlamps, cour tesy lamps, etc. for a maximum combined duration of about thir ty minutes.








Electrical energy economy mode
Switching to economy mode
Once this time has elapsed, a message appears in the screen indicating that the vehiclehas switched to economy mode and the active
functions are put on standby.
If a telephone call is being made at this time, it
will be maintained for around 10 minutes with
the Bluetooth hands-free system of your audio
system.


Exiting economy mode

These functions are reactivated automatically
next time the vehicle is driven.) To restore these functions immediately,start the engine and let it run for at least five minutes.

A flat battery prevents the engine from starting (refer to the correspondingsection).









Load reduction mode

System which manages the use of cer tain
functions according to the level of charge
remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is bein
g driven, the load
reduction function temporarily deactivates certain functions, such as the air conditioning,
the heated rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated
automatically as soon as conditions permit.

Checks






Checks
12 V battery


The battery does not require any maintenance.
However, check that the terminals are clean
and correctly tightened, particularly in summer and winter.
The presence of this label, in particular with
the Stop & Star t system, indicates the use of
a specific 12 V lead-acid battery with special
technology and specification. The involvement
of a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop is essential when replacing or disconnecting
the battery.
Particle emissions filter (Diesel)

The start of saturation of thepar ticle filter is indicated bythe fixed illumination of this warning lamp
accompanied by a warning message in the screen (if a display screen is fitted).
As soon as the traffic conditions permit,
regenerate the filter by driving at a speed of at
least 40 mph (60 km/h) until the warning lampgoes off.
If the warning lamp stays on, this indicates a
low additive level.

On a new vehicle, the first par ticlefilter regeneration operations may be accompanied by a "burnt" smell, whichis perfectly normal.
Following prolonged operation of the vehicle at very low speed or at idle, you may, in exceptional circumstances,notice the emission of water vapour at the exhaust on acceleration. This does not affect the behaviour of the vehicle or the environment. Unless other wise indicated, check these components in accordance with the ser vicin
g and warranty booklet and according to your engine. Other wise, have them checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Air filter and passenger compartment filter
Refer to the servicing and warranty
booklet for details of the replacement
inter vals for these components.
Oil filter
Replace the oil filter each time theengine oil is changed.
Refer to the ser vicing and warranty
booklet for details of the replacement
interval for this component. When carr
ying out work on the battery, refer
to the "12 V battery" section for details of theprecautions to be taken before disconnecting
the battery and following its reconnection. Dependin
g on the environment (e.g. dusty
atmosphere) and the use of the vehicle(e.g. city driving), replace them twice as oftenif necessary.y A clogged passenger compartment filter may
have an adverse effect on the performance
of the air conditioning system and generateundesirable odours.
