Battery charge warning
light
This indicates one of the fol-
l o w i n g :
- faulty operation of the charging c i r c u i t ,
- s l a c k b a t t e r y o r s t a r t e r t e r m i n a l s ,
- a c u t o r s l a c k a l t e r n a t o r b e l t ,
- an alternator failure.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
Emission control
system warning light
(according to model)

I f i t c o m e s o n w i t h t h e e n g i n e r u n -
n i n g , t h i s i n d i c a t e s i n c o r r e c t o p e r a t i o n
o f t h e i n j e c t i o n , i g n i t i o n o r e m i s s i o n
control system.
I f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t l a s h e s , t h e r e
is a risk of damage to the catalytic
converter on petrol engines.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. Diesel engine pre-heat
warning light
W a i t u n t i l t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t
goes out before starting the engine.
I f t h e t e m p e r a t u r e i s h i g h e n o u g h ,
t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t c o m e s o n f o r l e s s
than one second. You can start the
e n g i n e w i t h o u t w a i t i n g .
Low fuel level
warning light
W h e n t h i s l i g h t i r s t c o -
m e s o n , y o u h a v e e n o u g h f u e l t o d r i v e
at least 30 miles (50 km). The tank ca-
pacity is approximately 50 litres.
Speed limiter/cruise
control indicator light

Dynamic stability
control system (ESP/
ASR) warning light

h i c l e i s m o v i n g , c o n s u l t a P E U G E O T
dealer. Anti-lock braking
system (ABS) warning
light

I f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t r e m a i n s o n o r c o -
m e s o n a b o v e 8 m p h ( 1 2 k m / h ) , t h i s
indicates an ABS malfunction.
H o w e v e r , t h e v e h i c l e r e t a i n s c o n v e n -
tional servo-assisted braking.
I l l u m i n a t i o n o f t h i s w a r n i n g l i g h t , a c -
companied by an audible signal and
a message on the multifunction dis-
p l a y , i n d i c a t e s a f a u l t i n t h e A B S s y s -
tem.
